PV Rotary Club Meeting Minutes

Present: John Ball, Joe Garcia, Mike Guertin, Ralph Lawrence, Patti Macreading, Linda RekasSloan, Maria Shank, Tarah Warner, Zach Whittenberger and guest Mike Everling.

Finance update: At least $2500 was cleared for the club on the Shamrock Raffle.
Agenda Items:




The District Assembly is on April 1st at Whites of Westport and there’s still time for
anyone to register to attend. It is a membership drive and meet & greet event.
The multi-district conference is April 28th, 29th and 30th – you can attend all or just one
or two days. Please register if you plan on attending.
Tarah attended PETS and discussed what she learned as well as briefly discussed her
plans for the 2017-2018 Rotary Year.
Zach read the thank you letters received from ACOS for the $1300 donation raised
during our bowling event in February as well as a letter from RI Hope reporting on the
winners/placement of the students from RI from their recent competition and for the
support we provide them.
New Business Items:


There will be a fundraiser memorial dinner in memory of Noreen Bourassa to support the
Community Task Force she was involved in – the date is Monday, April 17th and ticket price is
$35. Zach will inquire on how to obtain the tickets for those interested in attending.
Ballots were cast and votes were counted for officers for the upcoming Rotary year:
o Tarah Warner – President
o Craig Levis – Vice President
o Paul Potvin – Treasurer
o Maria Shank – Secretary
o Sargeant in Arms – Joe Garcia
o Foundation Chair – Linda Rekas Sloan


Tarah will schedule a meeting with all officers elected to review and discuss roles and
responsibilities.
The 4th and final Shamrock Raffle ticket was pulled and the ticket drawn was #10 purchased by
Sarah Hoffman and sold by Tarah.
Meeting adjourned and next meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, April 4th at the Cowestt Inn, WW at
6:30pm.
