ABSTRACT
We, team stallions ,students of GALGOTIAS INSTITUTIONS of MECHANICAL DEPARTMENT had
participated in INTERNAL GOKART CHAMPIONSHIP 2013-14 held in LPU , jalandhar from 21st-24th
march 2014 where more than 100 teams took part and 53 cleared the virtuals and were selected
from dynamic round .
We stood 3rd in international ranking in the virtual round of this event .
We also got the best marketing presentation award in the dynamic round among 53 teams
We also got rs 5000 cash prize in the dynamic round for excellent presentation

DAY 0 (21 MARCH 2014)
Our team arrived in LPU along with our kart at 7:30 AM .
Day zero started with team registration and i-card distribution. Then the respective pits were
allotted .
Then the day progressed in the EXHIBITION phase , where all the race karts were presented together
in front of the MEDIA , and hence the day was concluded

THE day commenced with the DESIGN EVALUATION ROUND in which our kart was verified and
judged by the SAE judges
Then we progressed to the MARKETING PRESENTATION , which was presented by PULKIT SRESHTH
&VIBHOR MATHUR.

This day commenced with the TECHNICAL INSPECTION ,in which our art was verified under the
constraint s of rulebook of international go –kart championship , which only 39 teams out of 53
were able to clear , which itself was a great achievement for us in this event .
In this test we had some ground clearance issues , which we corrected within half an hour and got
our technical OK sticker
After this we went to our DYNAMIC EVENTS , which were cleared by us in the following manner :
TILT TEST :
There was a tilt of 45 degree .and our kart had to run on it, without any signs of any kinds
leakages.we cleared the test in first attempt
ENGINE TEST :
In this the efficiency and the specifications of the engine were verified in terms of legal
documents.we cleared the test in first attempt
ACCELERATION TEST :
In this test our kart had to run for 100 feet at full throttle and then completely stop within 10 feet
range. We completed this test in 6.2 SECONDS . and were 4TH IN THE GRID POSITION .
BRAKE TEST :

WE cleared the brake test but our wheels weren’t locked completely hence we were penalised for
40 marks.
DAY 3 (24TH MARCH 2014)
The final test of this whole event was the ENDURANCE RUN which was of 2 hours...where all the T.I.
OK vehicles were to race for the crown.
After 1 hour of commencement of ENDURANCE RUN , we had disc brake BREAKDOWN and hence
our team was rendered unfit to race further.and ths was the end of our journey
PRIZE DISTRIBUTION
WE BAGGED THE 1ST PRIZE FOR BEST MARKETING PRESENTATION
WE WERE ALSO AWARDED Rs 5000 CASH PRIZE FOR TECHNICAL EXCELLENCE
AND FOR STANDING 3RD IN OVERALL INTERNATIONAL RANKINGS IN THE
VIRTUALS ROUND , DEFEATING ALL OTHER TEAMS
