Garfield Heights Middle School News Welcome Back! We would like to welcome the following new staff to our school building this year. Mr. Chris Sauer - Mr. Sauer is not new to our building he had the pleasure of teaching Social Studies for 8 years here at the MS and last year Assistant Principal. Welcome Mr. Sauer! Mr. Freilino, also is not new to the Garfield Heights school community. He served several years as a teacher in the Learning Center. We would like to welcome the addition of Mr. Frelino to the middle school as one of our Assistant Principals. Mr. Cottingham – Security Officer Doug Dillon – School Officer September 2015 PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions Support) Every day, students exhibiting positive behavior have a chance to win a prize from the assistant principals. Teachers dole out 10 tickets per day to students who are being safe, responsible, and respectful. In addition, each team recognizes a student of the week. The student of the week receives a certificate, gets their picture taken, and it gets posted on the Garfield Heights City Schools website.
