Snow-shoe Trek under the Northern Lights of Lapland (until end of March)

We trek to Stornabben – One of the local small peaks – were we are shielded from all
electrical lights. We enjoy the northern lights and the guide explains the phenomenon.
Warm clothes, warm drink and snow-shoes included, appr 2,5 hours
Aurora Sky station – Northern Lights of Lapland (until mid-March)

We transfer you to the Aurora Sky Station in Abisko. You take the ski-lift up the
mountain to see the Northern Lights and view the exhibition. Includes warm clothes,
ticket.
Ice-climbing in the Abisko Canyon (until end of March; april, depending on ice) 750 ,- sek
The canyon is close to the Lodge, have fun ice-climbing on frozen water-falls over the
river that runs through the canyon. Half-day activity, includes guide and necessary
equipment.
Ice-fishing

We will try ice-fishing on one of the lakes, close to Abisko. Perhaps you will catch
today’s dinner? The lake has both Arctic char, Grayling and Trout, mostly during
winter it is Arctic Char – the king of the Lappish fishes - you will catch.
Snow-shoe half day trip

Includes snowshoes and guide. The guide will tell you about the areas nature and
history of the Sami people. The tour goes into the outdoor area of Abisko where the
views are spectacular over the lake, mountain and Abisko National Park.
Dogsledding; Alaska trapper

Sitting comfortably on a large sled, not un-similar to the old Mail-sleds used in Alaska
over 100 years ago, you will not only get the answer to why the dog is man's best friend
but you will also experience the joy and power that a team of sled-dogs will generate.

Dog-sledding; Musher´s joy

Become a Dogsled-driver for a time! A fantastic way to see the nature and to get to
know the Dog in a new way! You will be given a dogteam of about 4 dogs to mush and
together we will explore the wild. We stop for lunch outside. (6-hours, Running
Tuesday and Friday)
Snow-mobile Adventure in Swedish Lappland (1 person/snowmobile 1980,-)
