HiTEMP COATINGS FOR HMA PLANT COMPONENTS WITH ELEVATED TEMPERATURES Primers 860-HF 400°F Silicone Copolymer 860-HF is a single package silicone copolymer primer designed fir heat affected zones up to 400°F. It provides maximum adhesion and corrosion protection even on limited surface preparation areas. It may be topcoated with a wide range of topcoats: Silicon alkyds, alkyds, urethanes, and acrylics. "SPRAY-SAFE" 47-HF 450°F Hybrid Epoxy Novolac 47 Series is a 2-K Hybrid Epoxy Novolac specifically formulated to alleviate extensive surface preparation while providing excellent temperature and chemical resistance. 48-HF 450°F Insulation Epoxy Novolac 48 Series Hybrid Epoxy Novolac insulation primer is a high build 2-K product that provides insulation characteristics and exceptional heat reduction properties. When applied at 12 mils DFT on 450°F surfaces, it can reduce surface temperatures up to 130°F. This primer offers excellent chemical and corrosion protection and is a great choice for priming under insulation. 827-HB 1200°F Inert Multipolymeric Matrix 827 Series is an unparalleled single package primer that is ideal for CUI services from -300°F up to 1200°F, or where extreme thermal shock resistance is necessary. 827 offers high build properties and is very surface tolerant. With proper reduction, this coating may be hot applied to surfaces up to 750°F. Direct-To-Metal 47-HF 450°F Hybrid Epoxy Novolac 47 Series is a 2-K Hybrid Epoxy Novolac specifically formulated to alleviate extensive surface preparation while providing excellent temperature and chemical resistance and is an excellent coating option to prevent corrosion under insulation for services ranging from -40°F up to 450°F. 79-LH 350°F Polyamide Adduct Epoxy 79-LH is a Direct to Metal 2-K epoxy designed for intermittent surface temperatures to 350°F and continual temperatures to 300°F. It may be applied up to 5 mils DFT for normal conditions and up to 10 mils DFT for baghouse interiors. 802 600°F Silicone Alkyd 802 has excellent adhesion to steel surfaces and provides corrosion protection for services up to 1200°F. GENERAL MAINTENANCE COATINGS FOR HMA PLANT COMPONENTS WITHOUT ELEVATED TEMPERATURES Primers 84-LH Phenolic Modified Alkyd 84-LH Series is a phenolic modified alkyd with an open-ended topcoat window. It is a surface tolerant structural primer with an elaborate system of rust inhibitors to assure outstanding corrosion protection even in rugged climatic environments. It also provides maximum adhesion and corrosion protection on areas with limited surface preparation. 97-HF Polyamine Adduct Epoxy 97 Series epoxy mastic is specifically formulated to alleviate extensive surface preparation. It can be applied over minimally prepared surfaces, rusty steel, and deteriorated previous painted surfaces. It dries to a semi-gloss finish and may be applied up to 8 mils DFT per coat. A complex rust inhibitor system ensures excellent corrosion protection. Direct-To-Metal 97-HF Polyamine Adduct Epoxy 97 Series epoxy mastic is specifically formulated to alleviate extensive surface preparation. It can be applied over minimally prepared surfaces, rusty steel, and deteriorated previous painted surfaces. It dries to a semi-gloss finish and may be applied up to 8 mils DFT per coat. Topcoats 36-HF Aliphatic Acrylic Urethane 36 Series is a 2-K aliphatic urethane topcoat specifically designed to meet low VOC requirements. These qualities, along with an outstanding coverage rate, make it the product of choice for high performance maintenance painting. 150C HiGlo Alkyd 150C Series is a high performance topcoat offering premium corrosion protection, gloss retention, and color purity when compared to generically similar products. It is an inexpensive, durable coating to be used on structural steel, varying plant components, quarries, and transportation equipment. It may also be enhanced with a urethane modifier 34-ALH-100. 150-28 HiGlo Alkyd 150-28 offers the same properties of 150C Series, and also meets 2.8 lbs per gallon VOC requirements. SOLVENT BORNE DRY-FALL COATINGS Primers 475R Polyamine Epoxy 475R Series is a high performance Dry-Fall 2-K polyamine epoxy primer. It is very surface tolerant, and may be applied over tightly bonded rust or mill scale and offers outstanding chemical, water, weathering, and corrosion protection. 475R is also an excellent tie coat when used between a zinc primer and topcoat of choice. "SPRAY-SAFE" 65R Modified Acrylic 65R Series is an extremely fast drying modified acrylic topcoat with outstanding gloss and weathering properties. This very economical coating will not retain gloss and color purity as long the 68R Series urethanes, but it is a very durable coating with a good reputation in heavy industrial environments.
