SKILLED Artisans
A Willing HEART
1. What would you say you are good at and love to do? Would you say you work and live
within your giftedness? Why or why not? Discuss.
2. Read Exodus 31:1-11, 35:10, 25 and 36:1-4. Why did God use “gifted and skilled artisans” to
build the Tabernacle and craft its contents? How was the construction of the Tabernacle
everybody’s work and not just the few?
3. Read Romans 12:4-8, Ephesians 4:11-16 and 1 Corinthians 12:4-18. Relate the individual
roles/gifts of people in church today to the Tabernacle artisans. How can you know and
practice your God-given gifts to serve Him and equip others inside and outside of the
church? How can you fulfill the ministry God has for you (Colossians 4:17 and Acts 20:24)?
4. What was Moses’ role (Exodus 28:1-3, 39:43, 40:16)? What were the basic functions of the
Priests (Exodus 28:1-4, 29:44)? Why did God not want Moses and Aaron to do all the work?
What is the role of elders in the church today (Acts 6:2-4, 1 Timothy 5:17 and Ephesians
4:11-12) and what are they specifically called to focus on and why? What does this mean for
the local church as a body of Christ?

5. Read Exodus 35:20-22, 29 and Exodus 36:2-7. Why is a willing heart foundational to
serving? What does God give the willing? How is Jesus our model and example of service
today (Read Mark 10:42-25, Philippians 2:5-8, John 13:13, Galatians 5:13 and Romans
12:10)? How can you personally apply this study?
