Illegal and dangerous parking - Despite regular and repeated requests and recent
awareness raising events about illegal parking on zig zag lines, there have been a number of incidents where children have narrowly avoided being hurt. We ask that concerned
parents/carers report any near misses to the police by telephoning 101.In addition to our
usual awareness raising notices via our Newsletter, we have requested a period of frequent patrols by Civil Enforcement Officers at the beginning and end of the school day.
Our Community Police Officers have also agreed to make repeated visits at key times.
Following reports of verbal abuse towards concerned parents by people parking illegally,
we would advise that any parent/carer, who has been subjected to this form of abuse,
contact the police with details of the incident by telephoning 101.We ask that you inform
the school in writing of any reported near misses, verbal or physical abuse, so that we
may forward concerns on to the Council’s Road Safety Team.
