Programme Assistant GRI Regional Hub China
Start Date: ASAP, 40 hours p/w.
Location: Beijing, China
Contract: 1 year initially – extension by mutual consent
Position summary and job purpose
The post holder will be working within the GRI Regional Hub China, reporting to the Manager
of RH China. The post holder assists the line manager and/or colleagues across different teams
of GRI Secretariat and global network in conducting administrative and financial tasks following
instructions and procedures, using excellent planning and organizing skills. In addition, the post
holder establishes excellent corporate and stakeholder relations and provides logistical
support in cases of events and activities.
Job responsibilities
 Administrative and financial tasks of all relevant activities, such as, but not limited to
tracking/administering job related data, accounting documentation, updating (internal)
documents, incoming/outgoing correspondence, organizing logistics for events,
meetings and travel, diary keeping, updating website, maintaining and updating relations
management system (database and CRM);
 Executes, when required, independent desk research (internet or documentation),
conduct market analysis, and contributes to work plans that engage corporate and
stakeholder partnerships in the Greater China Region;
 Develop and maintain an updated corporate contacts database;
 Assist to create new content and materials as needed;
 Other duties as required.
Key competencies / Requirements
 Minimum of Bachelors' degree in related field required, and advanced degree is a plus;
 Preferably with work experience in project coordination or similar activities within the
field of CSR, sustainability, Corporate Relations and/or Public Relations
 Proven ability in building and maintaining relationship networks
 Proven ability to create content (writing skills)
 Native speaker level of written and spoken English with excellent communication skills
 Detail and results oriented, ability to handle multiple tasks and work on precise
timelines
 Self-motivated and able to work independently
 Able to work in an international and multi-cultural setting
 Affinity with the mission and vision of GRI would be an advantage

GRI operates Regional Hubs in Africa, the Greater China Region, North America, Oceania,
Latin America, South Asia and South East Asia. The Regional Hubs help advance reporting at
the country level, respond to the needs of local stakeholders, build capacity and value, and
encourage the flow of knowledge and participation from the regions into GRI’s global network
and activity.
GRI established its Regional Hub China in July 2009 to provide guidance and support to
government, business and non-business communities in alignment with China’s robust
globalization process and emerging leadership role in the international community.
The Regional Hub China works to achieve the following core goals:

reporting to ensure that it becomes standard practice in the Greater China Region.

in the Greater China Region.

Channel voices from stakeholders in the Greater China Region into GRI’s global
network, processes and activities.
