RACE RULES:
SPONSORS
• The race is run according to the rules of the ASA and WPA.
• Refreshment tables will be provided at regular intervals in accordance with the
rules of ASA and WPA.
• Licensed athletes must wear 2016 license numbers front and back. Club
colors to be worn to qualify for team prizes. Temporary licences to be worn
on the chest.
• Cut Off Times : 21.1km - 3 1/2 Hours / 10km Run—2 Hours/
• Runners must obey traffic officers, race officials and race Marshalls at all times.
• The organizers, sponsors & WPA accept no responsibility for injury or accident
resulting from participation in the race
• Participants must be 16 years for 21.1km and 14 years for 10km.
• Juniors (born in 1997 or later) wearing a senior or junior license must display
“J” category tags to qualify for age group prizes.
• Prize giving will take place at 09h30 at the Rocklands Sport Complex.
• Temporary licensed participants are eligible for age category prizes.
• Please do not litter. Bins will be provided.
• For safety reasons the use of personal music players during road races is strongly
discouraged. Any person using such device in contravention of IAAF Rule 3 (b) who
fails to obey a reasonable instruction from a race official may be disqualified and shall
not be eligible for individual or team prizes.
• Juniors will count towards Open team prizes
• Entry cards must be in the athletes possession at all times during the race.
• Age category tags must be worn (e.g. 40,50,60 etc..) front and back if runners
wish to be eligible for age category prizes.

The race is held under the rules of provincial and national sports associations, the ASA and WPA. International athletes must provide a clearance letter
from their country of origin to the referee in the event of them winning a prize. Participants in the JP21 MPTitans Half-marathon, 10km and the Fun Run and
related activities (“the Event”) acknowledge that although all precautions have been taken by the organising body, there may be dangers inherent in
participation in the Event. Participants voluntarily assume such risks and waive all claims of whatsoever nature and howsoever arising in relation to the
Event against any parties, including but not limited to the organising body, sponsors, advertisers, local authorities, directors, employees and suppliers of
these parties and any individual, official, marshal or agent (”the Parties“). Participants irrevocably indemnify the Parties against any liability or claims of any
nature whatsoever and howsoever arising (whether directly or indirectly, whether from negligence, albeit gross and/or from involvement in or passage to or
from the Event ), including but not limited to liability or delay, inconvenience, accident, death, injury, illness to their person, or loss of or damage to property or
costs and expenses sustained, incurred or put to by Participants and/or by a minor child under the care or control of participants. Parents or guardians authorising
a minor’s participation in the event hereby consent to such minor not being capable of waiving his/her rights as stipulated above.
