Worship Team
INTERVIEW & AUDITION information
If you’re interested in joining the worship team at BP Church, please know that we value our musicians’ commitment to our
church. So, one of the primary things we look for in those auditioning is whether you’re either already involved in our
church, or you have plans to make BP Church your home if asked to join the team.
PREPARING for your audition

If you have not done so already, please complete a WORSHIP TEAM APPLICATION and submit it to Pastor Marc;
Be in prayer about your involvement on the worship team;
Guitar players please bring your instruments and gear (amp, pedals, etc.) to the audition;
MOST IMPORTANTLY, we are looking for people with a heart for worship that worship on and off the platform and
live in a way that honors God.
You may audition for multiple instruments or and instrument and vocals
Log in to your planning center account and SIGN UP on the audition page to access mp3’s and practice trax for the
prepared songs below. If you don’t have a Planning Center account, please make sure to get a CD from Pastor Marc
prior to your audition to learn the pieces.
KNOW YOUR STUFF & COME PREPARED! If you don’t know the song or haven’t even listened to it, etc. please do
not learn the song(s) during your audition. Please make sure you have charts & all of your gear with you.
WHAT to prepare
Bass // Play Exalted One by Elevation Worship or Salvation is Here by Hillsong United and one song of your choice.
Drums // Play Our God is Love by Hillsong, has to be played to a click track at 120 bpm.
Acoustic Guitar // Play All I Need by Bethany Dillon and one song of your choice. Pay close attention to the mp3’s to try
and mimic the tone and chord shapes used.
Electric Guitar // Play Deep Cries Out by Bethel Live or The Lord is My Rock by Elevation Worship. Be sure to play opening
lead line as well as the other parts of the song. Also play one song of your choice. Pay close attention to the mp3’s to try and
mimic the tone and chord shapes used.
Keys // Play Song of Solomon by Martin Smith or Restless by Audrey Assad. Play one song of your choice.
Vocals // Sing the chorus and bridge of Give Me Faith by Elevation Worship a cappella. Sing 1 verse and 1 chorus of a song of
your choice a cappella. Please memorize your words.
ON THE DAY of your audition
Please arrive a few minutes early for your audition. When you arrive…vocalists should be warmed up on their own before
they come in for their audition. Guitar players should tune their instruments prior to their audition so that when they come
into the audition room, they are ready to play. You will be asked to sing or play the pieces that you have chosen. You may be
asked to try a piece of music that is new to you. Vocalists will review their vocal range.
Length of Audition: 15-30 min’s
FOLLOWING the audition
You will receive an email within the week of your audition informing you of the audition results.
