Personal Trainer
Laurier Brantford Recreation provides a fast paced and challenging work environment with the
opportunity to work in a team based and customer focused setting.
The Athletic & Recreation Department offers a fitness services program where members can request a
personal trainer to help them establish a workout program and achieve their fitness goals. The purpose
of a Personal Trainer is to share their extensive knowledge regarding physical fitness by creating a personalized fitness routine and teaching proper technique. We expect our Personal Trainers to be highly
motivated and sympathetic to their clients’ needs. The successful candidate will possess an outgoing
personality who can work well in a one-on-one situation.
Duties include (but not limited to):
- Follow Wilkes House Personal Training Guidelines
- Design fitness programs
- Demonstrate proper technique for specific exercises
- Answer general fitness questions your clients may have
- Following up on a client’s progress
Ideal candidate will display the following traits:
- Current and approved personal training certification
- CPR & First Aid
- Previous personal training experience preferred
- Knowledge of exercise physiology
- Patience, understanding and personable
