Piano Lab Information
The International Christian School piano lab offers group lessons (up to four students
at a time) to beginning piano students in grades 4-12. This year our piano lab will also be
offering a limited number of semiprivate lessons (two students at a time) to students who
have achieved at least the equivalent of Bastien Level II and who will commit to practicing a
minimum of 2 hours per week.
Students will take lessons once a week during regularly
scheduled classes. In order for a student to continue piano lab
participation, he must maintain good grades in the class missed
due to piano lessons. Failure to maintain good grades may result
in dismissal from the piano lab. Furthermore, students should have
a keyboard instrument to practice, since practicing is required for
continued participation.
In addition to a $25 registration fee, you will be billed monthly for lessons at a rate of
$8 per week (piano lab) and $12 per week (semiprivate). You will also be billed periodically
for each book your child receives (annual book purchase estimate: $7 to $30).
In order for your child to be considered for acceptance into the piano lab, we ask that
you completely fill out the form below and return it to the office with the $25 registration fee.
This fee is non-refundable unless all openings have been filled. All forms turned in by Friday,
September 5, 2014, will receive priority consideration.
