Wards of Smith and Ennismore
using their Radar Equipment.

Submitting a Citizen Report




Go to www.roadwatch.ca
Click on the: “Report it Now” Button
Select Province then Region
Fill in all required information and click
submit button.
Following the Citizen Report Form
submission, the registered vehicle license
plate holder will receive a letter from the
O.P.P. outlining the aggressive driving
behaviour.
Even if the plate owner is not the offending
driver, a letter can be very effective.

Processing the
Citizen Report Form
The ROAD WATCH© program…


is a community driven initiative in
the O.P.P. enforced Wards of
Smith and Ennismore;
provides citizens with a means
to confidentially report
aggressive driving behaviour;
uses ROAD WATCH© signage to
provide a warning that local
citizens will not tolerate
aggressive driving;
depends on citizen involvement as driver habits and attitudes
cannot be altered by traffic
enforcement officers alone;
is successful when drivers take
care to make responsible
decisions behind the wheel;
mandate is to reduce automotive
collisions and fatalities through
awareness, education and
enforcement of road safety…

1 Offence:
 A letter sent and phone call made to the
plate owner describing the incident, date
and location of dangerous or aggressive
driving.
 A request made to registered owner or any
driver of the vehicle to voluntary cooperate
and drive in a responsible manner.

potential of personal visit from police
officer to address problem.

police officer may monitor the vehicle’s
actions to allow for enforcement if action is
repeated.
