Report on Productivity Week Celebrations
(12th – 18th February 2017)
RPMG, Bengaluru commemorated Productivity Week held every year from 12th to 18th of
February with great success and fanfare. This year the theme being Waste to Profits trough
Reduce, Recycle & Reuse met with substantial response among the participants and has set
the stage for ushering in the Zero Defect Zero Effect initiative by Indian Government with
full force and effectiveness.
We, at Bengaluru, had kept a workshop inline to the theme, highlighting the main cause of
Waste & its Minimization using various Techniques , along with, various consultants
participating in giving Lectures and conducting Quiz Competitions at various prestigious
organizations like HAL, Bangalore Complex (Aerospace Division, Aircraft Division, Foundry
& Forge Division and Helicopter Division), ITI, Bengaluru, BHEL EPD Division, BHEL
Electronics Division, Bengaluru and HMT Machine Tools Ltd..

A total of 73 participants attended (List Attached – Annexure I). Out of the feedback obtained
from them, the following graphs show the achieved results for the programme.

Summary
The programme was a resounding success in all possible means as this time
awareness among the participants were more due to efforts done by NPC in canvassing the
theme using Social Media and Digital Media/Newsprint. The take away from the programme
was the participants wanted more specific details regarding the Schemes & Policy that
government have initiated to spread Waste Minimization.
