[trough] Add crest and trough to the visual vocabulary chart. Ask: How do we describe the wavelength? [the horizontal distance between two crests or two troughs] How do we describe the wave height? [the vertical distance between the crest and trough of a wave] Add wavelength and wave height to the chart. Say: Another word used to describe waves is amplitude.
