SKILLS
SUTURING
Be taught and practise how to perform the most fundamental
surgical skill.
KEYHOLE SURGERY
Practice surgical techniques on keyhole surgery simulators,
with miniature cameras and laparoscopic instruments.
ANIMAL CPR
The animal’s heart has stopped, blood and oxygen are no
longer circulating. Learn how to perform cardiopulmonary
resuscitation (CPR) to keep your patient alive.
MOLECULAR BIOLOGY
A fascinating practical presented by St George’s University.
VET STUDENT FORUM
Meet current vet students face to face and find out what it
takes to study veterinary medicine.
SMALL ANIMAL CLINIC
Get hands on with the small animals that will make up most of
the patients in a veterinary practice.
PRACTICE
MAKE YOUR OWN GMO
Receive a kit and instruction on how to put together your
own virtual Genetically Modified Organism.
EXOTIC ANIMALS
Cats, dogs and farmyard animals will be the most common
animals you’ll see as a vet but not the only ones! In this
session, get hands on with and learn about some of the
more exotic animals you might see during your career.
Animals such as meerkats, porcupines, raccoons, wallabies
and more!
VIRTUAL REALITY
Experience the future of veterinary teaching as you put on a VR headset
and enter a virtual world.
CLINICAL PREPARATION
Learn auscultation in preparation for the workshop. This extra session,
previously charged at £15, is now included for free along with a free
stethoscope.
AUSCULTATION
Learn how to use one of the most important tools at your
disposal in your career as a vet.
ULTRASOUND
See how ultrasound can be used to detect abnormalities and
diagnose problems.
REPTILES
Handle and learn about the common husbandry issues with
snakes and lizards.
ANIMAL SANCTUARY
Meet the animals who are abandoned and find out more about
the invaluable service that our animal sanctuaries perform.
