Scope of the Project We will analyse three groups: The direct competitors already identified by RISE. More direct competitors as identified by the consulting team. Further indirect competitors. 2. Objectives of the Project Identify more competitors. Understand positioning of each competitor. Gain a deeper understanding of all competitors including those currently listed in the business plan. Learn from others’ shortcomings such as why M-Kopa’s growth in Tanzania has been slow. 3. Success Criteria A list of x number of competitors. Develop and present a framework for understanding the different positions of each “competitor”. Key relevant learnings from each competitor. Identification of key trends and changes amongst competitors. 4. Assumptions & Constraints Indirect competitors will be limited to those currently operating in Tanzania and direct competitors outside of Tanzania (but limited to within East Africa) will only be analysed if they have a similar business model to RISE. Project timeline will be Friday 24th June - Friday 8th July. 5. Project Schedule (Gantt chart) The project’s final deliverable will be presented on the 8th of July.
