Individual channel input levels are adjustable within the specified limits listed above by utilizing the blue potentiometer behind the input phono jack. A step by step procedure is described on the next page. ADS MODEL 8X10 - Installation Information Audio Level Adjustment Input Audio Level Adjustment Procedure 1. Connect the ADS customer interface module to be used in the system, i.e. ADS wall control unit or ADS customer hand controls unit. 2. Adjust the audio level adjustment (blue potentiometer) on the ADS Model 8x10 primary unit to the minimum position: full counter-clockwise (ccw). 3. Using a standard headphone (32 ohm), connect the headphones to the ADS customer interface module via the appropriate 3.5mm jack. Do not put on headphones. 4. Adjust the “Volume” knob on the ADS customer interface module to maximum volume: full clockwise (cw) 5. Connect the audio programming source material to the channel being adjusted. If possible, adjust the audio output level of the program source to 1.0 Vpp. 6. Supply power to the ADS Model 8x10 primary and any additional secondary units that are installed. Only use the plug-in wall transformers supplied by Sigma Southwest. 7. Adjust the audio level adjustment (blue potentiometer) on the ADS Model 8x10 primary unit to the maximum headphone sound level that you feel is safe to supply to the listening customer. It is always safest to set the audio level to the lowest headphone level that your customer will accept. Excessively loud audio can cause ear injury. 8. Repeat this procedure for all audio programming channels
