Product: K-Magrepair Temporary Magnetic Wear Liner Panels Product category: Anti-Wear Overview: The K-Magrepair panels provide quick “on the fly” durable repair of damaged or worn chute and bin walls, until permanent repair work can be scheduled. Different compositions are available to suit all applications, including high abrasion, chemical or heat resistant requirements. CAUTION: MOBILE PHONES AND WATCHES MAY BE COMPROMISED BECAUSE OF STRONG MAGNETS. Procedure: 1. Isolate, lock and danger tag the conveyor at the main positive isolator in accordance with the appropriate occupational health and safety regulations to prevent unauthorised starting. 2. Clean the ferrous metal surface where the panels will be installed. 3. Fit into place, with each panel against the next. 4. Start at the bottom of chutes or angled hoppers, fitting the first row of panels against the bottom plate or angle iron and then adding more panels up from there. 1|Page 5. All exposed edges must be supported by either equipment wall or angle iron keeper bars to prevent vibration movement. To change out panels, insert a pry bar or other thin metal tool under the panel and lift to break the magnetic bond with the steel equipment. 6. K-Magrepair temporary panels can be cut with a tile saw to allow for fitting in odd dimensional areas. K-Magrepair temporary panels can also be custom made to size on request. Holds in place even under heavy impact. 7. The installation is now complete; remove all tools and personnel danger tags. Start the process equipment on test, or manual, and observe performance after the initial start-up. K-Magrepair panel – BLACK IMPACT (SBR Rubber) For larger ore size or where material is dropping from an overhead conveyor or chute. K-Magrepair panel – WHITE CERAMIC (SBR/ Ceramic) For fine sharp particles, heat resistance or applications where rubber or urethane are not suitable. K-Magrepair panel – RED URETHANE (Polyurethane) K-Magrepair panel - GREEN URETHANE (Polyurethane) For sharp materials and sliding abrasion where rubber is not suitable or where better release properties are needed. For impact abrasion where rubber is not suitable or where better release properties are needed. K-Magrepair panel – SLIDING ABRASION (Rubber) For fine ore size or where material is sliding across wear surface with or without impact. K-Magrepair panel - UHMW (SBR Rubber) For standard use. 2|Page Installation Instructions – K-Magrepair Reusable Patches Product: K-Magrepair Reusable Magnetic Pipe and Equipment Patches Product category: Anti-Wear Overview: The K-Magrepair Reusable Patches provide a cost effective and efficient instant repair to leaks in steel equipment. This highly visible product is a quick and secure means of repairing holes in steel pipes, elbows, silos, chutes, bins, hoppers and other steel equipment subjected to abrasion, allowing the user to replace as required to keep production going until a scheduled permanent repair date. Note: Wear pads are available to resist whatever medium is being sealed (request at time of order). CAUTION: MOBILE PHONES AND WATCHES MAY BE COMPROMISED BECAUSE OF STRONG MAGNETS. Procedure: 1. Isolate, lock and danger tag the handling equipment at the main positive isolator in accordance with the appropriate occupational health and safety regulations to prevent unauthorised starting. KDOC00030 2. “Snap” one side of the K-Magrepair Patch retainers beside the worn area. Use the cutting edges of the retainers to scrape away debris to ensure a clean and secure magnetic bonding surface. 1|Page Installation Instructions – K-Magrepair Reusable Patches 3. Place the abrasion resistant wear pad(s) over the worn area. 4. To change out patches, insert a pry bar or other thin metal tool under the patch and lift to break the magnetic bond with the steel equipment. Stretch the opposite side of the magnetic K-Magrepair patch over the abrasion resistant pad Holds in place even under heavy impact. and “snap” into position. 5. The installation is now complete; remove all tools and personnel danger tags. Start the equipment on test, or manual, and observe performance after the initial start-up. K-Magrepair Mini Patch K-Magrepair Chute Patch K-Magrepair Large Patch Used on smaller diameter piping and radius surfaces. It can be used on rounded or flat surfaces where a smaller patch would work best. Ideal for larger steel surfaces such as bins, chutes and hoppers. It can be used on rounded or flat surfaces where a larger patch is required. For larger diameter piping and radii surfaces, or tough holes in corner or odd shaped steel parts. It can be used on rounded or flat surfaces.
