Howdy Trailblazers! It’s time for Pioneer Day! Take advantage of the pre-sale
registration. Every child who pre-registers for Pioneer Day will receive a PCE
Trailblazer drawstring backpack to hold all of their prizes. Take a look at the
booth page and determine how many wristbands you will need for lots of fun!
This year you will be able to purchase wristbands for a meal from TK Burgers,
Old World Roasted Corn, dippin’ dots, Cotton Candy, Wiki Wiki and Jamba Juice.
Please take a look at the food page and select which items you would like to
purchase.. Class Basket raffle tickets are also available for pre-sale!

CHILI COOK-OFF
Are you hot & spicy or are you on the mild side with a hint
of sass? Do you have a place on your mantel to display the
highly coveted fun & whimsical trophy? Dig out your
family secret chili recipe and dust off the chili pot.
Peters Canyon Annual Chili Cook Off will be held on Pioneer Day!
Fun & whimsical trophies will be awarded to the top three chili cooks! Participants: bring your
chili to school in a crock-pot with your special condiments, ladle & extension cord, if you
please, by the 2:30pm Chili Check-In on Friday, June 3rd. Cook-Off judging will be between
3:00pm-3:45pm. Winners will be announced by 4:15pm. Chili will be available
to purchase after the judging for 3 tastes for $1.00. To enter, complete the
Chili Cook-Off Contest entry section on the registration form.
APPLE PIE BAKING CONTEST
In the spirit of old fashioned fun, we are hosting the 8th Annual Pioneer Day
Apple Pie Contest! Start peeling those apples & put on that apron!
Dust off a place in your kitchen to display your new Apple Pie Trophy!
Fun & whimsical trophies will be awarded to the top three bakers!
Participants may bring their home baked pie(s) in a 9-inch aluminum
pie pan by the 2:30pm Apple Pie Check-In on Friday, June 3rd.
Pie judging will be between 3:00pm-3:45pm.
Winners will be announced at 4:00pm.
Pie slices will be available for purchase after the judging for $1.00 each.
PIONEER DAY CAKE WALK DONATIONS NEEDED!
Donate a cake or other sweet treats for the Pioneer Day Cake Walk…
homemade or store-bought, we LOVE them all! BRING YOUR DONATION
TO SCHOOL ON FRIDAY MORNING, JUNE 3RD BY 9AM.
Volunteers will be in FRONT of the school...you won’t
even have to get out of your car, we will come to you!
PRIZES WILL BE GIVEN FOR HOMEMADE ITEMS IN THE
FOLLOWING CATEGORIES: BEST USE OF WESTERN THEME,
BEST STUDENT-DECORATED CAKE, MOST ORIGINAL DESIGN.
Be sure to mark your name, the category for judging and if the
cake was student decorated. Disposable containers appreciated.
EACH CAKE OR SWEET DONATION WILL RECEIVE
TWO RAFFLE TICKETS FOR THE CLASSROOM BASKET DRAWING.

Each registered student/child will receive a backpack with their pre-paid booth wristbands. All wristbands and backpacks
will be delivered prior to dismissal on Pioneer Day to the oldest child. Please make checks payable to PCE PTO and staple
to registration form. Please send the form to school with your child or drop in the Pioneer Day Registration box at the
