To celebrate Citizenship Day (a.k.a. Constitution Day), the Hennepin County Bar Association will be hosting a naturalization ceremony in the IDS Center Crystal Court on Friday, September 16, at 12:00 p.m. Over 100 immigrants from over twenty countries will be sworn in as United States citizens. Judge Richard Kyle, Federal District Judge for the District of Minnesota, will be presiding over the ceremony. Please join us! Cereal Day for United Way The 9 annual Malt-O-Meal “Cereal Day for United Way” will take place Thursday, September 22 beginning at 7:30 am. 25,000 bags of cereal will be sold at $1.00 a bag and for each bag sold, Malt-O-Meal will donate $2.00 to United Way. Last year, the cereals sold out by lunch time so swing by early and help raise $50,000 for the Greater Twin Cities United Way. th Sponsored by the Department of Homeland Security, September has been designated National Preparedness Month, a time to take steps to ready ourselves to deal with emergencies such as tornadoes, floods, fire and other hazards.
