Pop can tabs will be collected to support the March of Dimes charity, whose goal is to enhance the independence, empowerment, and community participation of people with physical disabilities. Money collected from recycling the tabs is used to support the Assistive Devices Program that helps to buy, repair, and maintain assistive devices such as wheelchairs. Each year this 48-hour stationary bikea-thon raises money for the Alberta Children’s Hospital cancer unit, with $649,000 donated to date.
