The time commitment is from 8:20-8:40 AM. Students may help their parents for the first ten minutes. If you are available, please stop by or call the school office at 532-8355. Gr. K, 1, 4 Thursday, February 23 What to bring: Warm clothing, including boots, snow pants, coat, hat, gloves, long underwear, scarf. Extra gloves and socks in case they get wet. A bag lunch. Bag lunch will be available as a school lunch choice. It will include a turkey sandwich and sides. (Optional) Snow shoes, lip balm. (Grade 5 Only) Swim suit, towel. Pool rules require girl swimmers to wear a one-piece swim suit or a t-shirt over a two-piece suit. Get ready for fun in the snow! ACTIVITIES Animation Club Grades 4 & 5 3:00 – 4:15 6 Tuesdays beginning March 7 Students will combine art and technology to design and produce clay & object animation movies. This includes making clay and object characters, storytelling, building a set, using digital cameras, computers and related software. Each student will bring home a DVD compilation of the group’s completed projects. Clay Club Grades 3, 4 & 5 3:00 – 4:15 6 Thurs. beginning March 9 Students will create works of art using various firing clays. They will further develop skills for hand-building, coiling, sculpture, and clay slab work. Finished work will be glazed and kiln-fired. Permission slips for both art clubs must be returned by Friday, February 17. The JaffreyRindge Inclusive Preschool (JRIP) has an equal number of slots for typically developing children and children with developmental delays (preschoolers with an IEP). Since there are limited spaces, a lottery is held every February and March to fill openings for the next school year.
