Versailles Bike Tour
Upon arrival in the town of Versailles, we will ride to the famous city market to shop for our picnic supplies (cost not included). Then,
we'll cruise through the Chateau's enormous grounds along a network of fantastic trails and tree-lined paths to visit Marie Antoinette's
Hamlet and both the Petit & Grand Trianons. Next, it's on to our picnic at the end of the Grand Canal where we'll settle down for a
royal feast. After lunch, we'll continue through the grounds and enter the chambers of the Chateau itself. Our bike tour offers you
skip-the-line access to the Chateau to avoid the tremendously long lines. See the room where Marie Antionette's guards were killed as
they protected her from the mob at the beginning of the Revolution. Walk through the breathtaking Hall of Mirrors where King Louis

Skip the line: Behind the Scenes Versailles Tour
After a short train journey to Versailles, you will spend the morning learning the history of the palace while walking in the beautiful
Royal Gardens, your tour timed perfectly to catch the fountain show. Your guide will lead you to the Grand Canal for some free time
where you can have a picnic lunch or visit the local garden cafe (cost of lunch not included). Following lunch, enter the world famous
palace of Versailles through a special side entrance with absolutely no waiting time. While other hallways in the museum are crowded
with thousands of tourists, you will enjoy the serenity of being in the King & Queen's private residence with just our small group. This
area is past the velvet rope line and is inaccessible to the general public. You will explore the fascinating history of life at the royal
court with your Versailles-licensed guide as you are given privileged access to the historic private rooms including Louis XVI's library,
the royal dining hall, the chapel or the opera house, and the luxurious private game room. Of course, you don't want to miss the Hall
of Mirrors; this tour includes access to the public section of the museum also, which you can explore at your own pace.

From the Eiffel Tower (7 minutes)
Walk through the Champ de Mars park away from the Eiffel Tower and the Seine river.
About 200 yards from the Tower you'll come to a street that transects the park and has a fountain in the middle of the street.
Turn right and walk to the large intersection with Avenue de Suffren.
Turn left onto Avenue de Suffren and walk two blocks and then turn right onto rue des Presles.
Walk past the Cuban embassy and turn right onto rue Edgar Faure.
You'll see us directly in front of you.
From the Métro station La Motte-Picquet Grenelle (lines 6, 8, 10) (4 minutes)
All but one of the exits from this Métro station are at the intersection of the streets Avenue de la Motte-Picquet and Blvd. de
Grenelle. There is a McDonald's and a Monoprix grocery store in this intersection.
Find the café named "Bouquet de Grenelle" and walk against traffic on the small street, rue de Pondichéry, that runs along the
side of the café.
Turn right onto the third street (actually count them), just at the back corner of the small park
(the street sign will say Place Dupleix) and walk 50 yards.
Turn left onto rue Edgar Faure.
You'll see us directly in front of you.
From the Métro station Dupleix (line 6) (3 minutes)
This is an elevated station and you must descend to street level to exit the station.
At the bottom of the stairs take the exit to the right and you'll find yourself at an intersection
Cross the intersection onto rue Humblot and walk to the far end of the street (about 200 yards).
Turn left along the side of the park and walk 50 yards. Turn left on rue Edgar Faure.

Payment & Ticketing
Conditions:
Vouchers need to be exchanged locally. The voucher must be handed to your Tour Guide.
We require full payment within 7 days of confirmation. For bookings made within 14 days, full payment is required prior to
confirmation.
Amendments can be made 14 or more days prior to the tours departure date, fees apply.
We also recommend that you take out suitable travel insurance to cover (as a minimum) the costs incurred if you cancel your trip.
