EVENT INFORMATION – RALLY DOSSIER
THE ROUTES
For 2017 the KTM Adventure Rally Canada will include 2 different routes that will suit 2
different kind of motorcycles and riders. Both classes will be racing in the same goal of getting
the closest final millage possible and doing the best time during our special stages. The
millage will be calculated according to the KTM predefined routes and the team results will
be shared during the award ceremony on Saturday night.
“T” Class (Adventure Touring Route):
The “T” class will be available to teams of 2 or 3 riders ready to get a lot of KMs in during the
2 day Rally. With an average of 400 to 500 km per day, you and your teammate will be
entering a great adventure where it will be really important to follow your GPS closely. With
still an 80% Off-Road route you will be traveling up and down the mountains on gravel and
other off-road terrains.
“R” Class (Adventure Off-Road Route):
The “R” class will also be available to teams of 2 or 3 riders. This route should only contain
a maximum of 10% pavement. Knobby Tires will be mandatory to ride the “R” class. Trails
will still be Adventure friendly (achievable on a KTM 1290 Super Adventure R or similar
models). You and your teammate will have to conquer an average of 200 to 300km a day on
a parkour that might be challenging at some points presenting some big elevation, rocks and
logs.
