Bom on the Onondaga Nation, she was a member of the Eel Clan. She graduated from the Onondaga Nation School and Haskell Indian School, Lawrence, Kan. She worked for the Onondaga Nation and previously was a secretary for the New York State Health Department and a secretary and culture teacher at the Onondaga Nation School. She was a member of the Onondaga Nation Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. Survivors: Her husband, Chief Irving Jr.; a daughter, Nancy J. Powless of Onondaga Nation; three sons, Barry A. of Cattaraugus, Bradley G. of Onondaga Nation and Neal J. of Syracuse; two sisters, Gertrude Lyons of Syracuse and Deanna Homer of LeRoy; a brother, Elmer Jacobs of Syracuse; and seven grandchildren.
