The Free American remains committed to
bringing the truth to the American people. We believe
that in a free society, it is the job of the press to be
the watchman of the government. It then falls upon
the people, being fully informed, to decide what
actions they must take to preserve and defend their
liberty.
The Free American is unabashedly, proAmerican. Too many of our ancestors fought and
died to protect our Constitution, the oldest in the
world, to insure that we would retain those liberties
spelled out in our Bill of Rights.
Based on the knowledge we have compiled over
the last nine years of publication, we believe there
is a verifiable, well documented plan to force
Americans into a Global Government, complete with
one world banking, a global ID system, an
international police force, and a disarmed populous.
This is unacceptable to us personally and
incompatible with our Constitution and Bill of
Rights.
Those who advocate such a global system and
the dismantling of our Bill of Rights, are either
misguided, uninformed or, if totally knowledgable,
traitors to this country. We will expose them.

There comes a time in our lives when things just do not work
and we have to make changes. This is one of those times in my
life and I am reaching out to you to help me determine what
changes to make and how to do that. I would like to put you to
work using the tool I have crafted. This magazine!
Many of you have been with me for years. You have read my
columns, listened to my broadcasts and watched my films. You
bikers out there have looked at my photos of beautiful women,
gorgeous motorcycles and shared my stories of my encounters
with famous bikers in Thunder Riders. You know who I am and
what I think, but trying to put together a coherent and viable
organization in opposition to the status quo is a more difficult
now than it has ever been. Unless a few people decide to get out
of the cities and move here to be a part of a bold new concept in
living, I may not be able to do it from Bingham like I once did. I
have considered putting Bingham up for sale and relocating to
another city or state where I can find the help I need to do all of
the things that need to be done but this month people have started
coming here and pitching in so I have not lost hope.
I put Thunder Riders on hold while I concentrated on getting
the Free American reestablished and back into the book stores
but there are biker groups out there that are trying to help call
attention to the plight of Nacho Ramos and the invasion of
illegals. I told them they could use Thunder Riders to alert the
other bikers. “But we have heard you are racist, Clay!”
Just as the Minutemen are called Vigilanties, and the Militia
terrorists! Name calling and demonization has always been the
tool of tyrants and Elitists. I am still looking at the Zionists,
Muslims, Illegals, ADL and Americans who support one world
government or empire. I told you the War on Terror is a war on
any who do not go along with or support one world government.
The FBI has put out a flyer accusing people who support the
Constitution or oppose the UN as domestic terrorists. That would
include all of us, police, politicians, and current and former
soldiers. The most recent move against the Vets and police, is to
disarm Vets who suffered from Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome.
In this issue, featured on the cover, is one of our Border Patrol
officers put in prison on the testimony of a drug smuggling illegal
who was given immunity in return for his testimony by Homeland
Security.
An important point here is that you cannot blame a whole
people for the faults of the few, whether they be Americans,
Arabs, Blacks or Jews. You must single out the ones in charge
who are responsible for the direction the whole are moving us
in.
John Trochmann and I and others formed the Militias after
Waco... Until the OKC blast and Timothy McVeigh, an employee
of the US Army, were used to tarnish the Militia Movement.
More Scammers. Then 9-11 happened and our stable world began
to crumble. Well, at least mine did. Up to this point in time, the
only Terrorists I could see were working for our government,
like the BATF with back up from the FBI, as demonstrated by
the actions against the Branch Davidians in Waco. Suddenly the
Muslims were the new enemy overshadowing the evil
Constitutionalists and their Militias. That would not last long.
We are back at the top of the list!
My perceptions, after 9-11, was that this was an engineered
event not done by Arabs in a cave in Afghanistan anymore than
OKC had been done by the Militias. I saw Osama Bin Laden in
the same light of Tim McVeigh and Lee Harvey Oswald. I
referred to the trade towers as an exaggerated case of “Jewish
Lightning” (Larry Silverstein bought the towers for $500 million,
insured the complex for 700 billion and collected a few short
months later). I featured a picture of Building Number 7 on the
cover of the last Free American in 2004 along with Silverstein’s

statement that he had “pulled” #7. That and my film, “The True
Face of FEMA, exposed the Zionist created “Homeland Security”
agenda against Americans, is what, I believe, led to my “accident”
and three hospitals keeping me unconscious unnecessarily for
three months, so my cracked ribs and collarbone could heal!
So I moved back to New Mexico to clean up my property
and attempted to borrow money on the equity I had built up over
the last ten years. I closed down Thunder Riders and started
doing my show on the Internet and figured I might be able to
find some investors or help, using the Internet, since I was so far
away from any major town.
I got out two issues but this issue was been delayed by
circumstances beyond my control: My home/office was broken
into, my computer and every weapon with which I might have
been able to defend myself with, including my bows and arrows
stolen. My other computers were damaged, by means unknown
(not viruses). But your subscriptions have been extended
appropriately. I have been going through all of my order books
and trying to make sure your subs are updated since the updated
list was in the stolen computer. If you have ordered a sub please

This theft and the unexplainable, recurring delays in my
attempt to get my property refinanced to keep this magazine going
are only the latest of ten years of escalating attacks and mishaps
of which I have kept you apprised. These incidents are simply
outside the realm of statistically possible accidents. These
problems are not attributable to errors of judgment, mistakes in
marketing or my combative, aggressive personality. Like 150
credit checks by that many mortgage companies I never contacted
or heard of to drive my credit score too low to borrow!
My website was taken down after a large company bought
out the company who has hosted my site for the last ten years.
After a few months of hassles that had never been there before,
the new company shut down my site and everyone else’s, stopped
answering their phones, and we could not come up with the codes
to transfer my domain to another provider. Finally the phone

rang and it was the former owner who asked if I would like to
get my site back up. Hell, yes was my answer. Seems the people
who bought the company, never bothered to pay for it and split
with the equipment leaving everyone hanging. Kind of like
blowing up a plane to get one man and it has happened to other
Freedom Fighters also.
No sooner did my site get back up and operating on a limited
basis, when other problems surfaced.
Using my website and shortwave broadcasts, and Yahoo
Messenger, I put out a call for help. I got help. Over a million
dollars in investments and checks came in from those who said
they wanted to help..... All in hot checks and forged money
orders!
The volume and nature of these attacks and scams has made
me think that perhaps there was an intelligence of sorts directing
these operations. They could be using the lack of an extradition
treaty with Nigeria to not only scam Americans out of millions,
but to use the beautiful women, who might be part of the Israeli
white slavery/prostitution rings, to target prominent and
unpopular enemies without fear of retribution or interference by
the FBI.
Checks made out in my banker’s name were mailed directly
to the bank with one of my account numbers scribbled on the
back. The banker called, I told her to check and see if the check
was good. The check turned out to be bad like so many others
that I never let get to the bank. Usually, the manager and I found
out they were bad, I took a copy of the check and envelope to
the Sheriff’s office and went on with my business. This time the
bank closed my account and the assistant manager would not let
me see it, and would not give me a copy to take to the sheriff.
My account had been closed and my money frozen. No way for
my credit cards to go into the account, no way to use my debit
card to get gas.or run credit cards. A meeting with a lawyer and
some good advice and we were back up and operating as usual
in days albeit under so many corporate shells that I feel like a
conspirator. But I believe that Col. Brinkerhoff was correct when
he said in my film, “The True Face of FEMA”, that we are in a
war and, “our enemies will use unconventional methods.” What
makes this scenario interesting is neither the banks or the FBI
were interested in obtaining any information from me about who
may have been responsible for sending these checks to me!
According to the FBI, the Nigerian and Ghanaian scammers
operate with the blessings of the local governments because they
constitute the largest industry in these African Countries. There
was such a flood of attention and so much of it was pure con, I
plan to write a book on it This book, while containing personal
information about me and detailed photos, some graphic, should
serve as a warning to all Americans of the insidious nature of
these scammers. If an investigative reporter and a streetwise
biker can be led into this convoluted world where nothing is
real, imagine what could happen to the average man or woman,
looking for love, sucked into this, offered big bucks and beautiful
companions for so little money. Multiply that by a few million
lonely men and vulnerable women and you have an industry as
big as drugs. This is only a sampling of the information I have
gathered. It will soon be in my book. One of many I am sending
out to other publishers in my attempt to restructure my life in
some semblance of sanity.
Yes, it has been discouraging, but I am one of the lucky ones
in this battle. I am still writing and still walking. People still
enjoy my articles, films and books, and the articles I select for
the Free American have been and always will be accurate and
years ahead of main stream news. What we talked about years
ago in the Free American are today’s headlines for reporters like

Lou Dobbs, who have enough courage to start telling America
what I told them five years ago.
And as you will see in this issue, I am not the first to be
attacked, harassed, demonized and made a target. You may call
me unlucky and laugh at my problems and blame it on my
outspokenness, but I am the canary in the coal mine. When you
become aware of the hidden war and unseen enemies, you and
your family might have a chance to stand up for right, not might,
with many others behind you, thanks to my efforts, and those of
Patriots like Mark Korneke, Ezra Pound, and Rick Stanley.
Yes, I have been attacked, subjected to demonization but
Mark just got out of prison on a bogus charge, Ernst Zundel and
Fritz Springmier are still in Prison. Rick Stanley had his bond
revoked after a higher court upheld his conviction on Rick’s test
of the Second Amendment in Colorado. My friend and fellow
talk show host Bill Cooper was killed by a police sting. Foreign
agencies like the ADL demonized Cooper in propaganda sent to
police, because of the information he put out. The police should
be made aware of the truth of Cooper’s and my words and
research! The inclusion of articles and support of the Free
American by former and current police will give us the credibility
we need to educate the politicians, police and soldiers before it
is too late.
In every country where there has been a communist takeover,
the same patterns emerge. They try to take out the farmers first
and the intelligentsia, honest leaders, teachers and police and
soldiers who are still loyal are taken out next. Anyone with the
intelligence to study, read history and observes current national
events becomes a threat and they will try to take us out first.
I am proud to tell you that there are several highly decorated
police officers who are trying to let people know what they have
finally come to see. The attacks on law enforcement is evidenced
by the story on Border Patrol Agents Ramos and Campeon. The
Veterans Disarmament Bill in Congress right now are part of
these tactics.
This is too big a battle and the issues to large and varied to
be covered by just one man. With the Free American, we have a
voice and a source of income while the rest of the country is
sold out to foreign interests. We have National Distribution
through Ingram Periodicals, the largest in the country. We need
a sales force, men and women with computers and phones to
handle sales from the comfort of your own home using your
computer and Yahoo Messenger in every state. We have exclusive
territories for advertising sales and subscriptions and you would
be in charge of booths at major motorcycle and patriot events in
your area and booking me and others on local talk shows.
The NWO, NeoCons are on the move and the North American
Union is almost a reality. The only defense we have is our ability
to communicate and counter their efforts to enslave us. It is not
an ego trip or power play on my part. You are holding in your
hands the best defense to tyranny. I have been fortunate to be
well read and well traveled and have had the opportunity to meet,
talk with and learn from so many high level thinkers. Now I am
asking you to put that knowledge and experience to work for all
of us.
Become and be proud to be a Free American! We need people
to help educate and organize others otherwise you will obediently
board the trains like the Jews in Germany.

deserts and lakes and is affecting us all.

Patriots follows the pattern of attacks
against a long line of notable people,
people like the intellectuals in Red China,

here. When a coup occurs, it is important
to take out all who have the intellectual
ability to discern who and what is
responsible for the atrocities that will
follow.
The new laws allow for the suspension
of Habeas Corpus and the imprisonment
of people like me with no explanation, no
notification of our families, and no access
to an attorney. What is happening to me
alone here in Bingham is happening to
millions of Americans in our towns and
cities. The Internet is a double edged
sword. It gives us access to information
previously hidden, but it opens us up to
scammers, tracking, monitoring and
isolates us at the same time. We should
approach it with caution.
It does not provide us with the safety,
security and familiarity of the community.
In some strange way, Hillary Clinton was
right about it taking a village. We do need
a village. This was the concept that I
envisioned with Liberty Villages, smaller
homes, smaller, tighter, self-sufficient
communities. And they are out there,
Liberty Villages by the thousands. The
basis of the America we once had. Many
abandoned and dying like Bingham. Just
waiting for the right people to abandon the
New World Order concentration camps,
factories and prisons we call cities and
come back home.
I believe that we can stand up against
the New World Order just as Jesus,
Washington and Jefferson did in their day.
You have a choice for President next year
in Ron Paul, the only candidate that is
really talking about the real issues, like the
Federal Reserve, the IRS, the War in Iraq
and the planned war in Iran and who
promises to restore our Constitution and

may not be in the slick format needed to

but I will continue to write, create and
speak out against all forms of tyranny and

Who and What Are We?
Biologically as humans we consist of

Scientists have identified at least

Sick Soils, Sick Plants, Sick People
All naturally fertile soils contain adequate amounts of humic and fulvic acids

Our modern agriculture aims at one
goal (with few exceptions) which is market. Food quality is sacrificed for food

When microbes are depleted from the

The transplantation of bone tissue is
required in about 15% of all cases of replacement surgery of the locomotor apparatus, and it is generally applied to reconstitute and repair actual defects in bone.
Human donor tissues have become
scarce due to special legal requirements
and necessary additional testing because

then became highly osteoconductive, and
served the host tissue as a “guide-line” for
the deposition of newly developing bone
tissue. The same transplant procedure
without the fulvic acid showed no signs
of regeneration during the course of the
experiment.
While on the lookout for a new group
of active agents with the ability to promote
wound healing, the doctors came across
the humic substances. The doctors said
that the bone resorption is most easily explained by the known ability of humate to
induce the activation of leucocytes. They
said that previous experiments had established that the humic substances are able
to bind to calcium-containing compounds,
stimulate granulocytes, and block the infectivity of the HIV virus.

Pandemic Influenza — Preparing for
Possible Shelter-In-Place
U.S. Consulate General for Hong Kong
The U.S. Department of State recently sent a cable to all
diplomatic and consular posts entitled “Pandemic Influenza:
Preparing for Possible Shelter-In-Place”. The cable’s main
intent was to provide guidance to all staff regarding “shelterin-place”. That is, in the event of severe pandemic influenza
with high morbidity, the public may be advised to self-quarantine. Therefore, current guidance notes that families should
be prepared to “shelter-in-place” for up to twelve weeks, and
maintain sufficient food and water supplies to accommodate
that entire period.
Just as in the United States, U.S. government employees
and their families overseas have primary responsibility for
maintaining adequate supplies of food to shelter-in-place. This
also applies to private U.S. citizens. For the long term, families are advised to store foods that are non-perishable, do not
require refrigeration, or preparation (including the use of
water), or cooking. The cable also advises that families should
store one gallon of water per person per day.
Potable Water
Please note that at this time, Hong Kong’s water supply
is potable. In the event of complete infrastructure breakdown,
water supply that is currently potable in some areas or countries may not remain so. However, water can be purified in
several ways. Boiling is a reliable method for killing microbes
and parasites. Bring water to a rolling boil and continue boiling for at least ten minutes. Also, regular Clorox Bleach isn’t
just a laundry-aid, it’s a lifesaver (use only regular Clorox
bleach, not Fresh Scent or Lemon Fresh). In an emergency,
one gallon of Regular Clorox Bleach purifies 3,800 gallons
of drinking water. First, let water stand until particles settle.
Filter the particles if necessary with layers of cloth, coffee
filters, or fine paper towels. Pour the clear water into an uncontaminated container and add Regular Clorox Bleach per
the below indicated ratio, mix well, and wait 30 minutes. Water
should have a slight bleach odor.

My name is Joe Loya and I am the
father- in- law of Border Patrol agent
Ignacio ‘Nacho’ Ramos.
There are plenty of versions of what
actually took place when two Border Patrol agents, Ignacio Ramos and Jose
Compean, tried to chase down a drug
smuggler in El Paso. But, unless you were
there; unless you were present for the fifteen day trial; unless you paid $6,000.00
to read the 3000 pages of transcripts; unless you spoke with their fellow officers;
unless you saw the affidavits from jurors
who claimed that they were bullied into
going along with the conviction, you cannot appreciate the enormity of this outrage.
Please listen to my story and then, please,
do everything you can to persuade President Bush to issue an immediate pardon
to these two fine agents.
What really happened? Basically, two
Border Patrol agents, attempting to interrupt a cross-border drug smuggling operation, fired their weapons in self-defense
at an admitted illegal alien, drug smuggler,
Osbaldo Aldrete-Davila. The smuggler
managed to escape across the border into
Mexico, but he left his vehicle, loaded
with more than 700 pounds of marijuana.
It was another good bust. (Agent Ramos
has taken part in more than 100 drug busts
and has never hurt anyone, despite having been assaulted and fired upon many
times.)
Davila surfaced again a month later
with the help of his life-long friend, Border Patrol agent Rene Sanchez, stationed
in Willcox, Arizona. Davila was also assisted by Homeland Security agent Christopher Sanchez in El Paso, who started an
investigation into the case. Somehow, they
managed to get Debra Kanof, Chief Prosecutor for Major Crimes with the U.S.
Attorney’s Office in the Justice Department involved. (How or why someone at
this level would want to escalate and aggressively prosecute two outstanding BP
agents for administrative policy violations
is a whole other story.)
Kanof acted swiftly, handing out immunities to anybody who would testify
against Ramos or Compean. She also provided the drug smuggler with free medical attention at William Beaumont Army
Hospital in El Paso and free passage back
and forth between the U.S. and Mexico,
not bad treatment for an illegal alien and
known drug smuggler. Kanof alleged that
the smuggler was an innocent person who
was shot by the agents as he ran away from
them, fearing the agents were trying to beat

him up.
The details. With Ramos and
Compean in hot pursuit of this drug smuggler, Davila was forced to ditch his van
loaded with 743 lbs of marijuana. In attempting to escape, Davila assaulted and
cut BP agent Jose Alonso Compean and
left him on the ground bleeding. While
Compean was chasing Davila on foot,
Ramos had been trying to outflank Davila
to cut off his escape into Mexico.
Hearing gun shots and calls for help
from his fellow agent, Ramos raced to the
scene and found Compean on the ground
bleeding. He saw Davila racing towards
the Rio Grande, about to cross into Mexico
and escape.
Agent Ramos began to chase after the
smuggler who had just assaulted his fellow officer. Then the smuggler turned and
pointed something at Ramos that he believed was a gun. The time was approximately 1:15pm. It was broad daylight.
Ramos, fearing for his life and believing
that Davila had already been shooting at
his fellow officer, took a single shot at the
smuggler. At this time, nobody knew that
the smuggler had been wounded.
The smuggler turned back towards the
border and kept running. He disappeared
into the tall, thick brush along the river.

Later, Davila was spotted running across
the dry river bed and jumping into a waiting vehicle with two other suspects. This
was witnessed by four Border Patrol
agents, documenting that Davila was not
some “innocent” illegal alien, but a bona
fide drug smuggling operation. The three
smugglers took off and the agents walked
back to the abandoned van where they dis-

BP supervisor, Jonathan Richards,
who had arrived on the scene, was very
angry that the smuggler had gotten away.
Richards ordered everyone to report to the
station. He also told them to load the 743
lbs of marijuana onto their vehicles and
take it to the station.
Richards never went across the canal
to investigate the assault or to check on
agent Compean. Ramos and another agent,
named Yrigoyen later testified they told
Richards that Compean had been assaulted. At the station, another agent,
Mendez, stated that Compean had cuts on
his face and hand. He said this in the presence of Supervisor Richards. This is significant because Richards denied having
any knowledge of Compean’s injuries.
The BP supervisor lied on the witness stand, testifying that no one told him
Compean had been assaulted, which is his
excuse for never notifying the F.B.I. of
this fact. The truth is that he offered
Compean medical attention and had asked
Compean several times if he was OK. The
physical evidence was apparent as
Compean was cut and covered with dirt.
Richard’s failure to notify the F.B.I. of the
assault is the reason why the case was
never investigated.
Because of the supervisor’s actions,
none of the agent’s filled out firearms discharge reports. This administrative policy
violation calls for a five day suspension
without pay. After checking again on
Compean’s condition and asking him if he
wanted to file assault charges, according
to testimony, Richards then made a statement saying, “If we call the F.B.I. we are
going to be here all night doing paperwork. We will never know who the person was that assaulted you although we’ve
got the van and the marijuana.” After that,
everyone went back to work.
The Arrest.
In a dramatic display of overkill, the
two BP agents, Ramos and Compean, were
arrested by SWAT teams, armed with automatic weapons, at their homes. They
were roughed up by the arresting officers
before handcuffing them. And all of this
was done in front of their families, including their young children.
They were charged with attempted
murder, indicted, placed under house arrest for eight long months; tried and convicted by overzealous, unethical and vicious prosecutors who were certainly not
out for justice, but for reasons that, someday, hopefully, will become clear.

During their time in jail, awaiting
their trial, Ramos and Compean were offered plea bargains approximately eight
times. The last offer came five weeks before trial. That offer was for one year in
prison and reimbursement to the government for the $35,000 in medical bills for
the treatment of the drug smuggler.
Kanof continued to pile up counts
against them until the agents were facing
40 years to life because of the count stacking. They rejected the plea bargain because they knew they were innocent and
they had faith in our country’s legal system. Had they been guilty, they would have
taken those plea bargain offers in a heart
beat.
The Trial.
The prosecutor, Debra Kanof said that
all Davila was trying to do was get back
home to Mexico. She said the agents never
should have chased him, because they did
not know what was in the van. (Doesn’t spotting a van crossing the Mexican border into
the U.S., illegally, count as probable cause
to warrant interdiction by the BP?)
The supervisor, clearly under pressure
from Major Crimes Prosecutor Kanof, testified that he knew nothing of the pursuit,
even though he had been on the scene and
had been inspecting the van with several
other agents.
At the trial, the drug smuggler claimed
that Compean fired 5 or 6 shots at him.
During the trial, the prosecution upped that
number to 16 shots.
The story Davila told the Justice Department was that he was walking across
from Mexico (illegally) when Ramos and
Compean tried to beat him up. Although
under oath, he changed his story many
times during the trial. He finally admitted
that he was paid $1000.00 to bring the load
to an El Paso stash house after he was
given immunity from prosecution in exchange for his testimony against the two
agents.
Davila claimed that he was shot in the
back as he fled back to Mexico. The U.S.
Army doctor who removed the bullet fragment from the smuggler’s right groin disagreed. Although he was testifying as a
government witness, he told the truth and
stated, “The smuggler was not shot from
behind”. “He was in a running position,
(bladed position) and pointing back with
his left arm and hand when the bullet hit
his left side of his left buttock and traveled to his right groin.
The prosecution then suggested that
he may have been shot as he was running
across and not away from agent Ramos.

The doctor disagreed and so he was
quickly dismissed by the prosecution.
The Bottom Line. The two agents
were sentenced to 11 and 12 years in federal prison, respectively, on charges of
assault with a deadly weapon and for violation of the drug smuggler’s civil rights.
They were charged with 11 and 12 counts,
respectively, because every time they rejected Kanof’s offer to plea bargain, she
would become furious and dream up more
counts against them.
In less than six weeks, two brave,
honest and dedicated young agents, who
have risked their lives for many years arresting illegal aliens, human smugglers
and drug smugglers, will be sent off to
prison, while Osbaldo Aldrete-Davila, a
known drug dealer goes free.
While my family is suffering emotional trauma and financial disaster, this
low-life drug smuggler is laughing at the
Border Patrol and planning to sue them
for $5 million dollars. (Joe is Nacho’s father-in-law.)
Our family is already in debt more
than $100,000 in legal fees. We are right
on the edge of financial disaster and yet,
if these agents are not pardoned, we will
have to raise the funds necessary to pay
for the appeal to get a new, fair trial.

Ernst Zuendel. Labeled a “Holocaust denier,”
Ernst has been in jail for almost four years without being charged with a violent crime or without even being convicted of a non-violent one.
He is 67 year old.
As a six-year old Ernst witnessed the Allied firebombing of Pforzheim in which ten to
twenty thousand German civilians were killed.
As a teenager he became a pacifist; at age 19
he moved to Canada to avoid serving in the
post-war German army. In Canada he worked
as a graphic artist and publisher specializing in
20th century German history. Many of the
books he republished questioned the Holocaust, such as the underground booklet Did Six
Million Really Die? by Richard Harwood. Others he merely distributed, like The Rudolf Report by Germar Rudolf, An Eye for an Eye:
The Untold Story of Jewish Revenge Against
Germans in 1945 by John Sack, and Jewish
Supremacism: My Awakening to the Jewish
Question by David Duke. He also sold books
on UFOs and alternative medicines.
Ernst’s interest in history and revisionism
led him to dispute and challenge specific “facts”
about the Holocaust. He claimed
1. that Hitler’s “Final Solution” was intended to be ethnic cleansing, not extermination
2. that there were no homicidal gas chambers used by the Third Reich. (He did not deny
that there were gas chambers used for disinfection.
3. there were fewer than 6 million Jews
killed of the alleged 55 million who died in
WWII
Over the years such firmly held beliefs expressed in writing and later on his wife’s
Internet site (www.zundelsite.org <http://
www.zundelsite.org/> ) caused him to be
charged with incitement. He was tried twice
in Canada. In the middle of the second trial in
1988, Ernst sent the first forensic team to
Auschwitz. It was this “Leuchter Expedition”
and the subsequent Leuchter Report that he
believed revolutionized Holocaust revisionism,
taking it beyond the “he said, she said...” testimonies and into the realm of solid forensic science.
Such endeavors made him the target of
those who protect the standard Holocaust narrative. He survived three assassination attempts, including by arson and pipe bomb, and
although he lived in Canada for 42 years, he
was never able to gain Canadian citizenship
even though immigration officials had de20
scribed his application as “flawless.”
While some consider his views to border
on heresy, freedom of speech in both the
United States and Canada protected his right
to publish and distribute the truth as he sees
it. But neither our Bill of Rights nor the
pleadings of his lawyers could prevent his
being rendered by the United States, forced
back to Canada, and then on to Germany
where denying or revising certain aspects of
the Holocaust is a crime.
The Latest Incarceration
On February 5, 2003, Ernst was arrested
at his home in the mountain region of eastern Tennessee. He was seized on the pretext
that he had violated immigration regulations,
or had missed an interview date with US immigration authorities, even though he had entered the US legally, was married to an American citizen, had been checked out by the FBI,
had been given a health check, a work permit, and a social security number, had no
criminal record, and was trying to secure status as a permanent legal resident.
After being held for two weeks, he was
deported to Canada. For the next two years
— from mid-February 2003 to March 1, 2005
— he was held in solitary confinement in the
Toronto West Detention Centre, on the charge
that he was a threat to national security. Like
others who suffer rendition, there was no bail,
no public trial, and no appeal. His mail was
censored and the lights in his cell were kept
on day and night.
On March 1, 2005 Ernst was put in handcuffs and leg irons on a private jet and deported from Canada to Germany where he
has been held as an a prisoner under investigation. As in Canada, bail was again denied.
On June 29, 2005, the state’s prosecutor, Mr.
Grossman, formally charged him with inciting “hatred” by having written or distributed
texts that “approve, deny or play down” genocidal actions carried out by Germany’s wartime regime, and which “denigrate the
memory of the [Jewish] dead.” The trial began on November 8, 2005, eight months after he arrived in Germany.
Ernst is confined to his cell 22 ¾ hours
per day. He has no access to phone or Internet
and he may not communicate anything about
the trial. He is able to receive two 30-minute
visits per month, but all conversations must
be in German or must be conducted through
a prison-approved translator.
Still Ernst remains upbeat and convinced
that he has made a contribution to the truth
surrounding WWII and the Holocaust. He
does not deny that millions of people suffered
at the hands of the Nazis, including millions
of Jews, who were worked to death and suffered from disease (especially typhus) and
who were often deliberately murdered both
inside and outside of concentration camps.

But he does not regard Jewish suffering as
unique. He considers his efforts to tell the
truth about the Holocaust as ground breaking and is satisfied to let others continue the
research.
Ernst believes that Zionists treat the Holocaust as a sword and a shield to deflect criticism of their racist quest to build a Jewish
state in Palestine, a state in which over half
the people today are not Jewish, “the state”
being defined as all the land currently controlled by Israel, including West Bank, Gaza,
and the Golan Heights. He regards himself
as a political prisoner of Zionists who try to
erase his contributions and punish him with
defamation and imprisonment.
A Day in Court
An admirer once described Ernst Zuendel
as “an outgoing, good-humored man who is
blessed with a rare combination of unflagging optimism and practical ability. He maintains this infectious spirit even under very trying conditions. He is an unusually alert and
sensitive individual with a keen understanding of human nature. He inspires confidence,
loyalty and affection.” On December 7, 2006
I witnessed his trial in Mannheim and found
this description to be uncannily accurate.
On that particular day those in the courtroom included Ernst, three judges, three jurors, a court reporter, three defense attorneys,
four armed guards, twenty-four spectators,
and one prosecutor, Mr. Grossman. Ernst
wore an old blue suit with a red tie; he was
attentive; he often smiled approvingly when
something was said with which he agreed.
The guards were friendly but disinterested.
Facing the court, all the participants sat on
the left hand side, except the state prosecutor
who sat all by himself at a table on the right
side. The jurors and the court reporter sat in
line with the judges on an elevated platform
along the front and the spectators sat in rows

along the back wall. No media were present.
The spectators were clearly there for
Ernst. Most were German men in their late
60s or 70s; there were also a couple of
younger women. Several men commented
that they were proud of having been to every
court session with Ernst over the past 21
months. Although they had not met him personally, they were following his trial closely
and were supportive of him. They were helpful to my American Jewish colleague and me
and guided us through the security outside
the courtroom and made sure we got front
row seats so that we could fully appreciate
the courtroom experience. Many spoke English and had sons and daughters in America.
Most were retired but one younger man had
taken time off from work to witness this day
of the trial.
Ernst and his attorneys have not been allowed to discuss or challenge the veracity of
the facts about the Holocaust, including facts
that Ernst disputes and about which he would
like to submit scientific evidence and expertwitness testimony.
Offenkundigkeit, the German version of
judicial notice, precludes it. The court is only
allowed to consider if Ernst denied these particular facts and if so, when and where and
how. During our visit, one of Ernst’s attorneys, 84-year old Dr. Herbert Schaller[1],
read a lengthy and impassioned statement
saying that he believed in the same facts of
the Holocaust as does Ernst and by so stating this he too is guilty. He ended by saying
that in over 53 years of practicing law he had
until now never been guilty of the same crime
as the man he was charged to defend. The
head judge, Ulrich Meinerzhagen, appeared
tired, agitated, and ready to explode.
Visiting Ernst in prison
It is not easy to visit Ernst Zuendel. He is
allowed only two 30-minute visits per month,
one hour if the visitor travels more than 100
km. Though I wrote and faxed the prison a
dozen times beginning in February 2006, the
answer was always the same, no answer. But
through his wife, Ingrid, Ernst knew that a
colleague and I wished to visit him and he
asked the judge to grant us permission to do
so. Finally on September 23rd Judge
Meinerzhagen told Ernst to tell his wife to
tell me to fax him and formally request a visit.
We were to each include a copy of our
résumés and a copy of our passports.
Another month passed before we received
the visitation permission. Once we had that
document, stamped and signed by the judge,
we were able to make an appointment at the
prison in Mannheim. On arrival the guards
filled out a long form on each of us. They
took our passports and had us put everything
else in a locker. Then we were searched,
warned against speaking English, and told to

cross the courtyard to the visitation rooms.
There we sat on one side of a table with a
plastic shield in the middle; they brought Ernst
from the other side and allowed him to sit
across from us while a guard sat at the end to
monitor both parties. We asked if it was permissible to shake hands and the guard smiled
and said that would be all right.
Ernst began by asking us to contact his
wife and tell her that he looked well and that
he missed her. He had not been in contact
with her for several weeks and he was worried that she would be worried about him.
Then he asked if my colleague’s family had
discouraged him from making this trip. My
friend understood what Ernst was asking, but
he was unable to answer in German, so I had
to tell Ernst that indeed pressure had been
put on us both not to have anything to do with
a Holocaust “denier.”
We asked Ernst about life in prison and
his relationship with guards and other prisoners. He described a typical day and told us
that he had only limited contact with other
prisoners, but that they were friendly towards
him. So too were the guards, especially because he followed the rules and was a threat
to no one. He often asked the man monitoring our visit to corroborate what he was saying, almost as if to include him in the conversation. He talked about history and philosophy and about recent books he had read. He
praised the prison library, which he said,” was
markedly better than the one in the US jail in
Tennessee, which had “only Tom Clancy novels and one old book on the US Presidents.”
I had been forced to leave my notes outside and though I had many questions, I was
not allowed to ask him anything about the
trial, not even the names of his attorneys. The
hour passed quickly and the guard soon told
us we would have to go. When we stood we
looked questioningly at the guard and he nodded to us. We shook hands with Ernst, slowly,
he taking each of our hands in both of his.
They were big, soft, and warm; although Ernst
is only six years older than I, he reminded me
of my father saying goodbye when we last
parted.
Holocaust Denial
Contrary to the warning given to people
who currently tour Auschwitz, “Holocaust
denial” is not infectious. In many ways the
term is used as an epithet to discredit and
demean those who question facts surrounding the Holocaust. Nor is Holocaust denial
anti-Semitic; there are many Jews who question facts about the Holocaust and many more
who object to its being used to elevate Jewish suffering above that of others.[2] Treating those who question the Holocaust as heretics reveals the degree to which the Holocaust itself has become a religion, a faith to
be accepted and worshiped with spectacular
memorials, best-selling books, and manda575-423-3250
tory curricula for school children.
Ernst believes that Jewish groups have
wanted him jailed for promoting views that
the Jewish-Zionist lobby considers harmful
to its interests. He claims that the only sustained and institutionalized efforts to imprison him have come from this lobby, which
includes the Simon Wiesenthal Center, the
Canadian Jewish Congress, the Canadian Holocaust Remembrance Association, and the
League for Human Rights of B’nai B’rith
(with the Anti-Defamation League, its counterpart in the US). It is noteworthy that even
the ACLU refused to defend his right of free
speech.[3]
Ernst Zuendel is neither a monster nor a
heretic. He is a man with strong convictions
and the courage to express them. He views
himself not as a Holocaust “denier,” but rather
as a Holocaust revisionist. For that he has been
rendered by the United States, which otherwise professes to protect the right of free
speech and the writ of habeas corpus, and by
Canada, both countries in which he broke no
law. To force him back to his birth country to
be tried for a “crime” which he never committed in Germany is unjust. Those who
would incarcerate revisionists like Ernst
Zuendel and hold them, without bail, for years
on end to drain them of their resources and to
silence them as “Prisoners of Zion” could well
be labeled as “justice deniers.”

'Climate Denial'
Scientists who questioned mankind's impact on climate change have received death
threats and claim to have been shunned by
the scientific community.
They say the debate on global warming
has been "hijacked" by a powerful alliance
of politicians, scientists and environmentalists who have stifled all questioning about

Timothy Ball, a former climatology professor at the University of Winnipeg in
Canada, has received five deaths threats by

mega-consultancy Booz, Allen, & Hamilton
(one that also works closely with DARPA).
Rabbi Zakheim is also Chief Executive

has serious tenure in the US defense establishment: more than 30 years of holding assorted senior positions at the Pentagon.]
Dov Zakheim is the co-author of that
singularly sinister—and chillingly ominous—statement contained in Rearming
America’s Defenses (RAD) re the plan for
American global domination [through galvanizing American emotional support for
full-scale war against oil-rich Arab states]:
“...the process of transformation, even if it
brings revolutionary change, is likely to be
a long one, absent some catastrophic and
catalyzing event—like a new Pearl Harbor”.
The PNAC document also expressly recommends the US should seize Iraq even if
Saddam Hussein were deposed through a
military coup. [So much for bringing “freedom and democracy” to the people of that
country.]
The good Rabbi’s involvement with
PNAC, his previous directorship of a corporation that manufactures remote control
flight systems, and his inability to document
how the Pentagon has spent TRILLIONS
of American taxpayers’ dollars suggests that
real investigations into the crimes of 9/11
and the US invasion of Afghanistan and Iraq
would put Mr. Zakheim near the top of the
witness list for interrogation and potential
prosecution.

within one foot of the runway centerline during landing.
The CTS/FTS remote-control system is
capable of controlling up to 8 airborne vehicles—including airliners—simultaneously
from ground-based or airborne (AWACS) positions.
[“Coincidence”: Operation Vigilant Guardian, one of five NORAD “war game exercises”
underway on the morning of
9/11 and
orchestrated by Dick Cheney, involved the
simulated hijacking of commercial airliners.
At one point during the exercises, while
the four “real” hijacked aircraft were airborne,
as many as TWENTY-TWO independent
radar blips representing “hijacked” aircraft were
simultaneously displayed on FAA radar screens
along the Eastern seaboard.
This, obviously, created total pandemonium. Air traffic controllers who had been advised beforehand by NORAD of the “simulated hijackings”, began frantically calling
NORAD to determine which of the twentytwo targets were “real” and which were “exercise.” All indications are that whatever it was
that happened to the four real “hijacked” airliners occurred during this purposefully orchestrated melee while the order was given for the
US Air Force to “stand down”.]
The CTS/FTS system (subsequently improved, tested and implemented by Raytheon)
allows specialist ground controllers to listen-in
on cockpit conversations on the target aircraft,
then take absolute control of its computerized
flight control system by remote means and
safely land the aircraft at any airport within
range.
In other words, this technology was designed to empower “law enforcement agencies”
to hijack hijackers.
[NB: The ground station technology for
CTS/FTS was developed by Raytheon under
an Air Force contract for the Joint Precision
Approach and Landings System (JPALS) program. A government-industry team accomplished the first precision approach/auto-land
by a civil aircraft using this system on August
25, 2001 at Holloman AFB, NM. A FedEx
Express 727-200 aircraft demonstrated hundred
percent system proficiency by executing six full
auto-lands using the JPALS ground station.]
“HOME RUN”
In partnership with Raytheon, System Planning Corporation also supplies CTS/FTS technology to commercial airplane manufacturers
for installation in airliners (Boeing: confirmed;
Airbus: undetermined, but highly probable
given the consortium’s connection to BAE, a
US military contractor.)
It has been reported that DARPA’s
codename for the CTS/FTS system was “Home
Run”. Former German Secretary of Defense
Andreas Von Buelow may have alluded to fore24
knowledge of Home Run technology in an
interview he gave the German daily
“Tagesspiegel” on January 13th, 2002:
“There is also the theory of one British
flight engineer: according to this, the steering of the planes was perhaps taken out of
the pilots’ hands, from outside. The Americans had developed a method in the 1970s,
whereby they could rescue hijacked planes
by intervening into the computer piloting
[automatic pilot system]. This theory says
this technique was abused in this case [9/
11]...”
Upon deeper scrutiny this may not appear quite so much a “theory” as might first
seem. It’s been reported that the German
national carrier Lufthansa, seriously concerned that one of its own aircraft might be
“rescued” by the Americans without its authority, had every one of its Home Runequipped Boeing aircraft stripped of the
American flight control computers. It’s reasonable to presume that Herr Von Buelow—
the Secretary of Defense and Minister of
Science and Technology at the time—would
have known all about this mammoth but secretive task (how very clever—and discreet—of Von Buelow to “drop” the information into the middle of an interview about
the 9/11 attacks). Lufthansa aircraft (and
possibly others) are now effectively impervious to Home Run take-overs, but that is
more than can be said for the American aircraft fleet.
In order to make Home Run truly effective, it had to be completely integrated with
all onboard systems, and this could only be
accomplished with a new aircraft design,
several of which were on the drawing boards
at that time. Under cover of extreme secrecy,
the multinationals and DARPA went ahead
on this basis and built “back doors” into the
new computerized flight control systems.
There were two very obvious hard requirements at this stage: 1) a primary control channel for use in taking over the flight
control system and flying the aircraft back
to an airfield of choice, and 2) a covert audio channel for monitoring flight deck conversations. Once the primary channel was
activated, all aircraft functions came under
direct ground (or AWACS) control, permanently removing the hijackers and pilots
from the control loop.
It needs mention that this was not a system designed to “undermine” the authority
of the flight crews, but rather, implemented
as a “doomsday” device in the event the hijackers began to shoot passengers or crew
members, possibly including the pilots.
Based on the reasonable assumption that
hijackers only carry a limited number of
rounds of ammunition, and many modern
airliners carry in excess of 300 passengers,
Home Run was envisaged as a system that

could be used to fly all the survivors to a
friendly airport for a safe landing.
System Activation
Activating the primary Home Run channel is reportedly fairly straightforward. A
transponder, as many readers know, is a combined radio transmitter and receiver which
operates automatically—in the case of 9/11,
relaying data between the four aircraft and
air traffic controllers on the ground. The
transmitted signals represent a unique “identity” for each aircraft, essential in crowded
airspace to avoid midair collisions—and
equally essential for Home Run controllers
trying to lock onto the correct aircraft.
Once the correct target aircraft is located
by radar, the Home Run duplex data bus
“piggy backs” the transponder channel and
assumes direct control from the ground. This
could explain why NONE of the four aircraft sent the special “I have been hijacked”
transponder code (7500), despite multiple
activation points for this distress transmission on all four aircraft—and despite being
flown by combat-hardened ex-fighter pilots.
Because the transponder frequency had
already been piggy-backed by Home Run,
transmission of the special hijack code was
rendered impossible. This was the first hard
proof that the target aircraft had been hijacked electronically from the ground, rather
than by Arab patsies toting box-cutters.
The Home Run listening device on the
flight deck utilizes the cockpit microphones
that normally feed the Cockpit Voice Recorder (CVR), one of two black boxes armored to withstand heavy impact and
thereby later provide investigators significant clues to why the aircraft crashed. However, once plugged into Home Run, the
CVRs are bypassed, and voice transmissions
are no longer recorded on the 30 minute
continuous-loop recording tape.
If Home Run is active for more than
thirty minutes, there will therefore be no
audible data on the Cockpit Voice Recorders. Crash investigators are said to have recovered the CVRs from the Pentagon and
Pittsburg aircraft, and publicly confirmed
that both are completely blank. The only
possible reason for this is data capture by
Home Run, providing the final hard proof
that the attack aircraft were hijacked electronically from the ground, rather than by
“Arab terrorists”.
Discussion
It is not being suggested that remote circumvention and take-over of the four airliners’ controls is definitely what happened on
9/11. But if this scenario seems improbable,
one must necessarily consider the probability of four airliners being taken over simultaneously, casually flown around a large
swath of the country for almost two hours
under the vigilant eye of NORAD, and then

used as missiles—all without a single fighter being scrambled to
intercept any of them.
Since this is what actually happened, we have no choice but to
consider other “implausible” scenarios. And since the official scenario is itself an unsubstantiated—and truly farfetched—”conspiracy
theory,” competing scenarios should also receive serious attention.
The public’s reluctance to question official doctrine on this matter
is a symptom of the societal role for which most of us have been
bred and trained: to be ever-faithful hounds, tails thumping the floor
as we contentedly slurp the hand of class authority. Such credulity
also becomes inevitable when the alternative is so unbearable: if
someone in Bush’s position is capable of lying to us about something as huge, as gut-wrenchingly horrible as 9/11, then everything
we believe about this country—about the nature of civilization itself—might just be childish nonsense.
Most people simply don’t have the guts to go there. Given a
desperate enough need to sustain the childish belief in governmentas-benevolent-father, a person will adapt that belief to any circumstance. The behavioral end result can resemble courage; indeed, we
are taught to regard it as the DEFINITION of courage. Actually, it’s
one of cowardice’s darkest moments. Even a casual examination of
Nazi Germany, where this phenomenon was rampant, will drive
this point home.
It’s almost funny, the way people readily see the threat of technological circumvention presented by Diebold’s electronic voting
machines, yet when the subject switches to Systems Planning
Corporation’s Flight Termination System, which is every bit as real,
and to the exactly parallel possibilities it represents vis-a-vis 9/11,
they suddenly retreat into profound and combative denial. It’s as if
a threshold has been crossed into a realm of possibilities too vile to
entertain, so they simply don’t. Never mind that this country’s operatives have been traveling the world, perpetrating similar horrors,
for all of the past century.
Rather than acknowledge the possibility of a unifying pattern,
Joe Sixpack would much rather ‘shoot the messenger.’ Every so
often, such people establish a new high-water mark for cowardice
and facultative stupidity, and the present is definitely one of those
times. After all, the official 9/11 scenario they cling to with such
desperate faith comes from only one source: the Western “intelligence community”—the most brazen, systematic, resourceful, and
interlocked association of habitual liars this world has ever seen.
As should have been made clear by any number of intelligence
scandals over the years, the credibility of this bunch goes past zero
into the negative: pending airtight proof, anything they say should
be reflexively deemed a lie. You may remember that the FBI also
provided the identities of “the 19 hijackers” within hours—information that soon also became quite suspect, especially considering
there was NOT ONE Arab name on any of the flight manifests
(miraculously, they even found paper passports that had survived
fireballs, Arabic flight manuals conveniently left in the trunks of
cars, etc., etc.)
At least seven of the hijackers are still alive in the Middle East—
a pretty good alibi, wouldn’t you say? Several of these ex-suspects
had their passports or other IDs stolen from them over the years,
and it’s entirely possible that all 19 hijackers had stolen identities,
meaning they could have come from anywhere—or been absent
altogether. Our media were pretty slack about acknowledging this
at the time, and since then have dropped this ball entirely. What’s
really amazing is that not one mainstream journalist has asked how
these 19 alleged hijackers boarded their aircraft when their names
were not on any of the passenger manifests. Rather than allow the
“intelligence community” to render every detail of our comprehension on this matter, we would be much wiser to carefully identify
and discard every assumption they hand us.

The Destruction of Joe McCarthy:
There are profound lessons for today's
White Americans in the saga of this misled hero.

Communist espionage agents out of our government is concerned. They must depend upon those of us whom they
send down here to man the watch-towers of the nation.
The thing that I think we must remember is that this is a
war, which a brutalitarian force has won to a greater
extent than any brutalitarian force has won a war in the
history of the world before.
"You can talk about Communism as though it's something ten thousand miles away. Let me say it's right here
with us now. Unless we make sure that there is no infiltration of our government, then just as certain as you sit there,
in the period of our lives you will see a Red world.
"Anyone who has followed the Communist conspiracy,
even remotely, and can add two and two, will tell you that
there is no remote possibility of this war which we are in
today--and it's a war, a war which we've been losing--no
remote possibility of this ending except by victory or by
death for this civilization."
THOSE WORDS were spoken 40 years ago by U.S.
Senator Joseph Raymond McCarthy, Republican of
Wisconsin, a man who since has been demonized unjustly. Since McCarthy's time the subversion of our
nation has proceeded steadily, and his warning to us
resonates more and more clearly as truth, now that
death for this civilization is in view.
Joseph McCarthy's fame as an anti-Communist began with
a speech he delivered on February 9, 1950, to the Republican
Women's Club in Wheeling, West Virginia, in which he said that
there were at least 57 known Communists in the U.S. State De-

partment, and that the State Department knew they were there.
McCarthy's charge was credible, because President Harry
Truman's Secretary of State at the time, Dean Acheson (pictured,
on the Time cover below), was well known as a man sympathetic to Communism and Communists.
As far back as the
1930s Acheson had
worked as a lawyer on
behalf of Stalin's regime, prior to the diplomatic recognition of
the Soviet Union by the
United States, and recently he had ignored
reports about the Communist Party connections of his protege at
the State Department,
Alger Hiss. Acheson
also had been the chief
U.S. advisor at the
Yalta Conference, in
February 1945, which
consigned eastern Europe to Communist
rule, and he presided
over the drafting of the United Nations Charter. In the State
Department Acheson fostered the careers of Communists and
stifled the careers of anti-Communists.
Furthermore, as Ohio's Republican Senator Robert Taft
said at the time, "Pro-Communist policies of the State Department fully justify Joe McCarthy in his demand for an investigation." Communist infiltration of the U.S. government had
occurred on a grand scale during the reign of Franklin Roosevelt
(pictured). Congressman Martin Dies, Democrat of Texas and
chairman of the House Committee on Un-American Activities
from its inception in 1938 until 1945, had warned Roosevelt in
1940 that there were thousands of Communists and pro-Communists on the government payroll, but FDR refused to take action, saying:
“I do not believe in
Communism any more
than you do, but there
is nothing wrong with
the Communists in this
country. Several of the
best friends I have are
Communists. . . . I do
not regard the Communists as any present or
future threat to our
country; in fact, I look
upon Russia as our
strongest ally in the
years to come. As I told
you when you began
your investigation, you
should confine yourself
to Nazis and Fascists.
While I do not believe
in Communism, Russia is
far better off and the
world is safer under Com26
munism than under the Czars.”
Under the circumstances, McCarthy's charge that there were
57 known Communists in the State Department seems very modest.
McCarthy had been a maverick from the beginning. In 1949
he had dared champion the cause of German prisoners of war
held in connection with the alleged "Malmédy massacre." In
truth, what had happened near the Belgian town of Malmédy in
December 1944 was unclear at the time, part of what U.S. General Thomas T. Handy, who in 1949 was the commander in chief
of U.S. forces in Europe, called "a confused, mobile, and desperate combat action." It is known now that a number of American soldiers who had surrendered there to the Germans were
shortly thereafter killed in cross fire when their captors, who
were marching them to a rear area, were engaged by other U.S.
units. When their bodies were found by U.S. forces afterward
with their hands tied behind their backs, however, it appeared
that they might have been deliberately killed.
After the war, Germans who had taken part in the fighting
at Malmédy were turned over to U.S. Army Colonel A.H.
Rosenfeld and his Jewish underlings for "interrogation." The
prisoners were arbitrarily reduced to civilian status so that they
would not be protected by the Geneva Convention, and brutal
torture was used to extract confessions. When 18-year-old prisoner Arvid Freimuth hanged himself after repeated beatings
rather than sign a "confession," the prosecutors were permitted
to use as "evidence" the unsigned statement which they themselves had contrived.
McCarthy dared to speak against this officially sanctioned
lynching, when almost no one else had the courage to do so. By
fearlessly championing the underdogs, the defeated and vilified
Germans, and speaking out against the actual atrocities committed by self-righteous aliens in American uniform, the Senator
demonstrated the rare moral courage that later propelled him
into the forefront of the struggle against Communism.
The Senate Judiciary Committee, chaired by Senator
Raymond Baldwin, Republican of Connecticut, was assigned to
investigate the charges of torture, but whitewashed them instead.
On July 26, 1949, Senator McCarthy withdrew in disgust from
the hearings and announced in a speech on the Senate floor that
two members of the Committee, Senator Baldwin and Senator
Estes Kefauver,
Democrat of
Tennessee, had
law partners
among
the
Army interrogators they were
supposedly investigating.
This was in several ways a preview of things
to come.
The Jews

ing their big guns in the media against McCarthy: a December
1949 poll of news correspondents covering the United States
Senate already had reporters branding McCarthy "the worst Senator" -- a high honor indeed.
When McCarthy had arrived in Washington as a freshman
Senator in 1946, he had been invited to lunch by Secretary of
the Navy James Forrestal (pictured, below). McCarthy writes:,
“Before meeting Jim Forrestal I thought we were losing to
international Communism because of incompetence and stupidity on the part of our planners. I mentioned that to Forrestal. I
shall forever remember his answer. He said, "McCarthy, consistency has never been a mark of stupidity. If they were merely
stupid they would occasionally make a mistake in our favor."
This phrase struck me so forcefully that I have often used it
since.” (Which may explain why Forrestal was thrown from the
upper floors of the hospital in Washington)
Considering the destructive policies that thrived in Washington, McCarthy concluded that to fight Communism effectively it was not enough to denounce Communism in general;
anyone -- even a Communist -- could claim to oppose Communism. The Senator decided that it was necessary to identify those
responsible for treasonous policies and then accuse them on the
basis of what they actually had done, not on the basis of the
ideas to which they paid lip service.
A special investigating subcommittee chaired by Senator
Millard Tydings, Democrat of Maryland, was set up purportedly
to investigate McCarthy's claim that Communists and pro-Communists were being harbored in the State Department. In reality,
as Tydings himself admitted, the purpose was to silence
McCarthy. Tydings boasted, "Let me have McCarthy for three
days in public hearings, and he will never show his face in the
Senate again." Tydings' effort to discredit the upstart patriot
would be heavily aided by the major media.
One of the reporters present at the hearings was Elmer Davis,
a prominent radio commentator who had been head of the Office of War Information (OWI). McCarthy noted:
Many of
the [principals in the] cases I was about to present had once
been employees in the OWI under Davis and then had moved
into the State Department. As I glanced at Davis, I recalled that
Stanislaw Mikolajczyk, one of the anti-Communist leaders of
Poland, had warned the State Department, while Davis was head,
how Pearson would cover the story. . . .
As I waited for the chairman to open the hearing I, of course,
knew the left-wing elements of the press would twist and distort
the story to protect every Communist whom I exposed, but
frankly I had no conception of how far the dishonest news covNo

erage would go.
In the case of Owen Lattimore, the testimony of McCarthy's
chief witness, ex-Communist Louis Budenz, was widely misrepresented. Lattimore was a scholar on Far Eastern affairs employed by the State Department as a consultant; he had advised
the State Department that Chinese Communist leader Mao TseTung was merely "a liberal agrarian reformer" at a time when
Washington was still unsure how to react to Mao's efforts to
overthrow the Chinese government. In McCarthy's words:
[Budenz] . . . testified that . . . [Lattimore], who had been employed by the government, consulted for years by State Department officials on Far Eastern policy, and looked to by newspapermen and magazine editors for news on Far Eastern trends,
had been a member of the Communist Party. Many newspapers
and wire services so twisted Budenz's testimony about Lattimore,
however, that it was not clear to most Americans that Lattimore
had indeed been identified positively as a Communist.
One honest reporter, Dave McConnell of the New York Heald
Tribune, wrote in the May 16, 1950, edition of his now defunct
paper that "you have to use a sieve to strain out the bias in the
McCarthy stories published in many papers."
“Tail-gunner Joe," as McCarthy was nicknamed by the
press, was seen by many as a national hero. A Gallup poll taken
May 21, 1950, showed that among the general public he had
four supporters for every three detractors. In a later Gallup poll,
taken in January 1954, 50 per cent of the public viewed him
favorably, and 29 per cent viewed him unfavorably. McCarthy
(pictured, right) was the one man in Washington, D.C., who
bucked the bipartisan pressure to be polite to America's enemies
and to "get man who took anti-Communism seriously is willing
to do something about it.
At the time conservative writer Harold Lord Varney wrote
in the American Mercury:
“McCarthy is where he is today because he satisfies the deep
national hunger for an affirmative man. In a Washington of vacillating, irresolute, pressure-group-cowed politicians, he stands
out in sharp relief as a man sure of himself. His unshaken selfconfidence is shown by the opponents he has tackled: they have
been Marshall, Acheson, Tydings, Conant -- men in the full tide
of their authority. And he has never lost a major Washington
fight. . . .
He sometimes gets too far out in front of public opinion, but
so far public opinion has always followed him. . . . Because
McCarthy has been willing to act as the shock absorber of the
main stream of pro-Communist abuse, the careers of all [other]
anti-Communists have been made easier. . . .
One far-reaching consequence of [McCarthy's fight] has been
its impact upon the American world of ideas. The climate of
American public discussion has been amazingly
cleared

. . The long
grip on the
nation's communications
media exercised by the
literary Reds
and Pinkos
has been broken. .”

from today's popular conception, which was molded by the controlled media. Little is said of McCarthy's popularity, which even
Eisenhower dared not challenge directly. Instead, we are led to
believe that McCarthy was a brutal tyrant who somehow managed to run roughshod over everyone's civil liberties and give
the entire country a very bad case of claustrophobia for several
years, all of this as chairman of a Senate subcommittee.
Make no mistake about it, McCarthy did cause considerable
discomfort to some people: to the alien subversives and traitors
whose ultimate goal was and still is the New World Order. It
was these people who, in their effort to silence McCarthy, ironically characterized him as an enemy of free speech. The First
Amendment, of course, had been drafted precisely to protect
men like McCarthy, who dared to identify treason in high places.
There were undoubtedly, however, some sincere, patriotic
Americans who agreed with McCarthy's aim of removing Communists from government, but who found his method, with all
of its sensationalism and public-relations gimmickry, distasteful. McCarthy's method was, as he himself explained, a last resort:
“I have followed the method of publicly exposing the truth
about men who, because of incompetence or treason, were betraying this nation. Another method would be to take the evidence to the President and ask him to discharge those who were
serving the Communist cause. A third method would be to give
the facts to the proper Senate committee which had the power to
hire investigators and subpoena witnesses and records. The second and third methods . . . were tried without success. . . . The
only method left to me was to present the truth to the American
people. This I did.”
People who criticized McCarthy's public accusations merely
as being in poor taste clearly did not appreciate the gravity of
the situation and the necessity for taking action. Also it should
be noted that McCarthy had not wanted to read his original list
of 57 subversives publicly, but the Tydings Committee required
it of him. According to the Congressional Record of Feb 20,
1950, p. 2049, McCarthy protested on the Senate floor:
“I think . . . it would be improper to make the names public
until the appropriate Senate Committee can meet in executive
session and get them. . .It might leave a wrong impression.”
Unfortunately, "the wrong impression" was exactly what the
Tydings Committee wished to promote. In other words, contrary to the reputation for "recklessness" that was applied to him,
McCarthy exercised his First Amendment right with great care.
Like some resurrected Paul Revere or latter-day Cicero, it was
he who sounded the alarm, who let the American people know
that their government had been subverted by alien interests; and
it was the shadow government of "globalists" who wished to
silence him, so that their power and their pernicious influence
would remain hidden from the American people. International
Communism and international finance -- the twin thrusts of Jewish power -- were both ill-served by the attention McCarthy drew
to the issues of loyalty and subversion. In the 1952 elections the
Republicans captured both houses of Congress and the Presidency, largely due to McCarthy's influence. McCarthy became
chairman of the Senate's Government Operations Committee and
its Subcommittee on Investigations. The new President, however, was a pet of the New World Order clique, and he would
succeed where Truman had failed in discrediting McCarthy.
In the discrediting of McCarthy, there is no doubt that there
was a conspiracy at work. We know this because men who were
privy to the conspiracy later wrote books about it. The activities
of the conspirators were, of course, necessarily subtle;
Eisenhower (pictured, left) himself studiously avoided even mentioning McCarthy's name in public, and the media coverage was

almost unbelievably biased. Thus, for the general public, the
arrangements which brought down McCarthy were a mystery,
though in essence they were very simple: McCarthy was maneuvered into an awkward position, the major media portrayed
him as unfavorably as possible, and his colleagues deserted him.
McCarthy's reputation was destroyed chiefly by the feud that
two staffers on his Subcommittee on Investigations, Roy Cohn
and G. David Schine, conducted against the United States Army,
contrary to McCarthy's wishes.
Under pressure from influential Jewish columnist George
Sokolsky and the Jewish president of the Hearst Corporation,
Richard Berlin, both purported anti-Communists, McCarthy announced on January 2, 1953, that 26-year-old Roy Cohn (pictured below and to right) would be the chief counsel of the
Investigations Subcommittee. Cohn, the son of New York Supreme Court Judge Albert Cohn, had been well served by his
Jewish connections in the past, having been hired as an assistant
U.S. attorney immediately after passing the New York bar Examination. Cohn himself later admitted that he was hired by
McCarthy primarily because he was a Jew:
There was a growing slander abroad in the land . that
McCarthy was a Jew-hater . . . and he wanted to deflect it. I was
the obvious answer, and the alternative -- [Robert Kennedy,] the
son of the well-known, well-documented anti-Semite Joseph P.
Kennedy, the former pro-Hitler ambassador to the Court of St.
James -- was the last person McCarthy needed to head his committee.
It probably need not be stressed that the Jews themselves
were the source of this "slander" that McCarthy felt obliged to
counter. Thus, McCarthy was stuck with Cohn; privately he expressed the fear that if Cohn resigned for any reason the charge
of "anti-Semitism" immediately would be raised against him
again.
Furthermore, with most of the news media already solidly
against him, McCarthy was desperate for some favorable press
coverage. Illinois Republican Senator Everett Dirksen commented, "Cohn was put on the Committee by the Hearst press,
and Joe doesn't dare lose that support."
Cohn, who died of AIDS in 1986, was a homosexual, and
rumor of the perversion became widespread after Cohn had
brought another young Jew, G. David Schine, onto McCarthy's
staff. According to Cohn himself in his autobiography, Cohn
and Schine were then rumored to be "Jack and Jill." This rumor
was undoubtedly a great embarrassment to McCarthy, since the
controlled media had not yet succeeded in making homosexuality fashionable, and homosexuals were among the security risks
to be investigated.
At Cohn's insistence, Schine was accepted as an unpaid
"chief consultant" on Communism. Schine's credentials for this
position were that he had authored a pamphlet, Definition of
Communism, which his wealthy parents had allowed him to distribute in their hotel chain. This pamphlet gave incorrect dates
for the Russian Revolution and the founding of the Communist
Party, confused Marx with Lenin, Stalin with Trotsky, and
Kerensky with Prince Lvov, and got Lenin's name wrong. The
Jewish millionaire-playboy was thus highly qualified, in Cohn's
view, to be a consultant.
McCarthy hoped that he could save himself from accusations of "anti-Semitism" with Roy Cohn, and if necessary, with
Dave Schine. But the day McCarthy accepted these two Jews as
his assistants was the day his downfall really began.
As the son of a Jewish multi-millionaire, Schine had avoided
the draft for the Korean War by getting himself classified 4-F.
As soon as he became a staff member of McCarthy's committee,
however, at the instigation of left-wing journalist Drew Pearson

drafted him. Thus, the stage
was set for Roy Cohn to involve McCarthy in a dispute with the United States
Army.
It is clear that
McCarthy was dragged into
this dispute against his will.
Army lawyer John Adams
relates: “Senator McCarthy
spoke out quite freely about
his irritation over Schine.
He told me that the individual is of absolutely no
help to the committee, was
interested in nothing but the
photographers and getting
his picture in the papers,
and that things had reached
the point where he was a
complete pest. McCarthy
stated to me quite emphatically that he was anxious to see this
individual drafted, and . . . he hoped . . . we would send him as
far away as possible "to get him out of [his] hair." . . . "Send
him wherever you can, as far away as possible. Korea is too
close."
Cohn raised hell with the Army, first threatening revenge for
the drafting of Schine, then agitating for special treatment for
his putative boyfriend. John Adams stated in a January 21, 1954,
meeting in Attorney General Herbert Brownell's office that demands for the names of Army loyalty-board members usually
were preceded by flare-ups over the reassignment of Schine.
McCarthy was not happy about this behavior, and he privately
complained that Cohn was indeed carrying out a vendetta against
the Army on account of Schine.
McCarthy had instructed Adams on December 17, 1953,
that, having learned the extent of the interference Cohn and
Schine were causing for the commanding general of Fort ix, he
wished the Army to discontinue all special treatment for Schine.
Subsequently, the alleged anti-Communist Jew, columnist George
Sokolsky, contacted Adams repeatedly, continuing to urge special treatment for Schine. On February 12, 1954, Sokolsky went
so far as to tell Adams that he, Sokolsky, would "get them to
drop all this stuff they are planning for the Army [i.e., McCarthy's
investigation of Communist subversion in the Army]," if a special assignment were arranged for Schine. It seemed that
Sokolsky was more concerned about the comfort and onvenience
of one fellow Jew than about the national security of the United
States -- or he was deliberately exacerbating the animosity between the Army and McCarthy.
Meanwhile, in late January 1954 a story in the New York
Post featured Fort Dix recruits complaining that Schine lived
among them like a visiting dignitary -- and Joseph McCarthy
was taking the blame.
Secretary of the Army Robert Stevens said that he was wary
about "discriminating against" Schine, because Schine was a Jew.
Likewise, McCarthy said that he was afraid to fire Cohn, "because [I] might be accused of being anti-Semitic." Here we have
the Secretary of the Army and the chairman of a Senate committee, both paralyzed by fear of being called "anti-Semitic," allowing 26-year-old Roy Cohn and the utterly inconsequential G.
David Schine to walk all over them.
It was not only the fact that McCarthy had felt the wrath of
the Jews when he had spoken out against the barbarous treatNo

ment of German prisoners five years earlier that made him wary
of offending them again. His investigations into Communist subversion were turning up a vastly disproportionate number of Jewish Communists, and he was afraid that the Jews would believe
he was hunting Jews rather than Communists.
By using the threat of investigation as a weapon to coerce
the Army into giving special treatment to his friend Schine, Cohn
had tainted the legitimacy of McCarthy's patriotic work. Cohn
was creating exactly the impression of reckless disregard for
fairness and propriety that McCarthy had wished to avoid.
McCarthy had apparently hoped that the alleged anti-Communist Jews with whom he dealt were what they claimed to be.
With their involvement, however, all his efforts met with grief.
If the Senator had taken account of Jewish traits -- especially
their bent for deception, which goes far beyond anything encountered in the Gentile world -- then perhaps he would have
braved the charges of "anti-Semitism" rather than tolerate Jews
on his staff.
The anti-Communist credentials of Jewish columnist George
Sokolsky, for example, who had recommended Roy Cohn, were
invented rather late in life. In 1917, at the age of 24, Sokolsky
had gone to Russia with a large number of other Jews, filled
with ardor for the prospect of world Communism and hoping to
lend a hand to the Bolsheviks in fastening the Communist yoke
on the Russians. For a while he edited the English-language
Communist newspaper Daily News in Petrograd; then he left for
China to practice his journalistic skills on behalf of the revolutionary leader Sun Yat-sen, who was working to set up a Communist government in China and was receiving aid from the
Soviets. In 1931, claiming disillusionment with the methods of
Bolshevism, he returned to the United States, where he used
different methods.
As a right-wing columnist for the Hearst newspapers,
Sokolsky was well-placed to accomplish much for the Jewish
obsession with the New World Order by misdirecting the antiCommunist movement into blind alleys, false hopes, and confusion -- and away from the truth. Considering these facts, are we
justified in believing his claim that he had completely changed
his ideals and in the 1950s was fervently against what he had
been fervently for earlier in Russia and china? A clue may be
provided by Sokolsky's 1935 book, We Jews, in which he lamented the fact that Jews are not even more cohesive than they
are. Certainly, no race-conscious Jew could have genuinely supported McCarthy's efforts to root Communists out of positions
of influence in American life, since he would have understood
that exposing Communism meant exposing Jews.
Similarly, Roy Cohn, who called Sokolsky his "rabbi," was
another member of the far left who claimed a miraculous conversion: as late as 1949 he was openly calling anti-Communism a "witch-hunt" and said that Alger Hiss was a victim of a
"right-wing conspiracy." Given the legendary cohesiveness of
the Jewish people and the Jewishness of Communism, one is
justified in viewing these overnight conversions with suspicion.
There is more than Roy Cohn's youthful attachment to leftist causes to make us suspicious of his motives: his father Albert
Cohn had been the first judge appointed by Franklin Roosevelt
after the latter became governor of New York. Thus, the Cohns
were firmly attached to the very clique that had fostered what
McCarthy called "twenty years of treason."
It looks very much as if McCarthy, who wished so much to
avoid crossing the Jews, allowed himself to be swindled in the
age-old game of Good Jew/Bad Jew.
The man whom Eisenhower had appointed Secretary of the
Army, Robert Stevens, head of the J.P. Stevens textiles business, was staunchly anti-Communist, having witnessed the per-

nicious influence of Communists in exacerbating labor disputes.
Stevens was even distrustful of New Deal supporters. He was
thus appointed not as a member of the New World Order clique
around Ike, but merely as a valuable (if misguided) Republican
booster. Stevens had apparently taken Eisenhower's anti-Communist campaign rhetoric at face value.
Upon assuming office in February 1953, Stevens requested
a briefing on the Army's Loyalty and Security Program: "The
presentation should set forth what steps are to be taken to prevent disloyal and subversive persons from infiltrating the Army,
and what steps have been taken to discover and remove such
persons who may have found their way into the Army Establishment." So concerned was Stevens about combatting subversion
that he asked advice from J. Edgar Hoover, director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Finally, when Stevens heard that
McCarthy was concerned about security risks in the Army, he
rushed a telegram to him, offering his assistance in the investigation.
McCarthy's staff announced on September 10, 1953, that
there was very serious evidence of espionage at Fort Monmouth.
The evidence was an extract of a report from J. Edgar Hoover
to the head of Army Intelligence. The document mentioned 35
Fort Monmouth employees as security risks, most of them Jews
of Russian origin who had been in contact with the atom-bomb
spies, Julius and Ethel Rosenberg. Stevens instructed the commanding general at Fort Monmouth: "Cooperate! See to it that
they interview anyone they wish to."
During the investigation at Fort Monmouth, however, attention was diverted to nearby Camp Kilmer. This was the case of
the Jewish Communist Irving Peress. Peress, an Army dentist
who was proved to be not only a member but an organizer of
Communist groups, had sworn a false oath upon receiving his
officer's commission. Worse, when the matter was exposed Peress
was promoted and later given an honorable discharge, thus escaping the jeopardy of a court-martial. The Peress case was a
tremendous embarrassment to the Army, because it showed that
security in the Army was a mere formality which was easily circumvented.
McCarthy's confidential informant on the Peress case was
General Ralph Zwicker. A hearing in New York City was arranged, and General Zwicker was called to testify as to the identity of the Pentagon official who had ordered Peress' honorable
discharge. On the very morning of the hearing, however, Zwicker
received an order from John Adams not to reveal the official's
name. McCarthy did all he could to persuade Zwicker to talk in
spite of the order, but he failed.
Thereafter the press made a great fuss over McCarthy's rough
treatment of Zwicker and the "insult to the uniform." It was
alleged that McCarthy had without cause accused Zwicker of
shielding subversives. Secretary Stevens decided not to allow
General Zwicker or other Army officers to testify further. Says
William Ewald, a Department of Defense official at the time: "A
cheer went up: from anti-McCarthyites within the Administration itself, from editorial writers far and wide, from liberals
coast to coast." Especially noteworthy was a telephone call to
Stevens from Marshall Plan administrator Paul Hoffman in California -- at whose residence Eisenhower was then vacationing.
This congratulation was inferred to represent the attitude of that
champion McCarthy-hater, President Ike.
Eisenhower's friend Hoffman was married to Anna
Rosenberg, who had been Truman's Jewish Assistant Secretary
of Defense in 1950 and had been diligent in promoting liberal
rograms in the Army and the other armed services. She, more
than anyone else, had forced full racial integration on the services.

Unlike Ike, however, Secretary Stevens was not an implacable foe of McCarthy and anti-Communism. Although he
thought Roy Cohn was awful, he said he saw McCarthy as a
"reasonable" man. In a conference with the majority members
of McCarthy's subcommittee, an agreement was reached and
Stevens signed a document that stated this accord. The antiMcCarthy interpretation of this event has been that Secretary
Stevens did not understand what he was doing. More likely,
Stevens did not understand what Eisenhower was doing. Nor
did the American people understand!
Stevens said of the media's explosively hostile reaction to
his reconciliation with McCarthy, "I think I have been absolutely
crucified. . . ." Furthermore, he showed naiveté by saying that
he thought the press had "misunderstood" the agreement.
Eisenhower decided to have Secretary Stevens "admit an administrative error" and renege on the agreement. A repudiation
of Stevens' agreement with McCarthy was composed, and
Stevens was made to read it publicly. Meanwhile, President
Eisenhower's staff, without Stevens' knowledge, had instructed
Stevens' subordinate John Adams to compile a written record of
Cohn's and Schine's behavior. Adams, a holdover from the
Truman administration, apparently was considered more politically reliable than the conservative Stevens. On March 8, 1954,
when Secretary Stevens was asked about the record of improper
pressure by Cohn and Schine (which John Adams had leaked to
the press a few days earlier) he said, "I personally think that
anything in that line would prove to be very much exaggerated.
. . . I am the Secretary, and I have had some talks with the committee and the chairman . . . and by and large as far as the treatment of me is concerned, I have no personal complaints . . . ."
On March 10, although Stevens had not even been aware
of the Schine chronology two days earlier, he was pressured
into approving a version heavily "revised" by Defense Department attorney Struve Hensel. It was called the "Stevens-Adams
chronology," although Stevens had only just learned of it. Under pressure, the Secretary of the Army was now lending his
name to a document that he had said would be "very much exaggerated."
In late April 1954 the Army-McCarthy hearings began. The
Army had accused McCarthy and Roy Cohn of using improper
pressure, evidence of this being the so-called "Stevens-Adams
chronology." McCarthy counter-charged that the Army was trying to discredit his committee and stop its investigation of the
Army.
During the hearings Stevens was the Army's "star witness."
He "stonewalled" the subcommittee, giving vague, unresponsive, and often self-contradictory testimony. It became clear to
McCarthy that Stevens was acting under orders from
Eisenhower's staff. The Army's case, however, already had been
blown sky-high, and McCarthy essentially vindicated, when
Senator Everett Dirksen, a member of the McCarthy Subcommittee, testified that the Army's counsel John Adams and
Eisenhower's administrative assistant Gerald Morgan had approached him on January 22, 1954, seeking to stifle part of
McCarthy's investigation of the Army. Dirksen testified that
Adams had mentioned the Army's file on Cohn and Schine, dropping a "hint" That these files might be very damaging if they
were "issued and ventilated on the front pages" of newspapers.
At this point, John Adams, not wishing to be the lone scapegoat for Eisenhower, and, furthermore, living under the possibility of a prosecution for perjury, revealed that he had been told
to compile the chronology on Cohn and Schine by members of
Eisenhower's staff in a secret meeting in the Attorney General's
office the day before approaching Dirksen.
The White House was now clearly implicated in a conspiracy

to shield subversion in the government. On May 17 Eisenhower,
in an obvious attempt to prevent his own role from being investigated further, issued what became known as the "iron curtain"
order. Eisenhower claimed that it was a Constitutional principle
that the President could forbid his subordinates from revealing
any information to the Congress.
On May 27, after several
more days of vague, unresponsive, and sometimes conflicting
testimony from Stevens, McCarthy responded in exasperation
to Eisenhower's gag order: "The oath which every person in this
government takes, to protect and defend the country against all
enemies, foreign and domestic, that oath towers far above any
presidential security directive." He urged federal employees to
come forward with any information they might have about corruption and subversion in government.
The next day Eisenhower had his press secretary convey to
the media a statement that likened McCarthy to Hitler: a comparison that was not meant to flatter McCarthy. Edward R.
Murrow and other media figures took their cue and began echoing that line.
McCarthy, however, was expressing essentially the same idea
which Theodore Roosevelt had expressed half a century earlier,
when the latter said: “It is patriotic to support [the President]
insofar as he efficiently serves the country. It is unpatriotic not
to oppose him to the exact extent that by inefficiency or otherwise he fails in his duty to stand by the country. . In any event,
it is unpatriotic not to tell the truth--whether about the President
or anyone else.
And of course, the truth was exactly what Ike feared.
Was this not the Eisenhower who had carried out Operation
Keelhaul after the Second World War, in which Anti-Communist Russians, Hungarians, and others were forcibly repatriated
to a certain death under Communism? Was this not the
Eisenhower who deliberately starved to death over a million
German prisoners of war? And was this not the same Eisenhower
who later sent paratroopers into Little Rock to enforce racial
integration with bayonets?
Regardless of the legal result, biased media coverage made
the Army-McCarthy hearings a propaganda victory for the proCommunists. Army counsel Joseph Welch (pictured, right),
through hyperbole and histrionics, managed to convince a large
portion of the public that a few peripheral issues he raised during the hearings were serious embarrassments to McCarthy.
For example, Welch insisted for the television cameras that
part of an FBI report listing subversives at Fort Monmouth was
"a carbon copy of precisely nothing" and "a perfect phoney,"
even though FBI Director Hoover said that he had written it.
Similarly, Welch dramatically accused McCarthy of introducing
a "doctored" photograph into evidence: it was a quite genuine
photograph, which merely had been cropped and enlarged for
the sake of clarity. The media played up Welch's accusations
and ignored McCarthy's explanations.
Welch was much more an actor than a lawyer: later, in 1959,
he starred in a major Hollywood production, Anatomy of a
Murder, alongside Jimmy Stewart and Lee Remick. In any event,
during the Army-McCarthy hearings the Senate hearing room
was his stage, and he played his role to the hilt. When McCarthy
pointed out that a member of Welch's own law firm, Fred Fischer,
had been a member of the National Lawyers' Guild, an organization cited as a Communist front by the Attorney General, Welch
waxed maudlin and sobbed the famous line, "Have you no
sense of decency at long last?" Later, outside the hearing room,
Welch wept again for the benefit of the news photographers.*
As reported by the media, Welch was a man of great humanity who was shocked that McCarthy would be so ignoble as to
attempt to ruin Fischer's career with his accusation,

McCarthy was a heel for even raising the matter. The fact that
McCarthy's charge was perfectly accurate seemed to make no
difference at all to the media.
And so it was with other episodes in the hearings. One contemporary observer, Harold Varney, noted in the American Mercury: “Unfortunately, the anti-McCarthy press was not honest
enough to admit publicly that the Senator had been vindicated.
The smearers continued to parrot the smears, just as if the disproof were not before the country.
The masters of the controlled media were determined to "get"
McCarthy, and they did. They had not directed as much hatred
on any public figure since Adolf Hitler.
By September many of his supporters in the Congress, ever
sensitive to the direction of the political wind, had thrown in
the towel. McCarthy's Senate colleagues stripped him of his
committee chair in November. On December 2, 1954, the Senate voted 67-22 to condemn him for "conduct contrary to Senatorial traditions." The condemnation permanently ended his effectiveness as a legislator.
(*footnote: Many believe that Welch set up McCarthy through
his breaking of a pre-hearing agreement and threatening to expose Cohn and Schine as homosexuals. According to writer Brian
Burns:, The quote, "Have you no sense of decency, sir, at long
last? Have you left no sense of decency?" was asked of the notorious Senator Joe McCarthy by Attorney Joseph Welch at the
climactic moment of the Army-McCarthy Hearings, a 55-day
spectacle that riveted the attention of the nation in the spring of
1954. A grandfatherly, bespectacled man with a fondness for
neckties, Walpole's Welch was the lead counsel for the Army
during the hearings, which aired live on the ABC and DuMont
networks.
Welch's memorable excoriation of McCarthy came as the bullet point of a tearful and impassioned speech in which he blasted
McCarthy for his "cruelty and recklessness." It was a moment
that would forever alter the lives of both men... Welch, an
attorney at the Boston law firm of Hale and Dorr, was hired to
represent the Army.... The penultimate confrontation with the
Wisconsin senator came on June 9, while Welch was needling
Cohn in cross examination about the contention that there were
130 known Communists working in Army labs throughout the
country.
After stewing for a while in the background, McCarthy finally interjects after Welch playfully asks Cohn why he doesn't
just have the FBI get all of the Communists out of the Army by
sundown. McCarthy tells Welch that one of his co-workers at
Hale and Dorr, "a young man named Fischer," had belonged for
three or four years to the National Lawyers Guild, an organization that was named "years and years" ago as the legal bulwark
of the Communist party.
Since Welch was so interested in ferreting out Communists,
he should be made aware of the fact that Fischer was a member
of his own firm, McCarthy said. Welch's response was brutally
effective. Welch: 'Until this moment, Senator, I think I never
really gauged your cruelty or your recklessness. Fred Fischer is
a young man who went to the Harvard Law School and came
into my firm and is starting what looks to be a brilliant career
with us. When I decided to work for this committee, I asked Jim
St. Clair, who sits on my right, to be my first assistant. I said to
Jim, "Pick somebody in the firm to work under you that you
would like." He chose Fred Fischer, and they came down on an
afternoon plane.
That night, when we had taken a little stab at trying to see
what the case
was about, Fred Fisher and Jim St. Clair and
I went to dinner together. I then said to these two young men,
"Boys, I don't know anything about you, except I've always

Each Liberty Village will be located in a rural setting, a minimum of thirty miles from the nearest town.
They will begin on old, small ranches and farms in scenic parts of the inland America, and will accommodate
travelers, tourists and hunters.
Each village will consist of a minimum of fifteen

Maybe a half dozen of the larger structures will be occupied by permanent residents. A small grounds fee
would go to cover the costs of the land. Spaces would
be available to RVs and each “Village” would have a
restaurant and coffee shop.
A bunkhouse would house homeless Veterans and
other economically distressed individuals and families.
The villages, with their mixture of animals, young
couples with children, their affordability, and emphasis on community, will prove attractive to older folks
looking for a homey atmosphere to retire to. By using
ranches and existing farms we preserve the knowledge
of how to produce and care for the food supply. We
would take a giant step forward to restoring the basis
of all successful civilizations, which author Richard
Kelly Hoskins calls, “The Self-Sufficient Family Farm”

liked you, but if there's anything funny in the life of either one
of you that would hurt anybody in this case, you speak up quick."
' And Fred Fisher said, "Mr. Welch, when I was in the law
school, and for a period of months after, I belonged to the Lawyers Guild," as you have suggested, Senator. 'He went on to say,
"I am Secretary of the Young Republican's League in Newton
with the son of [the] Massachusetts governor, and I have the
respect and admiration of my community, and I'm sure I have
the respect and admiration of the twenty-five lawyers or so in
Hale & Dorr."
“And I said, "Fred I just don't think I'm going to ask you to
work on the case. If I do, one of these days that will come out,
and go over national television and it will just hurt like the
dickens." And so, Senator, I asked him to go back to Boston.
Little did I dream you could be so reckless and so cruel as to do
an injury to that lad...It is, I regret to say, equally true that I fear
he shall always bear a scar needlessly inflicted by you. If it
were in my power to forgive you for your reckless cruelty, I
would do so.
'I like to think I'm a gentle man, but your forgiveness
will have to come from someone other than me.'
McCarthy: 'Mr. Chairman, may I say that Mr. Welch talks
about this being cruel and reckless. He was just baiting; he has
been baiting Mr. Cohn here for hours, requesting that Mr. Cohn
before sundown get out of any department of the government
anyone who is serving the Communist cause. Now, I just give
this man's record and I want to say, Mr. Welch, that it had been
labeled long before he became a member, as early as 1944.'
Welch: 'Senator, may we not drop this? We know he belonged to the Lawyers Guild. And Mr. Cohn nods his head at
me. I did you, I think, no personal injury, Mr. Cohn?'
Cohn: 'No, sir.'
Welch: 'I meant to do you no personal injury, and if I did, I
beg your pardon. Let us not assassinate this lad further, Senator.
You've done enough. Have you no sense of decency, sir, at long
last? Have you left no sense of decency?' Welch's stirring condemnation was the beginning of the end for McCarthy, who
would be censured by the Senate later that year.
Following his censure McCarthy returned home to Wisconsin, where he died of complications from alcoholism in 1957.
He was only 48.
Welch, on the other hand, found himself a national celebrity.
His exposure of McCarthy's bluster earned him high praise from
the media and various civic organizations and his stirring speech
secured him a permanent place in the annals of history.
While there is little question of the effectiveness of Welch's
condemnation, recent evidence has suggested that it may not
have been as spontaneous as it seemed to those who watched it
unfold live on the air.
A number of historians now believe that McCarthy may have
blundered his way into a carefully planned trap.
One of the strongest advocates of this theory is Nicholas von
Hoffman, who describes the encounter from Cohn's perspective in Citizen Cohn (The Life and Times of Roy Cohn.
Doubleday). Von Hoffman writes that despite the animosity
between the two parties, Welch and McCarthy agreed before
the trial that several areas would be off limits.
Welch agreed that he would not mention Cohn's
avoidance of the draft during World War II. In return,
McCarthy's camp agreed that they would not bring up
Fischer's membership in the Lawyer's Guild.
Von Hoffman and several other sources suggest
that the agreement also extended to Cohn's sexual orientation. Though he denied it to his dying day, Cohn was widely
known as a homosexual, especially to the Washington insid34
ers that packed the hearing
room each day.
According to several
sources, it is possible that
Welch had intentionally provoked McCarthy earlier in his
cross examination by showing
Cohn a picture that had been
doctored by the McCarthy
camp prior to being submitted
as evidence. After Cohn offers
no explanation for how the altered picture came to be,
Welch playfully asks him if it
might have been created by a
pixie. McCarthy angrily jumps
in. McCarthy: 'Will the counsel for my benefit define -- I think he might be an expert on that
-- what a pixie is?'
Welch: 'Yes, I should say, Senator, that a pixie is a close
relative of a fairy. Shall I proceed, sir? Have I enlightened you?'
At this point, according to sources, the room erupted
in laughter. It was a dig at Cohn's expense, but it wasn't a direct
violation of the agreement, a subtle point that may have been
lost on McCarthy.
Von Hoffman quotes from Michael Straight, who wrote about
the moment in the New Republic. "As law the comment was
improper; as humor it was unjust; as drama it was beyond anything that the theatre could conceive or reproduce."
Was this dig, and Welch's subsequent needling about
getting all the Communists out by sundown, designed to lure
McCarthy into making a foolish attack on Fischer? There seems
to be some legitimacy to this argument, especially when one
considers the way that McCarthy later reacts.
McCarthy: 'Mr. Chairman, may I say that Mr. Welch talks
about this being cruel and reckless. He was just baiting; he has
been baiting Mr. Cohn here for hours...'
Cohn, a talented if unscrupulous lawyer in his own right, is
smart enough not to respond to Welch's thrust and later tries to
dissuade McCarthy from pursuing his inquiry into Fischer,
though it is to no avail.
Welch: 'Senator, may we not drop this? We know he belonged to the Lawyers Guild. And Mr. Cohn nods his head at
me. I did you, I think, no personal injury, Mr. Cohn?'
Cohn: 'No, sir.'
Yet McCarthy insists on pursuing the issue, sealing his own
fate at the hands of Welch's eloquence.
Without asking Welch himself, it's difficult to know how
much of his speech was real and how much was part of a carefully designed plan. This anecdote recounted by von Hoffman
seems to suggest that it was a bit of both.
"Welch had tears in his eyes as he delivered the last line;
they were rolling down his cheeks as he left the center area; he
passed a young reporter named John Newhouse who had been
late and had to accept standing
room by the door.

FM, or internet as well as other sources that are available.
We can also assist those who know absolutely nothing
about producing a broadcast.
If you would like to become part of our broadcast team,

simply let us know what your intentions are. We have in
the past, and will again in the future be holding phone
conferences with other broadcasters across America.
These conferences most generally consist of people
already broadcasting in some fashion or another who
share their interest and knowledge with each other.
Imagine, if you will, people sharing ideas and technical advice all across the country. Imagine you are already
a broadcaster and that there are other broadcasters out
there with equipment you need, and they don’t, you can
help each other. Most people today are tired of listening
to the same old stuff all the time, you as a broadcaster
can give them something new, something different, something informative, wouldn’t that be a change!

Over 400 energetic and noisy patriots attended the American Freedom Riders’ September 8th benefit/fundraiser for Nacho
and Monica Ramos and their family. Guests came from around
the country, from as far away as Washington DC, to show their
support for Nacho and their absolute disdain for Bush’s “dear
friend” Johnny Satan, and to continue to voice their demand
that Ramos and Compean be released from prison. The generosity of the AFR and all their friends was astounding.
The event was described by some as “historic” in terms of the
number of various patriotic organizations which were represented. Roger Hedgecock is a dynamic speaker and the best host
we could ever have. The speakers were animated, informed, and
impressive. The band, Resonations, kept the crowd energized
long after the program was over. Monica Ramos felt like everyone there was part of her family. The diversity of the crowd was
a sight to behold, and emails have poured in saying “when are
you going to do it again?”
We will do it again, and again, and again, until Ramos and
Compean are released. We will continue to influence the self
serving, amnesty pushing politicians by every means possible to
release our friends, Ramos and Compean. Our strength and power
are growing.
Our government is accustomed to the voice of public displeasure losing its volume with the passing of time. They have
misjudged us on this issue. We will not go away this time and
we will never surrender in our fight to “FREE THE BORDER
PATROL” !!!!!

Roeder brought out a German edition in
Oberammergau, Germany. The book was
seized and the entire edition of 10,000 copies burned by government agents led by Dr.
Otto John.
The burning of the book was upheld
April 21, 1961 by judge Israel Katz of the
Bavarian Supreme Court.
The U.S. Government refused to intervene, because U.S. High Commissioner to
Germany, James B. Conant (president of
Harvard University 1933 to 1953), had approved the initial book burning order.
EZRA POUND by Eustace Mullins
Foreword
In 1949, while I was visiting Ezra Pound
who was a political prisoner at St. Elizabeth's
Hospital, Washington, D.C. (a Federal institution for the insane), Dr. Pound asked
me if I had ever heard of the Federal Reserve System. I replied that I had not, as of
the age of 25. He then showed me a ten dollar bill marked "Federal Reserve Note" and
asked me if I would do some research at the
Library of Congress on the Federal Reserve
System which had issued this bill. Pound
was unable to go to the Library himself, as
he was being held without trial as a political
prisoner by the United States government.
After he was denied broadcasting time in
the U.S., Dr. Pound broadcast from Italy in
an effort to persuade people of the United
States not to enter World War II. Franklin
D. Roosevelt had personally ordered Pound's
indictment, spurred by the demands of his
three personal assistants, Harry Dexter
White, Lauchlin Currie, and Alger Hiss, all
of whom were subsequently identified as
being connected with Communist espionage.
I had no interest in money or banking as
a subject, because I was working on a novel.
Pound offered to supplement my income by
ten dollars a week for a few weeks. My initial research revealed evidence of an international banking group, which had secretly
planned the writing of the Federal Reserve
Act and Congress' enactment of the plan into
law. These findings confirmed what Pound
had long suspected. He said, "You must
work on it as a detective story."
I was fortunate in having my research at
the Library of Congress directed by a prominent scholar, George Stimpson, founder of
the National Press Club, who was described
by The New York Times of September 28,
1952: "Beloved by Washington newspapermen as `our walking Library of Congress',
Mr. Stimpson was a highly regarded reference source in the Capitol. Government officials, Congressmen and reporters went to

him for information on any subject."
I did research four hours each day at
the Library of Congress, and went to St.
Elizabeth's Hospital in the afternoon. Pound
and I went over the previous day's notes. I
then had dinner with George Stimpson at
Scholl's Cafeteria while he went over my
material, and I then went back to my room
to type up the corrected notes. Both
Stimpson and Pound made many suggestions in guiding me in a field in which I had
no previous experience. When Pound's resources ran low, I applied to the Guggenheim
Foundation, Huntington Hartford Foundation, and other foundations to complete my
research on the Federal Reserve. Even
though my foundation applications were
sponsored by the three leading poets of
America, Ezra Pound, E.E. Cummings, and
Elizabeth Bishop, all of the foundations refused to sponsor this research. I then wrote
up my findings to date, and in 1950 began
efforts to market this manuscript in New
York. Eighteen publishers turned it down
without comment, but the nineteenth, Devin
Garrity, president of Devin Adair Publishing Company, gave me some friendly advice in his office.
"I like your book, but we can't print it,"
he told me. "Neither can anybody else in
New York. Why don't you bring in a prospectus for your novel, and I think we can
give you an advance. You may as well forget about getting the Federal Reserve book
published. I doubt if it could ever be printed."
This was devastating news, coming after two years of intensive work. I reported
back to Pound, and we tried to find a publisher in other parts of the country. After two
years of fruitless submissions, the book was
published in a small edition in 1952 by two
of Pound's disciples, John Kasper and David
Horton, using their private funds, under the
title Mullins on the Federal Reserve. In 1954,

This is the only book, which has been
burned in Germany since World War II. In
1968 a pirated edition of this book appeared
in California.
Both the FBI and the U.S. Postal inspectors refused to act, despite numerous complaints from me during the next decade. In
1980 a new German edition appeared. Because the U.S. Government apparently no
longer dictated the internal affairs of Germany, the identical book, which had been
burned in 1955 now circulates in Germany
without interference.
I had collaborated on several books with
Mr. H.L. Hunt and he suggested that I should
continue my long-delayed research on the
Federal Reserve and bring out a more definitive version of this book.
I had just signed a contract to write the
authorized biography of Ezra Pound, and the
Federal Reserve book had to be postponed.
Mr. Hunt passed away before I could get
back to my research, and once again I faced
the problem of financing research for the
book.
My original book had traced and named
the shadowy figures in the United States who
planned the Federal Reserve Act.
I now discovered that the men whom I
exposed in 1952 as the shadowy figures behind the operation of the Federal Reserve
System were themselves shadows, the
American fronts for the unknown figures
who became known as the "London Connection." I found that notwithstanding our
successes in the Wars of Independence of
1812 against England, we remained an economic and financial colony of Great Britain.
For the first time, we located the original stockholders of the Federal Reserve
Banks and traced their parent companies to
the London Connection.
This research is substantiated by citations
and documentation from hundreds of newspapers, periodicals and books and charts
showing blood, marriage, and business relationships. More than a thousand issues of
The New York Times on microfilm have

been checked not only for original information, but verification of statements from other
sources.
It is a truism of the writing profession
that a writer has only one book within him.
This seems applicable in my case, because I
am now in the fifth decade of continuous
writing on a single subject, the inside story
of the Federal Reserve System. This book
was from its inception commissioned and
guided by Ezra Pound. Four of his protégés
have previously been awarded the Nobel
Prize for Literature, William Butler Yeats for
his later poetry, James Joyce for "Ulysses",
Ernest Hemingway for "The Sun Also
Rises", and T.S. Elliot for "The Waste Land".
Pound played a major role in the inspiration and in the editing of these works-which leads us to believe that this present
work, also inspired by Pound, represents an
ongoing literary tradition.
Although this book in its inception was
expected to be a tortuous work on economic
and monetary techniques, it soon developed
into a story of such universal and dramatic
appeal that from the outset, Ezra Pound
urged me to write it as a detective story, a
genre, which was invented by my fellow
Virginian, Edgar Allan Poe. I believe that
the continuous circulation of this book during the past forty years has not only exonerated Ezra Pound for his much condemned
political and monetary statements, but also
that it has been, and will continue to be, the
ultimate weapon against the powerful conspirators who compelled him to serve thirteen and a half years without trial, as a political prisoner held in an insane asylum a la
KGB.
His earliest vindication came when the
government agents who represented the conspirators refused to allow him to testify in
his own defense; the second vindication
came in 1958 when these same agents
dropped all charges against him, and he
walked out of St. Elizabeth's Hospital, a free
man once more.
His third and final vindication is this
work, which documents every aspect of his
exposure of the ruthless international financiers to whom Ezra Pound became but one
more victim, doomed to serve years as the
Man in the Iron Mask, because he had dared
to alert his fellow-Americans to their furtive acts of treason against all people of the
United States.
In my lectures throughout this nation,
and in my appearances on many radio and
television programs, I have sounded the
toxin that the Federal Reserve System is not
Federal; it has no reserves; and it is not a
system at all, but rather, a criminal syndicate.

Ezra Pound was born in Hailey, Idaho,
in 1885. He completed two years of
college at the University of Pennsylvania and earned a degree from Hamilton
College in 1905. After teaching at
Wabash College for two years, he
travelled abroad to Spain, Italy and
London, where, as the literary executor
of the scholar Ernest Fenellosa, he
became interested in Japanese and
Chinese poetry. He married Dorothy
Shakespear in 1914 and became London
editor of the Little Review in 1917. In
1924, he moved to Italy; during this
period of voluntary exile, Pound
became involved in Fascist politics, and
did not return to the United States until
1945, when he was arrested on charges
of treason for broadcasting Fascist
propaganda by radio to the United
States during the Second World War. In
1946, he was acquitted, but declared
mentally ill and committed to St.
Elizabeths Hospital in Washington, D.C.
During his confinement, the jury of the
Bollingen-Library of Congress Award
(which included a number of the most
eminent writers of the time) decided to
overlook Pound's political career in the
interest of recognizing his poetic
achievements, and awarded him the
prize for the Pisan Cantos (1948). After
continuous appeals
from writers won
his release from
the hospital in
1958, Pound
returned to Italy
and settled in
Venice, where
he died, a semirecluse, in
1972.
