Subject:- Select List for the posts of Assistant Professor (Fisheries) in Higher
Education Department
Notification No. 03– PSC (DR-S) of 2017

Whereas, the Higher Education Department referred 04 posts (OM:02,
RBA:01, SC:01) of Assistant Professor in the discipline of Fisheries to the Public
Service Commission for being filled up from amongst the suitable candidates ; and
whereas, the Commission notified these posts vide Notification No. 12PSC(DR-P) of 2014 dated: 29.5.2014; and
whereas, in response to the above notification, 31 candidates had applied,
and out of which 12 eligible candidates were shortlisted for interview in
pursuance of rules; and
whereas, the interview of the eligible candidates was held today on
10.01.2017 at Jammu; and
Now, therefore, on the basis of performance in the interview coupled with
the weight-age in respect of academic merit, experience and other related
parameters, the Merit of the candidates who appeared in the interview, is
enclosed as “Annexure-A” to this Notification.
Consequent upon the above, the Select List of the candidate against the
available post is given in “Annexure-B” to this Notice.
Note:
1. The Commission reserves the right to have certificate/documents of
the candidate verified, if it is at any stage found expedient to do so.
The Select List is provisional and is subject to the outcome of writ
petitions pending before any competent Court of law.
2. 01 post under SC category remained unfilled due to non-availability
of eligible candidates. One candidate bearing BDNo.12 namely Jyoti
Sharma was found ineligible and was not allowed to appear in the
interview as she did not possess the requisite qualification within
the cutoff date.
