REALABS-thefutureofpropertytechnology
REAGrouptodayannouncedREALABS,apurpose-builtinventionspaceintheheartofAustralia’s
techhub,Richmond,designedtocreate,trialandbringtolifethenewesttechnologiesfor
consumerstoexperienceproperty.
Thenewspacewillbededicatedtoinventionandinnovation,housingarangeofnewtechnologies,
includingvirtualreality,augmentedreality,dronesandrobotics.
REALABSwillbethetrainingcentrefortheGroup’sglobalgraduates,designengineersandproduct
teams.ItwillalsobecomehomeforREAio(formerlyknownasREAGroup’sHackDays);aspaceto
hosttechnologystart-upsandindustryevents.
TofurthersolidifytheGroup’sinvestmentininnovationandtechnology,NigelDalton,Chief
InformationOfficer,hasbeenappointedtothenewlycreatedroleof‘ChiefInventor’andwillleada
dedicatedteamofexpertsfocusedonthefutureoftechnologyatREALABS.
Withthischange,anewlycreatedChiefEngineerrole,replacingtheChiefInformationOfficer,will
headupREAGroup’sglobaltechnologystrategy.Aglobalsearchhasnowcommencedforthis
position.
