Italian Detail by Polybuilding Launch of Exclusive Designer
Marble Furniture Collection
The Italian Detail- Polybuilding Marble Furniture Collection comprises furniture
such as tables, chairs and stools of top-notch Italian design made of quality marble
26 November 2015, Singapore – As a strong signifier of cultural richness, luxury, and
quality, it is no surprise that marble is the material of choice for Polybuilding and
Italian Detail’s latest collection of exclusive furniture. Leading marble supplier in the
region, Polybuilding, has collaborated with Italian Detail, a premium Italian interior
design firm, to create the Marble Collection, a simultaneously avant-garde yet
elegant series of furniture that will be launched on 26 November 2015.
The Marble Collection is Polybuilding and Italian Detail's unique and modern
take on the classic and elegant marble, which is the traditional stone of choice for
the greatest sculpture works throughout history. The pieces will all reflect the
sophistication that Italian design is world-famous for, brought to life in the form of
beautiful marble of the highest quality. Comprising tables, chairs and stools, the
main pieces on display from the Collection will include the Swirl Table, the reworked
His and Her Chair in full marble, and the Swivel Stool.

in collaboration with Italian Detail. Much like marble itself which is a material prized
for being inimitable in the texture, grain and colour of each slab, every piece of
furniture in the Marble Collection is similarly distinctive in its highly personalised

making it the perfect material for the amalgamation of creativity and utmost quality
that are the hallmark of each piece of furniture in the Marble Collection.”
The Swirl Table, a beautiful table with elegant marble legs and a round glass
top, may be said to be the focal point of the collection. In a surprising twist and a
hearty nod to Asian culture – a mark of the collaboration between East and West in
the local Polybuilding and the European Italian Detail – the Swirl Table has been
fitted out with a turning dial on top to resemble the function of the ubiquitous lazy
Susan present in formal Chinese restaurants. The marble bottom literally takes
centre-stage on this table, as three panels of marble make up a visually stunning
swirly tri-base, held together with unobtrusive metal supports.
Another eye-catching piece that will be on display at the launch is the Him and
Her Chair. Remade with fully marble legs for the Marble Collection, the Him and Her
Chair is a true work of art that is made up of two flat pieces of solid marble which
make up the seat and the backing. These are affixed on top of a marble threequarter circle base that looks remarkably like Pac-Man, the eponymous arcade
game by Namco that defined the 1980s. This fully marble version is suitable for
outdoor use and promises to add character to any backyard or garden it sits in.
Other than the Swivel Table and the Him and Her Chair, a series of Swivel
Stools will also be launched at the event. Available in full marble in a variety of
heights, the Swivel Stool is a marvelous example of chic and customisable designer
furniture. Its base is made of slabs of marble that differ in size as they are stacked

silhouettes, with a larger piece of marble forming the seat. The slabs of marble can
be of different shapes too, for a truly boundless scope of design according to the
individual’s aesthetic preferences.
The launch of the Marble Collection will be held on 26 November 2015 at
Initaly Restaurant, exclusively for members of the media and esteemed industry
