Sara Myrdal works since 2009 at the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency (MSB), as Special Adviser
to the Director General on International and EU affairs. Sara has previously worked as Senior
Analyst at the Swedish National Defence College (SNDC). In her position at the SNDC she
collaborated within the research program “Building Societal Security in Europe” where she focused
on the challenges of multi-sectoral and multi-level governance in a European perspective.
Sara has previously worked as a Research associate with the Nordic Security Policy Research
Programme. She has also worked at the Swedish Institute of International Affairs (SIIA), heading a
research project on crisis management in the European Union.
