Thankyouforparticipatinginthisyear’sparade.Theparadeisabigpartofthe4thofJulycelebrationfor
visitorsandlocalsalike.With7,000+spectatorsit’salsoagreatwaytopromoteyourbusiness,
organization,specialevent,activityorcause.
PARADEROUTE:Theroutewillbethesameaslastyear.WewillstartattheIntersectionofChateau
RoadandOldMammothRoad.TheparadewillgodownOldMammothRoadtotheintersectionofMain
Street,turnupMainStreetpastthePostOffice,andfinishatManzanitaStreet.Paradeparticipantswill
exittheareathroughManzanita,Mono,LupinandJoaquinStreets.Emergencyvehicles,largevehicles
andfloatswillcontinueupMainStreettoexitthearea.
STARTTIME:Theparadestartspromptlyat11a.m.Finishtimeisapproximately1p.m.
STAGING:ParadeparticipantswillstagealongChateauRoadandAzimuthRoad.Emergencyand
oversizedvehicleswillstagealongOldMammothRoadbetweenSherwinCreekRoadandtheSnowcreek
DrivingRange.EquestrianswillstageintheSierraMeadowsPackStationparkinglot.Coordinatorswill
beonhandtoanswerquestionsandhelplineup.
CHECKINGIN:Check-inandfinalstaging/startorderinstructionswillgivenatthecornerofAzimuthand
ChateauRoadsbeginningat8:30a.m.Allentries(exceptequestrians,oversizedvehiclesandemergency
equipment)mustcheckinatthatlocationinordertoreceiveastarttimeandstaginglocation.
SpecialInstructionsforEquestrianParticipantsandEmergencyVehicles:TheFreedomMilerunning
eventwillbeheldagainthisyearat10:30a.m.TherunnerswillstartattheSnowcreekDrivingRange,
andOldMammothRoadwillbeclosedat10:15a.m.fortheevent.Thatmeansequestrians,oversized
vehiclesandemergencyvehiclesshouldplanonarrivingattheirstaginglocationonOldMammothRoad
eitherbefore10a.m.orafter10:45a.m.ParadeCoordinatorswillbeonOldMammothRoadandat
SierraMeadowsPackStationtohelpyoulineup.
CANDYANDKIDS:Youarenotallowedtothrowcandyoranyotheritemsfromtheroadwayintothe
crowd.Ifyouwouldliketodistributecandyorotheritems,pleasehaveadesignatedpersontowalk
alongthecrowdontheroadsidehandingoutyouritems.
SUNSCREEN,WATERANDHATS:Itcanbeveryhotanddrymarchingontheroad.Pleasewear
appropriateclothinganddrinkplentyofwater.
