All students are expected to register prior to the start of the school year, including students in Special Education, English
Language Learner Programs, and Early Learning Programs. Students should have all forms completed and signed by
parents or guardians when registering. The Sheboygan Area School District, excluding Cleveland Elementary
School, N.E.W. Montessori, Tower Academy, Central High School, George Warriner Middle/High Schools, Jefferson
Elementary School and Sheboygan Leadership Academy, will accept Master Card, Visa, and Discover credit cards.

At North High School there will be a $5.00 Physical Education fee for all freshman and sophomores, and for senior Physical
Education elective class.
At South High School there will be a $5.00 Physical Education fee for all sophomores and juniors. There will be a $30.00
fee for bowling for all seniors who are taking Physical Education during second semester. Also, all South High School band
members will be charged $15.00 at registration for uniform cleaning which will be done at the end of the school year.
The Student Activity Ticket may be paid for along with other fees and covers admission to most school activities, a
subscription to the school newspaper for one year, and the school yearbook.
The Student/Parent Planner–Handbook is required for all students attending North. Parents and students are encouraged to
review the extremely important information enclosed within these planners/handbooks.
School starts on TUESDAY, September 1, 2015. SOUTH: Detailed information on the first day of school will be mailed to
all students before registration. At NORTH, freshman students will participate in orientation activities on Tuesday, September
1, 2015 from 8:00 a.m. until Noon. Lunch will be at Noon. From 12:45 p.m. to 3:15 p.m., ALL students will participate in
orientation activities.
All students attending Wisconsin public, private, and parochial schools must meet the following minimum immunization
requirements. It is not a recommended immunization schedule for infants and preschoolers. For that schedule, contact your
doctor or local health department.
Parents/Guardians of early childhood and kindergarten children and new enrollees must provide the child’s birth certificate,
proof of adequate immunization and a completed medical examination record signed by a physician. NOTE: Varicella
(chickenpox) vaccine is required for children entering Kindergarten through grade 12 unless they have already had the
disease.

School Nutrition Services:
FREE/REDUCED MEALS: Lunch applications will be available at all schools during registration. One application per
household is required unless you receive a letter in the mail prior to registration approving your family for free meals.
You can apply for free or reduced meals anytime during the school year. All families will be required to pay for meals
taken until the date the application is approved by the School Nutrition Department. A letter will be sent to all
households notifying you of free/reduced status. Please keep this letter as it may be used for discounts for Rec. Dept.,
testings, scholarships, grants, etc.
LUNCH CARDS: All schools have the electronic card scanning system. Students are required to have money in their
account prior to ordering meals. Any amount of money will be accepted into meal accounts during registration. Payment
for low balance accounts will be expected to be paid in full at the time of registration. Each student will be allowed up to
(3) three lunch card replacements at the school district’s expense, the (4) fourth card issued will be at the family’s
expense, which is not to exceed the cost of one paid meal.

The athletic code meeting for North High School will be held on Monday, August 3rd at Noon in the IMC at North
High School. This meeting is mandatory for NEW athletes and incoming freshmen. Students and parents not
attending the August 3rd meeting must make an appointment with their respective athletic directors. If you
attended the athletic code meeting at North that was held in June, you do not need to come to the August 3rd code
meeting. This information will also be provided in the registration information/newsletter.
The athletic code meeting for South High School will be held on Monday, July 27th at 6:00 p.m. in the Commons at
South High School. This meeting is mandatory for ALL students and parents who have NEVER participated in a cocurricular activity at South High School. This information will also be provided in the registration
information/newsletter.
North yearbook pictures will be taken at registration and additional pictures may be purchased on a prepaid package plan.
South annual pictures will be taken at registration and additional pictures may be purchased on a prepaid package plan.
Identification pictures will be taken at both schools. These ID pictures are required and used for identification cards, bus
