Help us to walk the 8000km or 12,106,000
steps from Scotland to Hyderabad
Help us virtually walk the 8000km or 12,106,000 steps from Scotland to
Hyderabad in India to show the girls whom we support that their lives matter
and raise money for the GIRLS’ LIVES MATTERS Appeal. During the month of
June we want you to walk, run or cycle a minimum of 10km or 15,133 steps which will
contribute towards our aim to walk the equivalent distance from Scotland to Hyderabad.

app or a map?
Then we have the
challenge for you!
It is up to you on how you want to challenge yourself, there is no set date or set place.
There are no rules, you set the place, the distance and the pace. You choose if your walk
to work is part of the challenge and that extra run at the weekend goes towards your target.
If you’re feeling brave you can do the distance in one go, or add up lots of smaller distances
to make the total. Please submit the distance you covered either by email or
post (including your form).

• Pop on your Fitbit, pedometer or just
measure the distance you go on a map.

Registration costs £5.
• Ready, get set and go!
• You will receive your welcome pack
including your SLA drawstring bag, a
sponsor sheet form and a leaflet about the
GIRLS’ LIVES MATTER Appeal.
• You can walk, jog, run, skip, hop, cycle or
go by horse! It’s up to you as long as you
complete at least 10km or more.
• The great thing about this challenge is that
it can be done in your own time whenever it
suits you, during June 2017. Go it alone or
with some friends.
• Get sponsored: either use the sponsor
form overleaf or gather sponsors online

to make a donation instead (minimum £20).

• When you have completed your
challenge email the distance you covered
to [email protected] so that it can
be added to our total. Keep a track of the
progress of all participants on our website
counter and virtual map, check how far
we get with our joint effort.
• To enter the Prize Draw to win two
return flight tickets from the UK
to India participants must submit
their total distance covered and have
transferred their fundraising money to
SLA no later than the 31st of July 2017.
• Payments can be made through JustGiving,
bank transfer, cheque or cash. Please visit

WHO ARE WE AND WHY JOIN US?
Scottish Love in Action (SLA) is a charity based in Scotland that cares for and supports vulnerable children in India. In Hyderabad, India,
where there are 28,000 children living on the streets, our new Indian partners urgently need funds to rescue, care for, educate and empower
girls so they can decide their own futures. SLA needs your support to help these vulnerable girls as part of the GIRLS’ LIVES MATTER Appeal.
