Pop art started in Britain in the 1950s and spread
threw/through the world in the 1960s. At this time

popular culture such as advertising, comic

used the technique called appropriation, which
means borrowing images which have appeared in the past/passed and using

Pop artists did not try to make a judgement about

wrong. Their/they’re objective was two/too/to
show how popular culture had flooded into
people’s minds. Pop artists wanted

won of the most famous pop artists was Andy
Warhol who’s/whose paintings included soup cans
and movie stars like Marilyn Monroe.
Critics in the 1960s sore/saw the knew/new pop art trend as vulgar and
unimportant. Supporters of pop art liked it four/for they felt it was art that
everybody could understand.
