Maths Homework (Every child throughout the school will be given this homework by Friday 23rd October 2015. This will then be the maths homework for your child(ren) until Maths Challenge Day.) On Wednesday 18th November 2015 Finstall First School will be holding another Maths Challenge Day throughout the school. This year’s theme is The Human Body and for your homework you should make a model of the human body, or part of the skeleton. E.g. the ear. You should also research the skeleton to find out any mathematical related facts. For example: Longest/shortest bone. The amount of bones in the body and if this varies. Various measurements The list is endless and you can be as creative and adventurous as you like! Success Criteria You must: Make a poster or model of the skeleton or part of the human body. E.g. How the ear works, Write down any interesting mathematical facts about different body parts and the skeleton. Bring your work into school on Maths Challenge Day (Wednesday 18th November ). You should: Find facts about the functions of different body parts. Research the human body to find out extra information, e.g. height at different stages of life, shapes, symmetry, etc. You could: Include some photographs from your family and write mathematical facts. (Remember to ask your parents/carers before you use the photographs!) Be adventurous and find out some amazing mathematical facts about babies, toddlers, children, teenagers, adults and the elderly. Remember: you can do your homework together with your brothers and sisters as a family project.
