How to Clean Printer
Your P430I printer will have to be cleaned after every 1000 cards.
You will need to have a long and a short cleaning card for the printer.
The printer will display clean printer when it is needed and give you some basic instructions on what you
will need to do. Once the printer displays clean printer you will push the button beside the display.
Once you push the button the printer will tell you to remove the ribbon.
To remove the ribbon, lift the cover. Everything that is in blue you can touch. To remove the ribbon, lift
up on the blue button on top of the print head and pull up. You will then pull out the ribbon the spool
on the right and the spool on the left. Be careful to not touch the print head.
Once the ribbon is out of the printer close the print head and the cover. You will then push the button
and it will ask for you to load the cleaning card.
You will then insert the cleaning card into the printer. The belt will spin and you will need to use a blank
card to nudge the cleaning card into the machine.
Once the small cleaning card runs through the machine it will state push button to continue. Do not
push the button until you have the long card ready to go into the machine.
Take the long card out of the package.
Once the card is out of the package hold it into the exit of the printer. Now, press the button and feed
the long card into the exit end of the printer.
Once the long card has finished the printer will tell you to install the ribbon.
Lift the cover and put the ribbon back into the machine.
When installing the ribbon the fat white end goes on the right hand roller to the back. Once you put the
ribbon on both of the rollers push them in one more time you may hear a click to make sure they are
seated correctly.
After putting the ribbon on gently close the print head and the cover. The printer will then begin cycling
the ribbon and will be ready for printing.
