Section A- Purpose
Article 1- Introduction
The VISHNU E-MOTO CHAMPIONSHIP- 2016 is an engineering level championship in
which student pursuing engineering in any field especially mechanical and electronics can enhance their skill by
participating in this event. This event comprises of the overall development of the student in the field of
engineering in which student can learn the design, manufacturing and team management practices.
Our main aim is to look over the eco-friendly automobiles vehicles which will be the need of the
future generation. This event is going to be organized second time in INDIA. This event is directly from the
organizers of EBRC-2015. After the grand success of EBRC-2015 , the event has now travelled to the south
zone with new venue, new place and new name VEMC-2016.
Article 2- Fundamental Vision, Mission and Scope
The E-MOTO championship is hosted by SHRI VISHNU ENGINEERING COLLEGE FOR
WOMEN. This is the first time in INDIA, a women society is launching this type of mega event in the field of
automobile to provide the best way to design and manufacture the vehicle.
In this event the student from different departments can join and form a team to manufacture a
bike. For example: students from Mechanical and Electronics or Mechatronics etc. This event is to bring the
new revolution in the field of biking and to enhance the capability to design and manufacture the Electric Bike
which can be a usable product for the future generation.

SHRI VISHNU ENGINEERING COLLEGE FOR WOMEN is a college, a part of VISHNU
EDUCATIONAL SOCIETY which is enhancing the women empowerment in the field of engineering skills. It
committed with overall growth of women in the field of engineering services. Here they study, they learn, they
implement and they share. This event is totally looked over by the administration of SVECW.

The VISHNU E-MOTO CHAMPIONSHIP- 2016 is an event initiated by SHRI VISHNU
ENGINEERING COLLEGE FOR WOMEN. This is not a commercial event or profitable event. The
registration fee is taken to provide the facility to the teams participating in the event and to conduct the event at
national level.

B4.2- Rules of Campus
All the teams members and faculties participating in this event are requested to follow the rules and
regulation of the college. If any team found not following the rules and regulations of the event as well as of
college, the organizing team can disqualify that team at any instance without giving any explanation.
If there will be any change in the rules and regulations, the organizing team will intimate the teams
regarding the change through emails, website and Facebook page.
B4.3- Right to Impound
During the event, any registered team can be called for technical inspection and examination at any
point of time and stage, and can be questioned for any technical element related to the vehicle during the event
from team's any member.
B4.4- Behavior
All the members of each and every team will have to follow the rules laid by SVECW during the
competition and behave good with their other competent as well as organizing members . Any member’s failure
to follow the rules or misbehave will result in 20 % point reduction or elimination from the event. Arguments
with officials may result the team elimination from the event.
B4.5- Query /protest
We know that each and every team is doing hard work and working for long hours to complete their
dream of making their own vehicle. In the heat of competition, emotions speak and disputes can arise, so
looking over all, VEMC- 2016 organizing committee will settle all disputes and resolve all questions quickly
and efficiently.
1. If any team protests or spreads rumours in between, team will be disqualified and will be banned for the
further competitions to be held by SVECW (SHRI VSHNU ENGINEERING COLLEGE FOR
WOMEN).

2. Details of misbehaving will be sent to the respective college/university officially from VEMC- 2016
Organizing team.
B4.6- Procedure to put up the query
1. Team captain or vice-team captain (only) will contact to the organizing head of VEMC- 2016 for the
related query and will discuss the problem.
2. Organizing team will further on settle disputes and will answer the questions within an hour after the
discussion.
B4.7- Validity of Rules
1. All the decisions during the EVENT will be taken by the Judges and Organising team only. Teams are
requested to contact organising team for any clarification.
2. All the rules are valid till the completion of the event and all is managed by the organizing head of
VEMC- 2016 and Head of SVECW.
Article 5- Participation Requirements
1) Team Name: Every team should define an attractive name to the team.
2) Team Logo: Every team should have an attractive team logo (Not downloaded or copied from the
internet).
3) Team Captain: Every team requires a Team Captain and Team Vice Captain.
4) Discipline: Every team member must be undergraduate /diploma student or pass out student, only
after the approval from their respective college/University.
5) Driver: Every team must have minimum two drivers; drivers must be minimum 18 years old. The
drivers should have a valid driving license and health insurance. We can verify the documents at any
time during the event.
6) Faculty Advisor: Every team requires One faculty advisor from any department. The faculty advisor
will be appointed by the college/university.
7) Team Member: Every team requires Minimum of 8 members and Maximum of 25 members.
NOTE: Multiple teams can participate from the same college/university in VISHNU E-MOTO
CHAMPIONSHIP- 2016, but every team should have different Team name and all the data given in the section
"Team Requirements".

Section C- Technical Requirements
Vehicle manufacturing
1. The vehicle must be designed and fabricated by the student without taking the direct help of Professional
Engineers or any company.
2. Team should have to show the required document of manufacturing which proves of self manufacturing
of the vehicle by them.
Documents should contain:


A short video of 2 minute of manufacturing of vehicle.
Pictures taken during manufacturing.
Sample of welding done on vehicle.
3. If any team is unable to show the document regarding the self manufacturing or found to be
manufactured by professionals, the team will be disqualified.
Vehicle Identification.
1. There should be a vehicle identification number in the front of the vehicle and side of the vehicle.
2. The number allotted by the VEMC- 2016 team will be the vehicle identification number.
3. It should be easily visible and max size of plate in the front view will be 10cm x10cm , for side view
team can paste the number according to design.
4. The plate can be of any material like glass Fibre, Acrylic or GI sheet upon which number will be pasted
by the team.

Note: The identification number should be like as shown in the above picture, team can use headlamps in the
bike but the number in the front should be placed as like it should be easily visible from 30m distance.
Article 1- General Design Requirements
C1.1- Vehicle Configuration
1. Maximum vehicle dimensions should not exceed than 90 cm by width and 216 cm by length and 120 cm
in height and wheel base should exceed than 153 cm.
2. Vehicle must have 2 wheels and in straight line.
3. The points of contact between the tires and the road must be symmetrical about the longitudinal
centreline of the vehicle.
4. The steering system must be able to control the vehicle and it should control the front wheel. The
steering must be attached with front wheel.
5. Leg guards i.e. bumpers are mandatory to use.
C1.2- Ground Clearance
1. Minimum ground clearance should be 6 inch measured from the lowest point of any part of the vehicle.
2. Ground clearance will be irrespective of side stand.
C1.3- Braking system

The braking system must be installed on both the wheels (Front and Rear).
Teams are allowed to use any braking system like drum brake or disc brake.
The brake should not be wire actuated. It can be actuated through mechanical linkage.
There should be minimum 1 disc brake in the vehicle.
One brake should be hand operated and other should be foot operated as in normal bikes.
Disc brake should be of hydraulic actuation, wired actuation is strictly prohibited.
The brake light (Red colour) must be used for showing the brake's actuation for both front and rear.
C1.4- Suspension system
1. Front Suspension: In front suspension system, teams must use double shocks telescopic hydraulic
suspension.
2. Rear Suspension: In rear suspension system, teams can use mono suspension as well as dual shock
suspension.

C1.5- Handle bar
1. The handle bars should have minimum ½ inch diameter ball end and the steering is sufficient to control
the front wheel. There should not be any failure like broken handle bars and joints not moving smoothly.
2. There should be proper alignment in the steering system.
3. It should be properly attached with chassis of bike.
C1.6- Horn
1. An audible warning device must be properly mounted with the vehicle.
2. It must be capable of giving sufficient audible warning of the presence of the Vehicle.
C1.7- Mud Guard
1. The vehicle should be equipped with front and rear mud guard to protect the driver from the dust coming
from the tire.
2. Its mandatory to use the mudguard.

Min size of tire should be 17 inch.
Teams can use alloy as well as spokes rims.
Teams can use slick tire or groove tire.
Cycle tire is strictly restricted.
C1.9- Indicator Light
1. There should be a indicator light for turning (right or left turn) both in front as well as rear of bike.
2. Indicator light's blinking function should be working.
3. It should be of orange colour.
C1.10- Rear view mirror
1. The rear view mirror is compulsory for all the vehicle.
2. The rear view mirror is required on the handle bar of the vehicle.
3. The rear view mirror should be on both the sides, left and right.
C1.11- Protection and shield covers
1. All the moving parts such as chains and sprockets should be shielded with the protective covers so that
in case of breakage it should not affect the driver.
2. The upper section of chain should be covered completely from driver sprocket to driven sprocket.
3. It should be mounted properly. Loose mountings will not be allowed .

C1.12- Terrain Capability
1. Vehicle must be capable of moving over all the terrain capability of road of India.
2. It should be able to climb the terrain of minimum 30 degree.
3. It should be able to cover the off road condition (Muddy road).
C1.13- Driver Requirement
1. There should be minimum two drivers in the team.
2. Each driver should be having the valid driving license issued by the government.
3. There should be individual driver medical or accidental coverage insurance and all the happening is the
sole responsibility of the driver.
4. Without driver license and medical insurance, driver is not allowed to drive the vehicle in the
competition.
C1.14- Vehicle Ergonomic Capacity
1. It should be like as prototype of a commercial bike available in the market.
2. Vehicle ergonomics should be as much that it should accommodate the driver of all sizes (Approx
Driver size between 5-6 ft).
3. The driver should comfortably reach all the actuation devices of the bike easily.
4. Average person should easily drive the vehicle.
C1.15- Material Selection for Frame
1. Teams are required to use any material of AISI or ASTM standard seamless pipe for fabricating the
chassis, but it should fulfil the safety requirement.
2. Only seamless pipe is allowed, no other material will be allowed.
3. Teams have to bring the sample of the material used and it will be checked during the technical
inspection of the vehicle.
4. The minimum diameter of the pipe should be of 1 inch.
5. The frame must contain the motor mounting space and the battery mounting space.
C1.16- Material Selection for Bodyworks
1. Teams can use the fire resistant as well as water proof material for the bodyworks.
2. They can use Glass fibre, Carbon fibre or GI sheet for body works.
3. The Body works should be properly mounted on the chassis and giving the good aesthetics to the
vehicle.
C1.17- Lock Nuts (Nylon nuts) and Fasteners
1. Threaded fasteners used must meet or exceed the metric grade of 8.8 or MS specification.
2. Teams are required to use the lock nuts at every joints of the vehicle where the nuts are required. Team
fails to do so will not be allowed to pass TI (Technical Inspection).
3. The fastener used in the vehicle must have two thread showing past of the nut.

C1.18- Vehicle Stand
1. The vehicle should be equipped with the main stand or side stand for the support.
2. Vehicle should be able to stand on without any side support.
C1.19- Vehicle Cost
1. The Electric Vehicle must be manufactured within INR 60,000. All the original bills should be provided
during marketing and sales presentation.
2. If any team is unable to show the original bill will not be allowed to participate in the competition.
C1.20- Electrical Wiring

Wiring should be done properly.
Wiring should be covered with Insulated plastic pipes.
Wiring should not be hanging below the chassis.
It should not be going through the metallic pipes of chassis.
C1.21- Fire extinguisher

Team should have to used 1 kg of fire extinguisher which will be attach to the vehicle.
The other 1 kg of fire extinguisher will be there in the team pit.
Team should be having total 2 kg of fire extinguisher.
It should be of ABC type fire extinguisher.
C1.22- Safety gears for driver
It is compulsory for the driver to wear driver suit, shoes, hand gloves and safety pads (All should be SFI
rated). Further information is given below:

C1.22.1- Driving suit

The driver must wear driving suit of SFI rating of minimum single layer.
Without driving suit team will not be allowed to drive the vehicle in the competition.
Driving suit will be checked during TI.
There will not be any alternative like leather jacket or other than driver suit.
C1.22.2- Driving gloves
Leather gloves with extra foam are acceptable.
C1.22.3- Knee and elbow pads
Pad should properly cover the joints of Arms and Legs
C1.22.4- Neck Support
The neck support must be a full circle (360°) and SFI rated. Horseshoe collars are not allowed. Simpson,
RCI, G Force, Deist or Leaf Racing Products supply neck collars that meets this requirement.

C1.22.5- Helmet
A well- fitting closed face helmet that meets one of the following certifications and is labeled as suchSnell K2000, K2005, K2010, M2000, M2005, M2010, SA2000, SA2005, SA2010-SFI 31.2A, SFI 31.1/2005FIA 8860-2004, FIA 8860-2010. Open faced helmets are not allowed. All helmets to be used in the competition
must be presented during Technical Inspection where approved helmets will be sticker. The organizer reserves
the right to impound all non-approved helmets until the end of the competition.
C1.22.6- Shoes
Fire resistant shoes made from acceptable fire resistant material must be certified to the standard
and labeled such as: SFI 3.3, FIA 8856-2000.
Note: Sport shoes/Canvas shoes/Leather shoes/Industrial safety shoes are not allowed at any point of the event.
C1.22.7- Socks
Fire resistant socks made from acceptable fire resistant material, which covers the bare skin between
the driver’s suit and the boots or shoes are required.
C1.22.8- Underclothing
It is strongly recommended that all drivers should wear a fire resistant underclothing (long pants and
long sleeve t -shirt) under their approved driving suit.
This fire resistant underclothing should be made from an acceptable fire resistant material and should
cover the driver’s body completely from neck down to ankles and also the wrists.

Note: If you do not wear fire resistant underclothing, it is strongly recommended that you wear cotton
underclothing (t -shirt and long underpants) under your approved driving suit.
Article 2- Required Power and Transmission
C2.1- Motor

Teams can use DC motor of any type.
Maximum motor power should not exceed than 1000 watts (at peak).
No constrain on torque and RPM.
Maximum input voltage to Motor and controller should not exceed than 48 volts.
C2.2- Controller
1. Teams can use any type of controller best suited for their motor, but the specification should be shown at
the time of T.I.
2. Controller should be properly mounted on the chassis.
C2.3- Transmission

Teams are free to use any transmission for example chain drive ,belt drive ,gear drive etc.
Hub motor is strictly prohibited.
The transmission system should be visible at the time of TI and Engineering Design event.
Vehicle speed must not exceed more than 60 km/h on full throttle.
Article 3- Electrical System
C3.1- General Electrical System Overview
The Electrical system of the Vehicle must include the followings:

C3.2- Battery
1. Teams can use either Li-ion battery or Lead acid battery.

2. Voltage output of battery pack should not exceed by 52 volts on full charge.
3. Maximum Current capacity of battery pack should not exceed than 80 Ah (Ampere-hours).
4. Batteries must be able to provide the power to the safety devices (brake light) for the duration of each
event.
5. Batteries should be insulated properly with insulating material.
C3.3- Kill Switch – Locations and Orientation
The electrical system must include at least two kill switches in the vehicle. The kill switches must
disconnect all the power supply sources. The kill switches must NOT disconnect the brake light. The brake light
must be operated regardless of the kill switch setting.
1. One should be installed on the steering of the bike so that driver can use it easily and it should be of red
colour.
2. Another should be installed at the rear of the vehicle which should be completely visible from outside
and easily approachable for external personnel.
C3.4- Brake Light
1. The vehicle must be equipped with a red colour brake light.
2. The brake light must be activated by brake pedal pressure and hand operation by using the brake light
switch.

Section D- QUALIFYING ROUND
Article 1- Overview
This round comprise of pre-qualification round of the teams in which teams have to send their report
through E-mail. After checking the reports, qualifying round results will be announced. This is done only to
testify that teams have necessary knowledge to manufacture the vehicle and they have researched and done
calculation for making the design.

Note:
1. All the report should be in one file (Single merged PDF).
2. Teams have to upload the report within the specified date, if any team fails, there will be negative 10
points (-10) per day of late submission, and after 10 days it will be classified as “NOT SUBMITTED”.
Further team will not be allowed to participate in dynamic round.
D3.1- Complete CAD file
1. The complete CAD file includes all the views (Top, Front, Side & Isometric view) of chassis as well as
the complete model of the bike with bodyworks.
2. Complete model of the bike shown in the CAD file should be the final appearance of your bike.
D3.2- Chassis design and simulation
This includes the chassis design report and the simulation report. This will include front impact test, side
impact test, torsion test etc along with the factor of safety for each and every test and simulation. Team has to
show the proper calculations what they are using to do the simulation of their chassis.
D3.3- Safety and ergonomics
1. This includes the safety measures used in the vehicle to protect driver from any accident or casualties.
2. The report should cover the ergonomic factors used in the vehicle.
D3.4- Suspension design
This includes the complete report upon suspension design and methodology used for choosing the
particular suspension in the vehicle in Front and Rear both. The team has to show the calculation of the
suspension geometry used in their vehicle and satisfy the selection of the particular suspension system.
D3.5- Steering design
This includes the complete report upon steering system and methodology used for choosing the
particular steering in the vehicle. The team has to design the proper steering geometry for their vehicle and has
to show the proper calculation for selecting the steering system.
D3.6- Braking system
This includes the complete report upon braking system and methodology used for choosing the
particular braking system in the vehicle in Front and Rear both. As braking is the most important part of the
vehicle as a safety aspect, the team has to be very precise to use the any type of braking system and come along
with the proper calculation in the report.

D3.7- Innovation
This includes the complete report upon the innovation used in the vehicle whether they are mechanical
or electrical or electronics. The team has to prepare the report on the proper working of their innovation and has
to give the full justification as they are going to use the particular innovation.
D3.8- Gantt chart
This chart includes the day to day working plan and structure of working of the project. Team has to

D3.9- Cost report
Teams have to present their estimated cost of vehicle. Each and every component’s cost should be
mentioned in the report. Teams have to give the comparison cost report of the actual manufacturing (using
second hand component) cost and the virtual manufacturing cost.
Note: Teams have to give minimum 2 dealers name for each and every component they are going to use in their

Article 2- Engineering Design Event
E2.1- Objective and Overview
Engineering design event includes the inspection of design of the vehicle and the questioning round with
the respective team regarding each and every department. Students will be judged upon the design they have
done and the level of manufacturing they have shown. Each and every parameter will be checked and question
can be asked from team's any member regarding the respective design and manufacturing of the vehicle.
The teams have to report the Engineering design event venue with:1. Vehicle with complete bodyworks and innovation
2. All the Technical reports of the vehicle.
3. Complete team should be present there at the engineering design event arena.
4. Qualifying round design will be matched with the final design report to check the deviation in the final
design report.
Supportive document:
1. A short 2 min video of complete manufacturing of vehicle.
2. Pictures taken during the manufacturing.
3. Sample of welding done on vehicle.

Scoring Formula:1. The vehicle with the best design and manufacturing with level of knowledge of understanding the design
and dynamics of vehicle will be getting the good marks.
2. Teams have to submit the report at the time of engineering design event otherwise 200 points will be
deducted or lead to disqualify from the engineering design event.
Article 3- Cost Report and Sales Presentation
E3.1- Cost report
Cost report includes the description of each and every component used in the vehicle with cost price. In
this team will be judged upon the way of presenting of the cost report with document and the method they have
used to reduce the overall cost of the vehicle.
E3.2- Marketing and Sales presentation
The objective behind it is if a team wants to open an industry to sell the product then how the team is
going to convince the customer to sell more and more products by giving the sales description regarding their
vehicle.
The teams have to show proper layout of the company and the fabrication plan they are going to use for
the lot production of the vehicle.
Teams have to present as like they are the official of the company and the judges are corporate
executives who have experience in marketing, production and finance as well as engineering.
E3.3- Presentation - Format
One or more team members may make the presentation to the judges. The presentation itself is limited to
a maximum of ten (10) minutes.
1. Following the presentation, there will be an approximately five (5) minute question period.
2. Only the judges are permitted to ask questions. Any team member on the presentation floor/stage may
answer the questions even if that member did not speak during the presentation itself.

quality of their actual vehicle.
Note: After going through both best marketing presentation and the cost presentation the team will be presented
with the overall Best cost and business plan winner.
Article 4- Best Innovation Test
In this event judges will visit into the pit area where all the innovations done in the vehicle will be
tested. Points will be awarded on the basis of concept, effectiveness and working of the innovation. Judges can
ask questions regarding innovation from team's any member.
1. The teams showing innovation in the qualifying round are needed to setup the innovation in the final
round also, Otherwise it can lead to point deduction.
2. Teams using innovation should properly mount it on the vehicle and it should be in working condition
during the complete event. If any team is found to disassemble the innovations from the vehicle, the
innovation point will be made zero.

Section F- Dynamic Round (Final round Part “b”)
In this round the vehicle will be dynamically tested on the ground to check the performance,
efficiency and reliability.
Article 1- Technical Inspection
F1.1- Technical Inspection Overview
Technical inspection will consist of three (3) separate parts as follows:
1. Rulebook Inspection
2. Safety Inspection
3. Electrical Inspection
Technical Inspection1. All vehicles must pass technical inspection before they are permitted to operate under power or to
participate in Dynamic Events. Pass/Fail sticker with signature of the inspector will be stickered.
2. The inspection will determine whether the vehicle satisfies the requirements and restrictions of the event
VISHNU E-MOTO CHAMPIONSHIP- 2016 rulebook.
3. If the vehicles are not ready for technical inspection when they arrive at the inspection site, they will be
sent back in the pit to perform required changes.
4. Teams will be given maximum of three chances to clear the Technical Inspection. After that the team
will be disqualified.
5. Any vehicle may be re-inspected at any time during the competition and correction of any noncompliance will be required.
6. Drivers Presence: Both the drivers must be present at technical inspection with their valid licenses and
health insurances. Without driver, Technical inspection will not be started.
7. During technical inspection original bills of motor (containing motor specifications), batteries (with
specifications) should be presented.
Note: Driving the vehicle on the site is strictly prohibited, teams will be given specified area to test their
vehicle.
F1.2- Rulebook Inspection
In this inspection the technical inspector/s will check whether rulebook is followed during the
manufacturing of vehicle or not. Any deviation from rulebook will lead to point deduction from the overall
points.

F1.3- Safety Inspection
This inspection will include an examination of vehicle and driver safety. Description is already given in
the section C1.22
1. Kill switches: Kill switches and other safety devices will be tested as it should be in working condition.
2. Brake light & horn: Proper functioning of brake light & horn will be checked. As the Endurance round
B will be on the general roads of India, these safety rules must be followed.
3. Safety Gears of Driver: It is compulsory for the driver to wear the complete safety gears as per his/her
comfort (preferred sizes).

• Driving gloves
• Knee and Elbow pads
• Fire resistant Underclothing
• High collar fire resistant shoes
F1.4- Electrical Inspection
1. Electrical & electronics circuits used in the vehicle will be inspected. All the wirings should be safe and
high current circuits must be isolated from driver.
2. Batteries must be mounted with sound engineering practice and should not become loose during any part
of event. Battery terminals must be insulated by using rubber sheets (bicycle tube etc.). Failing this, the
technical inspectors may debar the team from the dynamic events.
3. Battery pack should be mounted/connected in such a way, that it can be removed/disconnected. Use of
mechanical fixings such as nut bolts to hold the batteries are recommended.
4. Battery terminals should be tight and should not generate a spark during the race.
5. The vehicle must not have any chances of electrical shock. Loose connections and un-insulated
electrical parts should not be there.
6. The wire should pass through the proper insulating pipes.
F1.5- Self Certification Check Sheet
1. Pre-inspection required before bringing the vehicle to technical inspection.
2. Each team must Pre-inspect their vehicle for compliance with the rules.
3. The official Self Certification Check Sheet will be uploaded on the website and will also be mailed at
captain’s E-mail Id.
4. Team should be having the completed check sheet signed by the faculty advisor and the team captain.
Note: Teams presenting Self Certification Check Sheets that are (1) Incomplete, (2) Inaccurate (i.e. do not
correspond to the actual condition of the vehicle) (3) Are found to have the items not in accordance with the
rules, or (4) Do not represent a serious effort at pre-inspection will be denied for the inspection at that time and
will be sent back to the end of the inspection line.

Once a vehicle has passed technical inspection its configuration may not be modified.
Approved vehicles must remain in “as-approved” condition throughout the competition.
Any repairs of a part that is not identical as the broken part must be approved prior to the repair.
Non-identical parts not approved will be subjected to an appropriate performance penalty.
Minor adjustments permitted by the rules and normal vehicle maintenance are not considered as
modifications.
Note: After clearing the Technical Inspection round (T.I. round), a T.I. OK sticker will be awarded to the
vehicle which will make it eligible for the next round i.e. Weight test.

Article 3- Rain Test
This test is compulsory and sticker will be awarded for clearing this test. This test is to check the electric
short circuits. All the teams have to pass this test if not pass they are not allowed to go for the next round.
Battery terminals should be tight and should not generate a spark during the test. The vehicle must not have any
chances of electrical shocks after the rain fall. Loose connections and un-insulated electrical parts may lead in
short circuiting. The wire should pass through the proper insulated pipes. In this proper wiring and proper
covering of motor and battery should be there so that there should not be any problem of short circuit during
rain test.
Note: If the judges found any type of short circuit problem during rain test the team will be disqualified.
Article 4- Acceleration and Braking Test
F4.1- Overview
1. Brake test is a mandatory process, without passing this test vehicle will not be allowed to proceed
further. 3 attempts will be given to each vehicle to pass the brake test.
2. The vehicle has to accelerate at its maximum speed along a 50m track and then apply the brake and stop
the vehicle in the next length of track i.e. 6 m.
3. The time taken by the vehicle for covering 50 m length will be considered to determine the acceleration
of vehicle or a Speed Gun will be used to measure the speed before the brake line.
4. If the vehicle did not stop within the specified distance, the brake & acceleration test will not be cleared
and team has to go for next attempt.
5. If the team has cleared the brake test they may still take remaining attempts to improve their acceleration
time.

F4.2- Scoring Formula
Acceleration Score = 200 × [(Tl - Ty) / (Tl - Ts)]

Ts= fastest time by any vehicle
Ty= time for the vehicle to be scored (your vehicle)

Article 5- Weight Test
F5.1- Overview
In this round weight of the vehicle will be measured and lowest weight vehicle will get the “Light Weight
Award”.
F5.2- Scoring Formula
Lightweight score=150 × (WH – WY) / (WH-WL)
WH= Weight of heaviest vehicle.
WY= Weight if your vehicle.
WL= Weight of lightest vehicle.
Article 6- Autocross
F6.1- Overview
Auto cross is an endurance test. Here, the endurance of the vehicle in all manners will be checked.
Vehicle’s maneuverability, handling ease, ergonomics, manufacturing strength, safety etc will be checked out. It
will be combined with an integrated testing mechanism that will also check the acceleration, braking, steering,
cornering, overtaking and all other capabilities of the vehicle without hindering other vehicles movement. Each
team gets two attempt with same or different drivers. Best out of two attempts' score will be taken into the
consideration. Timings will be checked out using electronic system or stop watches. Track Details will be given
at the time of event.
F6.2- Scoring Formula
Autocross score = 200 points x [(Tl- Ty)/ (Tl -Ts)]

F6.3-Penalties on Cones down Or Out- Two seconds / cone, including any after the finish line. 20
seconds penalty if ¾th part of vehicle leaves the track.
Article 7- Endurance Test
This round is to check the performance and efficiency of the vehicle on road.
F7.1- Overview
The track will be provided of 1.2 km and 1 hour is given to the driver to ride the bike. The team which
goes through Maximum number of laps will be the endurance winner.
Teams can change the driver after 20 minutes of race starts after
giving prior notice to the judges by captain only.
F7.2- Rules of Endurance:
1. There should be no reckless or aggressive driving.
2. Signals and flags should be followed. If not, penalty will be given and first warning. If the team repeats
the team will be disqualified.
F7.3- Scoring Formula
