Applications
The Suez Canal Authority demands that all vessels
intending to transit the Suez Canal should have a special searchlight on board. Vessels with a bulbous bow
and vessels carrying dangerous cargo are required to
have their own searchlight. The Suez Canal Searhlight
shall be installed in the ship`s centerline and must fulfil
the requirements.

Vessels above 30000 SC.G.T. shall be equiped with
a searchlight of 3000W, and vessels less than 30000
SC.G.T. with 2000W.
The Norselight SH 510 Suez Canal Searchlight is
designed for installation on all size vessels using the
Suzes canal and complies fully with the regulations of
the Suez canal authorities.

With an extremely low weight (28,5 kg) and convenient
lifting handles, the searchlight can be easily moved
from the storage area and mounted on the deck by
one person.
All the components are chosen to withstand corrosion
and require a minimum of maintenance.
