Integrated Health Projects Awarded £ 32.8 Million Contract at
The Royal Oldham Hospital
Integrated Health Projects (IHP), a joint venture between VINCI Construction UK and Sir Robert McAlpine,
has been awarded a £32.8 million contract to build phase 3 of a new development at The Royal Oldham
Hospital in Manchester which will incorporate a women and children’s super centre.
The development comprises a major new four-storey building, the refurbishment of existing wards in the
main hospital and will include new delivery rooms, obstetric theatres, a paediatric theatre, more maternity
beds and a brand new Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
The development represents the largest capital investment made to date by the Pennine Acute Hospitals
NHS Trust and is the fourth project IHP have undertaken for the same client under the NHS ProCure 21
method of procurement.
Commenting on the award of the contract to IHP, Graham Lord, Head of Estate Development for the
Pennine Acute Hospitals NHS Trust said:
‘We are delighted to continue our partnership with IHP following the approval of the Phase 3 Development
at The Royal Oldham Hospital. IHP have already completed three large schemes for the Trust and we have
established a good working relationship with the contractor and their team and look forward to another
successful project.’
