The ’Great War’ of 1914-1918, was devastating
to all countries involved and was played out
on a huge scale. From 1914-1918, about 65
million men marched to war.
The Western Front was one of the most
decisive theatres of war.
It was in this arena that Australian and
New Zealand soldiers made their greatest
contribution to victory, but at a terrible cost
and often in unspeakable conditions.
Many great battles were fought including
those at Fromelles, the Somme, Bullecourt,
Messines, Passchendaele and VillersBretonneux.
Forever Heroes, The Western Front, is our
ANZAC kit for 2016.
