Sandra McColgan reported a fire started near the electrical meter box. The fire was extinguished by the fire department. THEFT: Employees of Gymboree Outlet, Tanger Mall reported two females departed the business with merchandise without making payment for the items. DOMESTIC VIOLENCE: Deputies responded to a report of a Domestic Violence incident. Upon interviewing the involved parties and witness’s it was determined that Amanda Bryan, Jeffersonville had been assaulted by a known subject. Brian Landenburg was arrested this charge and transported to the Fayette Co. Jail. 08-29-16 TRAFFIC CRASH: The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a single vehicle fatality traffic crash that occurred Monday afternoon on U.S. #62NE near the intersection of CookYankeetown Road in Madison Township. The crash, reported at 4:22 p.m., claimed the life of David A. Miller, Age 59 of Mount Sterling, Ohio. According to Sheriff Vernon Stanforth, Miller was operating a 2006 Harley-Davidson Sportster motorcycle southbound on U.S. #62NE and lost control of the vehicle. Miller traveled off the right side of the roadway into the ditch where the vehicle struck a large stone protruding from the ground. Miller was ejected and the vehicle came to rest in the southbound lane of U.S. #62NE. Miller was pronounced dead at the scene by Fayette County Coroner Dr. Dennis Mesker. The vehicle sustained disabling damage in the crash and was towed from the scene. Members of the Sheriff’s Traffic Crash Reconstruction Unit responded to the scene to assist in the crash investigation. Other agencies assisting at the scene were Fayette County EMS, Tri-County Joint Fire District, Tri-County EMS, and the Ohio Department of Transportation. The crash remains under investigation. TRAFFIC CRASH: Judith Leeth, Hillsboro, was traveling northbound on US 62 when she found her vehicles brakes were not slowing the vehicle. She was able to slow and turn into the lot of Community Sanitation of Ohio, where the vehicle traveled through the rear yard of the business and into a tree line where it came to rest in a drainage ditch. Upon checking the vehicle Deputies observed a leak in a rear break line. The vehicle was towed from the scene. Neither Leeth nor her passenger sustained any injury in this crash. 08-28-16 DRUG ABUSE: Deputies and EMS responded to a residence on a report of a male subject in a medical emergency. Upon making contact with the subject family members advised he had admitted to using Methamphetamines. He was transported to the Fayette Memorial Hospital ER by EMS for further treatment. DOMESTIC DISPUTE: Sheriff’s deputies responded to Joanne Dr on a domestic incident. Upon arrival all parties involved were identified and it was determined that no assault or threats had occurred. TRAFFIC CRASH: Chrissa Mason of Washington CH was traveling north on US 62 and lost control of her vehicle. Mason traveled off the left side of the roadway into a corn field. No injuries were reported. Mason was cited for Failure to Control. THEFT / BURGLARY: Cary Mann, Washington CH reported his residence was entered and property was removed. FIRE: Madison Stacy, New Holland was driving her 2009 Dodge Journey on US 22 near SR 753, she observed sparks and smoke coming from the dash of the vehicle. Flames soon erupted. She parked the vehicle on the side of the road. Washington CH Fire Department responded and extinguished the fire; however the vehicle was a total loss and was towed from the scene. 08-27-16 WANTED PERSON/OBSTRUCTING OFFICIAL BUSINESS: Sheriff’s deputies received a complaint of a wanted person on Linden Ave. Deputies made contact with a female at the residence who advise the male wanted male subject was not at the residence. Upon a search of the residence the male subject was located inside and placed under arrest. Grant StClair and Lindsey Rader was arrested and transported to Fayette County Jail. THEFT: Bryant Ag Enterprise reports person(s) unknown removed a mower from the property without consent. DOMESTIC DISPUTE: Deputies responded to a domestic incident in Good Hope. Upon arriving and interviewing both parties, they reported no physical altercation and no threats of harm. ILLEGAL CONVEYANCE OF DRUGS OF ABUSE INTO A DETENTION FACILITY / DRUG ABUSE: During a search of a cell in the Fayette Co Jail a quantity of suspected drugs was located in the cell. The incident remains under investigation. TRAFFIC CRASH: Bryan Buck of Cedar City, UT reported he was attempting to make a left turn on the lot of the Travel Centers of America when the trailer of his semi, struck the tractor of a parked semi. Both vehicles sustained minor damage. TRAFFIC CRASH – David Garland, Linden, NC reported he was attempting to back his semitractor trailer into a parking space, when he struck the tractor that was parked in the adjacent parking space. Both vehicles sustained minor damage. 08-26-16 TRAFFIC CRASH: Noe Echeverria, Weslaco, TX reports he was traveling east bound on the lot of the Flying J Truck Stop, when the trailer of his semi-tractor trailer unit struck a concrete barrier causing the barrier to fall over striking the trailer parked on the other side. Both trailer sustained minor damage. TRAFFIC CRASH: Jackie Cydrus, Chillicothe, reports that she was west bound on the lot of YUSA, when Michael Heath, of Bainbrige attempted to pull from a parking space. Mr. Heath failed to observe Ms. Cydrus’ approaching and struck her in the right side as she passed in front of him. Both vehicle sustained damage, but were driven from the scene. TRAFFIC CRASH: Deputies responded to a reported one vehicle motorcycle crash on Old US 35 near SR 753. Michael Stone, of Washington CH was east bound an failed to negotiate a right hand curve, traveling off the left side of the roadway and into loose stone where he lost control of the vehicle as it slid in the stone. Stone was ejected from the motorcycle and was transported to the Fayette Co. Memorial Hospital by EMS for treatment of injuries. THEFT: Tommy Hilfiger reports person(s) unknown entered the business obtained merchandise and departed without making payment. DOMESTIC DISPUTE: Sheriff’s deputies responded to Miami Trace Rd on reports of a domestic complaint. Upon arrival all parties involved were identified and it was determined that no assault or threats had occurred. 08-25-16 TRAFFIC CRASH: Darwin Espinal, Houston, TX was north bound on Allen Rd, and was attempting to turn left into the truck parking area behind the Wendy’s Restaurant, from the center lane. Espinal failed to observe another vehicle driven by Christina Cowgill, of Cincinnati that was traveling in the right lane beside him. Espinal’s semi-tractor struck the left rear side of Cowgill’s vehicle, causing functional damage to the vehicle. TRAFFIC CRASH: Deputies responded to a report of a one vehicle crash on Old US 35. Deputies determined that Rachael Peacock, of Waynesville, Oh was east bound on Old US 35 when she traveled off the left side of the road and into a standing corn field. Upon making contact with Ms. Peacock she was found to be under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol. Peacock was charged with Failure to Control and OVI. THEFT: Chad Robertson of Wentzville, MO reported while parked on the parking lot near Waffle House person(s) unknown removed fuel from his vehicle. TELEPHONE HARRASSMENT: Jason Cunningham reported receiving unwanted texts from known subject. ILEGAL MANUFACTURE OF DRUGS/DRUG PARAPHERNALIA: Sheriff’s deputies responded to Walnut Lake Campground with probation officers from Greene County for a probation search. During the search items for manufacturing methamphetamines and drug paraphernalia was located. 08-24-16 UNRULY JUVENILE: A 16 year old male allegedly fled a residence while visiting family in Bloomingburg. The child was later located in the village and turned over to his father who declined charges in this matter. DOMESTIC DISPUTE: A dispute was reported between a female and her adult son. DRUG ABUSE: Deputies and EMS were dispatched on a reported overdose. Upon their arrival the patient was found to be unresponsive. After the administration of Narcan, the subject was transported to the Fayette Co. Memorial Hospital. DRUG PARAPHERNALIA: While performing a clean-up detail outside the Fayette Co. Sheriff’s Office a discarded marijuana pipe was located in a cigarette butt receptacle UNRULY: A 17 y/o female reportedly departed the residence without permission. The juvenile was located and returned to the residence. THEFT/POSSESSION OF DRUG ABUSE INSTRUMENTS: Sheriff’s deputies responded to a theft complaint at Tanger Outlet Mall. Deputies located the vehicle on IR 71. During an inventory search of the vehicle prior to tow a syringe was located inside the vehicle. Robert J, Elkins of Washington CH was arrested and charged in the matter. TRAFFIC CRASH: Charles Cadamy of Washington CH was traveling north on SR 41 and proceeded to pass another vehicle traveling north and lost control of his vehicle. Cadamy traveled off the left side of the roadway striking a utility pole. No injuries were reported. The vehicle sustained heavy damage in the crash and was towed from the scene. Cadamy was cited for Failure to Control. 08-23-16 TRAFFIC CRASH: Erin Oberlander of Hilliard, OH was traveling east on SR 435. Oberlander was stopped attempting to make a left turn onto the IR 71 north entrance ramp. Oberlander failed to Yield for yield for vehicle traveling west on SR 435 operated by Sidney Robertston of London, OH causing a collision. No injuries were reported. Both vehicles were towed from the scene with moderate damage. Oberlander was cited for Failure to Yield. THEFT: Gerald Cox of Washington CH reported person(s) unknown removed a window air conditioner from a rental property. BURGLARY: Charlene Tressler, Jeffersonville reported someone forcibly entered her residence, however nothing was taken. 08-22-16 ILLEGAL ASSEMPBLY: Deputies were dispatched to the 4000 block of U.S 22 east on a complaint of narcotics use. A non-active one pot meth lab was located at the property. Investigation is pending. DRUG PARAPHERNALIA: A vehicle was stopped on I-71 near mile post 65 for a traffic violation. Upon indication with K-9 a marihuana pipe was located on a passenger in the vehicle. Shelly Howard was cited in the incident. DISORERLY CONDUCT: A fight was reported at the Loves truck stop in Jeffersonville, Ohio. Upon the completion of the investigation it was determined that no injuries occurred. CIVIL: A resident of Washington CH reported she had contracted with John Todd Stritenberger, of JTS Contracting, Washington CH, to perform repairs and remodeling to her residence. She stated she has paid him money since the initial contract in February of 2015 and the work still has not yet been completed. UNRULY JUVENILE / UNAUTORIZED USE OF A MOTOR VEHICLE: A 16 year old female ran away from home and took her grandparent’s vehicle. The parents and grandparents have declined charges at this time WANTED FUGITIVE / ILLEGAL CONVEYANCE OF DRUGS OF ABUSE INTO A DETENTON FACILITY / DRUG ABUSE: A known wanted person was observed by a Deputy Sheriff traveling on US 62, a traffic stop was conducted, during which KingRobert Dillard, of Dayton was arrested on an outstanding warrant. He was subsequently transported to the Fayette Co. Jail. During the booking process it was determined that Mr. Dillard had a quantity of drugs secreted in his rectum. Later the drugs were recovered. CRIMINAL TRESPASS: Michelle Jackson, Washington CH reported while at her family’s business she located a known subject, Grant St. Clair, Washington CH, hiding in a vehicle. St. Clair departed the business prior to the arrival of Deputies. Jackson stated St. Clair does not have permission to be on the property and requested that charges be filed. ASSIST ANOTHER AGENCY: Members of that Sheriff’s Crash Reconstruction Team was requested by the Washington CH Police Department to assist in the investigation of a one vehicle motorcycle crash on Lakeview Ave. TRAFFIC CRASH/HIT SKIP: Person(s) unknown were traveling north on Sollars Rd. Person(s) unknown traveled off the left side of the roadway striking a guardrail. Person(s) unknown departed the scene of the crash. DOG BITE: Courtney Cline of Washington CH reports after getting off the bus and walking to her residence her juvenile son was bitten by a dog. AGGRAVATED MENACING: Damon Green of Washington C.H., Ohio reported a known female made threats to harm him. THEFT: Employees of the Children’s Place Outlet in Jeffersonville, Ohio reported an unknown male and female entered the store and concealed items before departing the store. TRAFFIC CRASH: Jeffery Blanton of Mt. Sterling, Ohio was traveling southbound in the 8000 block of Washington –Waterloo Rd and struck a dog in the roadway. No injuries were reported. The vehicle sustained minor damage. 08-20-16 THEFT: Julie Boblick of Marysville, OH reported while at the Fairgrounds person(s) unknown entered her vehicle and removed prescription medication. THEFT: Employees of Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory in Jeffersonville, Ohio reported that person(s) unknown removed a 4 foot stuffed bear from the store. THEFT: Douglas Bobo of Paris, TN reported that while he was at the Fayette County Fairgrounds person(s) unknown removed medication from his vehicle. MENACING: Karla Pryor of Greenfield, Ohio reported that a known male juvenile yelled profanity and made threats as he passed a residence she was at. 08-19-16 POSSESSION OF DRUG ABUSE INSTRUMENTS / DRUG PARAPHERNALIA / DRUG ABUSE: Deputies responded to the parking lot of Jackpots Gaming on a report of an intoxicated person. Upon arriving Deputies located Shannon Noel, of Washington CH, passed out in a vehicle. Upon awaking him, Noel was obviously under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Additionally, a hypodermic syringe and spoon with residue and burn marks were observed on the console of the vehicle. Noel was arrested on these charges and transported to the Fayette Co. Jail. TELECOMMUNICATIONS FRAUD: A third party company contacted a Washington C.H., Ohio resident about a debt owed by her, which was actually not a legitimate debt. GAMBLING/THEFT: Daniel Mart of Mt Pleasant, IA reported while at the Travel Centers of America he was awakened by an unknown subject advising a male subject had won a lot of money at a casino and was giving money away. Mart advised he made contact and subjects asked him to join a game of chance. Mart then displayed money from his wallet and a unknown male subject grabbed the money and departed. CRIMINAL TRESPASS: Old Navy reported a known subject advised not to be on the premises was seen on camera inside the business. THEFT: Theresa Sayre of Bloomingburg, Ohio reported a known person removed a Kindle Fire tablet from her residence. Investigation is pending. THEFT: Employees at Tommy Hilfiger Outlet in Jeffersonville, Ohio reported two unknown males set off the security sensors as they left. The two males then departed the area with an undetermined amount of merchandise. 08-18-16 TRAFFIC CRASH: Dustin Leisure of Washington C.H., Ohio was traveling eastbound on West Rd while fleeing from law enforcement. Leisure lost control while negotiating a curve traveling off the left side of the roadway then back onto the roadway traveling off the right side. Leisure vehicle then came to a rest in the cornfield. Leisure and an occupant were transported to Fayette County Memorial for treatment of their injuries. The vehicle sustained heavy damage. Charges are pending a further investigation. DOMESTIC DISPUTE: Deputies were dispatched to the 3000 block of Washington Waterloo Rd on a domestic incident. Upon the completion of their investigation it was determined that no violence or threats of violence occurred. CRIMINAL TRESPASS: John Barnett, Washington CH reported a known person came into his business and created a disturbance. After being told to depart she returned to the business a second time. She was contacted by the Deputy and informed not to return to the business. DOMESTIC DISPUTE: Deputies were dispatched to a report of a domestic dispute in the Village of Jeffersonville. Upon making contact with the male and female, neither party reported any physical altercation or threats of harm. BURGLARY / THEFT: Pamela Wilson, Bloomingburg reported someone entered her residence and removed property. ASSAULT: Derrick Stires, Jeffersonville reported he was assaulted by a known subject. The incident remains under investigation. MENACING BY STALKING: Teshia Johnson, Jeffersonville reported a former co-worker showed up at her residence uninvited and she states that she had not given him her address. Deputies attempted to contact the subject by telephone without success to inform him to cease contact. 08-17-16 CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: Employees of the Jeffersonville Library reported a 12 year old male juvenile threw a plastic bottle at one of the windows of the library. The juvenile and his mother were contacted and advised of the complaint. 08-16-16 DOMESTIC DISPUTE: A verbal dispute was reported between male and female. No altercation or threats were deemed to have occurred. ROBBERY: Britain Hawk, Jeffersonville reported he was robbed of property in the parking lot of the Tanger Mall by several subjects. The suspects departed prior to the arrival of Deputies. TRAFFIC CRASH: Deputies, EMS and Concord-Green Fire Department responded to a one vehicle crash on US 62 in the village of Staunton. A vehicle owned by Nicole Thatcher, of Washington CH was south bound on US 62 and failed to negotiate a right hand curve and traveled off the left side of the roadway where it struck a fence and DPL utility pole. The driver of the vehicle fled the scene on foot and at this time is still unknown. TRAFFIC CRASH: Ian Trafz, of Greenfield was north bound on SR 41 when a deer entered his lane of travel and was subsequently struck. Trafz’ vehicle sustained functional damage and was removed by a private tow truck. TELECOMMUNCATIONS FRAUD: Chip Bumpus, Washington CH reported one of his employees received an email that appeared to be from Bumpus directing her to wire transfer money to an account in Texas. The employee completed the transfer and notified Bumpus the transfer had been made, at which time he stated he did not authorize any such transfer. The transfer was cancelled before the funds could be withdrawn. THEFT: Jessica Wood, New Holland reported over the past several days property has been removed from her residence without her permission. THEFT: Chris Hoover, Washington CH reported overnight property was removed from his residence without his permission. THEFT: Tommy Hilfiger reported person(s) unknown entered the business and departed with merchandise without making payment. FORGERY: Benjamin Keller of Greenfield, OH reported person(s) unknown forged a signature on several checks belonging to him. 08-15-16 TRAFFIC CRASH: Heather Theibert, Sabina was east bound on US 35 when she lost control of her vehicle on the rain covered roadway. She traveled off the right side of the roadway, through the perimeter fence and into a ditch where the vehicle overturned. Theibert was cited for Failure to Control. TRAFFIC CRASH: Jorge Pulido of Washington CH was traveling west on Old US 35 and lost control of his vehicle. Pulido traveled off the left side of the roadway striking a utility pole. No injuries were reported. Pulido was cited for Failure to Control. DOMESTIC DISPUTE: Sheriff’s deputies responded to Walnut St in the Village of Jeffersonville on a domestic incident. Upon arrival all parties were identified and it was determined that no assault or threats had occurred. PURSUIT: Two Montgomery County men were arrested late Sunday evening after leading deputies on a chase that started in Washington Court House and ended in the Village of Leesburg in Highland County. According to Sheriff Vernon Stanforth, Deputy Adam Rummer initiated a traffic stop on Sunday evening at 11:11 p.m. on Temple Street near N. Main Street in Washington Court House after observing traffic violations. The vehicle, a 2007 Lincoln MK4 was being operated by a subject identified as Richard C. Armstrong, Age 32 of Dayton, Ohio. During the traffic stop, a clear plastic baggie was observed in the passenger door of the vehicle, according to Rummer. The passenger in the vehicle was identified as Jerry L. Walther, Age 57 of Dayton, Ohio. Deputy Rummer indicated that upon attempting to retrieve the baggie, Armstrong reportedly placed the vehicle in drive and fled at a high rate of speed with Deputy Rummer and other sheriff’s deputies giving chase on Eyman Park Drive towards the Lakeview Avenue area. During the chase, Deputy Rummer indicated observing items being discarded from the vehicle. The pursuit continued to the center of town and went west on Court Street and onto Leesburg Avenue before turning onto the US 35 West access road. The Washington Court House Police Department assisted during the chase until the suspect vehicle departed the Washington Court House city limits. The suspect vehicle continued to US 22 West and started traveling westbound before abruptly turning to an eastbound direction. During this time, the suspect vehicle and a sheriff’s cruiser collided causing minor damage to both vehicles. The pursuit continued with the suspect vehicle crossing the US 35 East access road and before turning south on US 62 toward the Village of Staunton. The chase continued south on US 62 and entered Highland County where members of the Highland County Sheriff’s Office, the Leesburg Police Department, and Ohio State Highway Patrol were set-up with “stop sticks”. The suspect vehicle came to a stop on SR 28 & US 62 in the Village of Leesburg where Armstrong and Walther were both taken into custody. Deputy Jason Havens and K-9 “Dexi” responded to the area where the items were discarded from the suspect vehicle and subsequently located a substance presumptively identified as cocaine. During the inventory of the vehicle, additional substances presumptively identified as cocaine, heroin, and clonazepam tablets were recovered. The vehicle, registered to Mr. Walther was impounded by the Sheriff’s Office. Walther was charged with Drug Abuse (F5), Tampering with Evidence (F3), and Drug Abuse (M1). Armstrong was charged with Failure to Comply with the Signal/Order of the Police Officer (F3), Tampering with Evidence (F3), Drug Abuse (F5), Drug Abuse (M1), and Driving under Suspension. Both were transported to the Fayette County Jail where they were incarcerated in lieu of bond. TRAFFIC CRASH / OVI: Deputies, EMS and Washington FD responded to a one vehicle rollover crash on SR 38 at Cargill Elevator. Upon interviewing the driver, Bruce Stolsenberg, Washington CH it was determined that he had traveled off the right side of the roadway, into a ditch where he struck a fire hydrant, causing the vehicle to roll over. Stolsenberg declined transport to the ER. Stolsenberg was found to be under the influence of alcohol and was arrested and transported the Fayette Co. Jail, where he was cited for OVI and Failure to Control. TRAFFIC CRASH: Linda Morgan, Washington CH was east bound on Old US 35 when she reached for her phone in the vehicle and traveled off the right side of the roadway where she struck two mail boxes. Morgan’s vehicle sustained minor damage. Morgan was cited for Failure to Control. TRAFFIC CRASH: Nathan Dawson, Philadelphia, PA parked his semi-truck on the lot of the Flying J Truck Stop. However, he did not set the parking break and the truck rolled down hill striking two other trucks parked on the lot. CRIMINAL DAMAGING: Deputies responded to a report of a vehicle driving through a bean field. Upon arriving the vehicle was located abandoned in the field. The vehicle was associated with a 15 year old male juvenile run-a-way from Clinton Co. The vehicle was driven from the field and towed from the scene. Damage was sustained to the bean crop owned by Ted Craig, of Washington CH. THEFT: Employees of Polo-Ralph Lauren, Tanger Mall reported a subject removed several items of merchandise from the store without paying for the items. UNRULY JUVENILE: A 17 year old female departed the residence without permission. The child was located at a residence in Washington CH and returned to the home. The mother declined charges at this time. TRAFFIC CRASH: Jermeiah Oyer, Greenfield reported he was east bound on Jamison Rd, when he traveled off the right side of the roadway striking a mail box. Minor damage was observed on the mail box, there was no damage to Oyer’s vehicle. THEFT: Kathy Dudley, Washington CH reported someone removed two concrete flower urns and a concrete angel figure from a grave site at Highlawn Cemetery. 08-14-16 TRAFFIC CRASH: Ross Horney, Mt. Sterling was north bound on SR 207 when he crested a knoll and found a pickup truck parked partially in the roadway. Horney attempted to avoid the parked vehicle, however the mirror of his truck struck the mirror of the parked truck, that was operated by Daryl Spergin, of Washington CH. Spergin claimed his vehicle was not parked in the roadway. Due to conflicting statements no citation was issued. TRAFFIC CRASH: Mark McKinley, of Portland, IN was east bound on US 35 near Harmony Rd, when he lost control of his vehicle in heavy rain. The vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway, through the perimeter fence and into a waterway. McKinley’s vehicle sustained functional damage and was towed from the scene. McKinley was cited for Failure to Control. TRAFFIC CRASH: Kendra Cremeans, Albany, Oh reported her 15 year old daughter was attempting to back from a parking space at the Tanger Mall when she struck a vehicle parked next to her. The other vehicle was owned by PV Holdings Co, of Columbus, Oh. Both vehicles sustained minor damage. TRAFFIC CRASH: Kandyce Smallwood, Hamilton, Oh reported she was backing from a parking space at the Tanger Mall, when another vehicle backed out of parking space on the other side of the isleway. The other vehicle struck Smallwood’s vehicle in the left side. The second vehicle departed after admitting they did not have insurance. MENACING: Gregory Cox, Jeffersonville reported he received a threatening telephone call from a known person. He declined charges at this time. TRAFFIC CRASH: Becca Jo McCready, of Wooster, Oh reported she was south bound on I-71 near the 74 mm when she traveled off the left side of the roadway into the median. She then over corrected, returned to the roadway and traveled off the right side of the roadway and into the ditch. The vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene. McCready was cited for Failure to Control. THEFT: Mary Ellen Elkins, Washington CH reported property was removed from her residence by persons unknown. 08-13-16 CRIMINAL DAMAGING: Roberta Dunn, Washington CH reported her vehicle was damaged by Durant Peters. Peters was arrested and transported to the Fayette Co. Jail on this charge. SEXUAL IMPOSITION: Deputies took a report on a possible juvenile involved in a sexual abuse case. BREAKING & ENTERING/THEFT: Joyce Miller of Bloomingburg reported person(s) unknown entered the garage at her residence and removed a lawn mower. DOMESTIC VIOLENCE: Sheriff’s deputies responded to the Flying J on reports of a possible domestic incident. Upon arrival contact was made with both parties involved. During the investigation the male involved party had struck him in the face. Brittany Martin of Mars Hill, NC was arrested and transported to Fayette County Jail. TRAFFIC CRASH: Abdel Toure of Cincinnati, OH was traveling north on IR 71 and lost control of his vehicle. Toure traveled off the right side of the roadway striking a guardrail. Toure continued into the ditch of the roadway striking a fence. Toure declined medical treatment at the scene. Toure was issued a citation for Failure to Control. 08-12-16 CPO SERVICE: A protection order was served in the 100 block of W. Temple St. Washington C.H., Ohio. 08-11-16 CIVIL: Dean Snyder of Bloomingburg, Ohio stated an unknown male arrived and demanded him return the golf cart in his yard. Snyder reported that the male departed a short time later without incident. DOMESTIC VIOLENCE: Amanda Brewer-Skeens, Bloomingburg reported she was assaulted by her live-in boyfriend, Charles Boyer and that he threatened to burn down her residence. A warrant was issued for his arrest on this charge. He was located and brought to the Fayette County Jail. CRIMINAL TRESPASS / CRIMINAL DAMAGING / THEFT: Nancy Tackett, Bloomingburg reported someone kicked her front door open during the night, but that she immediately yelled at the subject, who departed. 08-10-16 DOMESTIC VIOLENCE: Meghann Gallagher, Jeffersonville, reported her live-in boyfriend, Jason Cunningham, threatened to cause physical harm to her 8 year old son. Gallagher requested that charges be filed and Cunningham was arrested on this charge. UNRULY JUVENILES: Deputies responded to the Ranch of Opportunity on a report of three female juvenile client being missing from the Ranch. A search of the area did not locate the juveniles. All three were entered into LEADS as missing/run-away from the Ranch and later were located. ASSAULT: Belinda Lorenzo and Caron Foster, employees of the Ranch of Opportunity reported that they were assaulted by a 15 year old female juvenile resident at the Ranch. Charges were forwarded to Juvenile Court. CRIMINAL TRESPASS/THEFT: Mike Clements of Washington CH reports person(s) unknown entered onto his property and removed items. 08-09-16 TRAFFIC CRASH: Kenneth Hellenthal of Washington C.H., Ohio was traveling northbound on Route 753 near Ghormley Rd and struck a deer in the roadway. No injuries were reported. The vehicle sustained minor damage. BREAKING & ENTERING / THEFT: Margaret McLaughlin of Washington CH reported someone removed an air conditioner condenser unit from her residence in Staunton. AGGRAVATED MENACING: Jennifer Luman of Washington CH reported she received a phone call from a male subject threatening her. Luman requested a report be made on the incident. MENACING: Todd Cottrell of Washington CH reported being threatened by a known subject. TRAFFIC CRASH: Chelsea Savraves of Mt Sterling was traveling south on Danville Rd and struck Dustin Quinlan of Bloomingburg while operating his bicycle traveling north on Danville Rd. Quinaln was transported to a medical facility for treatment of injuries. 08-08-16 DOMESTIC DISPUTE: Deputies responded to a verbal dispute. Neither party reported any threats or physical altercation. The male departed the residence without any further incident. BURGLARY / THEFT / CRIMINAL DAMAGING: Mary Cockerill, Washington CH reported someone forced entry to her residence and removed property. CIVIL: A custody dispute was reported when a child was not returned after a scheduled visitation as agreed upon. The caller was referred to his attorney for further action through the Juvenile / Domestic Relations Court. UNRULY CHILD: An 11 year old female was reported to be unruly. The child was counseled and the mother declined charges at this time. 08-07-16 MENACING: Jennifer Luman, Washington CH reported she has been receiving numerous calls from a known male. Luman declined to pursue charges in this matter. TRAFFIC CRASH: John Landreth, Lawsonville, NC reported while backing his semi-truck into a parking space at the TA Truck Stop his trailer stuck a parked semi causing damage to the other truck. CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: Hali Harding of Jeffersonville reported person(s) unknown moved her satellite dish out of alignment. BURGLARY/THEFT: Marilyn Johnson of Washington CH reported person(s) unknown entered her residence and removed items from inside. 08-06-16 POSSESSION OF DRUG ABUSE INSTRUMENT / DRUG ABUSE / DRUG PARAPHERNALIA: Deputies responded with EMS on a report of an unresponsive female. Upon arriving at the scene a syringe, and other drug paraphernalia was located near the female. The items were collected and placed into evidence. MENACING: Donald Suttles of Washington CH reported he was threatened with physical harm by a known female. Michelle Gill of Washington CH was charged in the matter. BREAKING & ENTERING/THEFT: Quali-Tee Design reported person(s) unknown entered the business causing damage to a window removing items from inside. 08-05-16 THEFT: The Village of Bloomingburg reported person(s) unknown removed several street signs from the streets in the village. CRIMINAL DAMAGING: Brandon Nicklas of Bloomingburg reported sometime overnight person(s) unknown caused damage to the windshield of his vehicle. ASSAULT: Amber Ellison of Jeffersonville reported her juvenile daughter was assaulted by a neighbor. Ellison refused prosecution in the matter. TRAFFIC CRASH: Charles Neel of Washington CH was traveling north on the access road to US 22. Neel stopped at the intersection and proceed to cross the intersection failing to yield for a vehicle traveling east on US 22 operated by Kristen Juillerat of Hillsboro, OH causing a collision. Both Neel and Juillerat were transported to a medical facility for treatment of injuries. Neel was cited for Failure to Yield. THEFT: Jaquan Robinson, Washington CH reported someone removed property from outside his residence without permission. 08-04-16 DOMESTIC DISPUTE: Two New Holland residents were reported to be in a verbal dispute. Neither party reported any physical altercation or threats of violence. The male departed without further incident. ASSAULT: Kelly Turnmire, of Waverly, a former employee of the Ranch of Opportunity reported she was assaulted by a female juvenile at the Ranch on July 20th, 2016. CRIMINAL TRESPASS / THEFT: Anthony Wilson, Washington CH reported someone removed property from a shed at his residence without permission. CRIMINAL TRESPASS / THEFT: James Brannon, Washington CH reported someone removed a vehicle part from his shop on US22 W, without permission. 08-03-16 PROTECTION ORDER SERVICE: Deputies made service of a Civil Protection Order to a respondent listed in a CPO pursuant to Court Order. TRAFFIC CRASH: Kevin Jones, of Gadsden, AL reported while his semi-truck was parked on the lot of the TA Truck Stop another unknown vehicle struck his truck and departed. TRAFFIC CRASH: Karen Gamble, of West Liberty, Oh was west bound on US 35 near the 8 mile marker when a deer entered her lane of travel and was struck. Gamble’s vehicle sustained minor damage and was driven from the scene. ASSAULT: Zijad Sulejmanovic, of Lawrenceville, GA reported he was assaulted by an unknown subject at the Love’s Truck Stop. The suspect departed the area prior to the deputy’s arrival. DRUG PARAPHERNALIA/IMPROPER HANDLING A FIREARM IN A MOTOR VEHICLE/UNAUTHORIZED USE OF MOTOR VEHICLE: Sheriff’s deputies responded to the Village of Bloomingburg on reports of a suspicious vehicle. Deputies locate a vehicle parked in the roadway and made contact with the occupants. During a search of the occupant drug paraphernalia was located. After a search of the vehicle was conducted a loaded firearm was located inside the vehicle. It was later discovered that the vehicle was taken without consent of the owner. Bradley Carr of Washington CH was arrested and charged in the matter. TRAFFIC CRASH: Isrial Allazov, Dayton, Ohio was attempting to make a right hand turn on the lot of the Loves Truck Stop, when his trailer tracked into a parked semi- truck, occupied by Vasilii Semeniuc, of Auburn, WA. Semeniuc’s vehicle sustained functional damage and Allazov was cited for failure to control. FOUND PROPERTY: Lindsey Windam, employee of Tanger Mall reported a credit card had been found at the mall and it was surrendered to the Sheriff’s Office for safe keeping. LOST PROPERTY: Monica Shipley, New Holland reported during a move in June of this year from another state a box of personal property was taken from an open trailer or fell off the trailer. TRAFFIC CRASH: Ashley Knisley, Washington CH reported while her vehicle was parked in the driveway of her residence it was struck by an unknown vehicle that departed without making contact with her. Minor damage was observed on Knisley’s vehicle. 08-02-16 AGGRAVATED BURGLARY / ASSAULT / CRIMINAL DAMAGING: A Bloomingburg resident reported a known male forcibly entered her residence by breaking out a window and window air conditioner. Upon entering the residence he began physically assaulting a male subject inside the residence. The suspect was struck several times and subdued him until deputies arrived. He was then transported to Grant Hospital for treatment of his injuries. UNRULY JUVENILE: A 16 year male was reported to have run away from home overnight. The child was subsequently located and transported to JDC. CULTIVATION OF MARIJUANA: While deputies were conducting follow-up on Old Route 35 a marijuana plant was located on the property. Tony Peterman of Washington C.H., Ohio was charged in the incident. CRIMINAL DAMAGING: Peggy Moore of Bloomingburg, Ohio reported person(s) unknown threw a rock causing damage to her windshield of her vehicle. TELEPHONE HARASSMENT: Tiffany Diehl of Washington C.H., Ohio reported receiving unwanted calls from a known male and known female. Diehl was referred to the solicitor. TRAFFIC CRASH: Thomas Cox of Washington C.H., Ohio was traveling westbound on U.S. 35 near Route 435 when he struck a coyote in the roadway. Cox vehicle sustained minor damage. No injuries were reported. TRAFFIC CRASH: Christopher Geisler of Winchester, Ohio was traveling northbound on I-71 near milepost 71 when Geisler struck two boards in the roadway. Geisler vehicle sustained minor damage. No injuries were reported. CULTIVATION OF MARIJUANA: Deputies received a complaint of marijuana growing on a vacant property. The plants were located seized. TRAFFIC CRASH: Betty Searcy of Louisville, KY was exiting IR 71 north to SR 41. Searcy proceeded to cross SR 41 failing to yield for a vehicle traveling north on SR 41 operated by Randall Butcher of McArthur, OH causing a collision. No injuries were reported. Searcy was cited for Failure to Yield. TRAFFIC CRASH: Jeffery Nichols, Plain City, Ohio reported he was traveling on Inskeep Rd. when the boom crane on his truck extended without his knowledge. The boom then snagged the DP&L and TimeWarner Cable service drops to four residences on Inskeep Rd. Both DP&L and TimeWarner were advised of the damage. WELFARE CHECK: Deputies were dispatched on a welfare check of a 10 year old male child. Upon making contact with the father at the residence, he stated that the grandfather had disciplined the child by spanking the child on the buttocks. The child was checked and there were no marks or bruising on the child. The complainant was informed of the findings of the Deputy. TRAFFIC CRASH: Christopher Geisler, of Canal Winchester, reported he was north bound on I71 near the 71 mm, when he struck two wooden boards lying in the roadway. The impact caused damage to both front tires of his vehicle. 08-01-16 CRIMINAL DAMAGING: Joseph Edwards of Bloomingburg, Ohio reported person(s) unknown damaged the windshield of his vehicle. CRIMINAL DAMAGING: Sharon Routzohn of Bloomingburg, Ohio reported person(s) unknown broke both side view mirrors on her vehicle. ANIMAL COMPLAINT: Deputies responded to the Tanger Mall on a report of several dogs left in a vehicle in the parking lot. Upon arrival the windows of the vehicle were down and the vehicle was unlocked. The animals were removed from the vehicle and a short time later the owner returned to the vehicle. The owner, Katurah Hansen, of Dublin, Oh, was counseled concerning this situation and the animals were returned to her and she departed the mall. DOMESTIC DISPUTE: A verbal argument between family members was reported. No physical altercation or threats were alleged to have had occurred. DOMESTIC DISPUTE: A male and female were reported to be in a verbal argument. When told to leave the residence the male refused. Upon the arrival of the deputy, however, he had already departed. The female denied any physical altercation or threats of harm. TRAFFIC CRASH: Mark Roberts, of New Holland reported he was west bound on Madison Rd, when a horse entered his lane of travel and was subsequently struck. The horse was determined to be owned by Chessie Ratliff, and boarded at Paint Creek Stables. VEHICLE FIRE: Deputies and Concord Green Fire Department responded to a vehicle fire on US 62 at Barger Rd. The vehicle owned by Atlee Arick, of Leesburg was totally destroyed by the fire, which was extinguished by the fire department. BURGLARY / THEFT / CRIMINAL DAMAGING: Neighbors reported observing forced entry to the residence of Virgil Jones, Washington CH. Upon checking with the family of the owner it was determined that various items of property had been removed from the residence. CRIMINAL DAMAGING: Bryan Sowers, Bloomingburg reported overnight someone damaged his vehicle while it was parked outside his residence. TELEPHONE HARASSMENT: A Leesburg resident reported receiving threatening text messages from a known subject. When contact was made with the alleged suspect he also claimed the victim was sending him threatening text messages. Both subjects were directed to cease contact with each other.
