Identification Apps What is an identification app? An app is an application program you can download onto your mobile device and/or computer. Biodiversity identification apps have practical features, including similar species comparisons and voices (i.e. calls, songs). Once you have installed them, you can use your mobile device as a field guide. Keep in mind that the apps listed below are only a sample of what's available. Why use an app instead of a field guide book?
