The Art Historical Society of Wanaque is creating a new exhibit for museum patrons centered on the Renaissance. Although the exhibit will feature works from multiple artists, writers and philosophers, the main portion of the show will be to highlight one individual dubbed the “The Ultimate Renaissance Man”. Your assignment is to choose one Renaissance figure from those listed below and nominate them for this honor. While you may take some creative liberties, your nomination should be factual and highlight their most important contributions to both the Renaissance and modern worlds. A short summary explaining why they deserve the honor of being called the Ultimate Renaissance Man. Use complete sentences. (5 points) III. A summary of the educational background of your character. Bullets are allowed. (5 points) i. Who did they study under (if anyone) and where did they go to school or get their training? ii. Who were their influences (Who did they look up to or admire? Who did they want to be like?) iii. What areas of art/literature are their specialties? iv. What artistic techniques did they most commonly use? IV. An experience section that includes a list of your figure’s 3 most famous works in order of most recent to oldest along with the following information. Bullets are allowed. (15 points) 1. A contributions section that reflects your figure’s contributions to the Renaissance and modern art/literature (what made them unique/what did they do that no one else had done before or as well? Why do we remember them today? How did they change the world?) Use full sentences(10 points) VI. A humanism section that reflects how your character embodied aspects of Renaissance humanism.
