Approach:
The programme is delivered by experienced Ibec information and legal experts who provide
members with advice, consultancy and training in this area on a daily basis. There are a
number of activities and case studies as part of the course to ensure that the key knowledge
and skills are practiced. Case examples, best practice and research will be shared together
with a range of practical tips and techniques which can be brought back to your organisation
following the training. Participants will also get an opportunity to discuss issues that are
particularly relevant to themselves, while getting a chance to network and meet those from
other organisations.

Ibec Speakers:
Nichola Harkin
Nichola Harkin is a graduate of University College Dublin, where she obtained a Bachelor of
Civil Laws (BCL) (International) degree and the London School of Economics, where she
obtained a Masters of Law (LLM) (Employment Law). She qualified as a solicitor in 2013.
Nichola previously worked in private practice for a number of years. She joined Ibec’s
Employment Law Services Unit in 2015.
Sarah McSharry
Sarah McSharry works as an Employee Relations Executive, providing specialist advice on
employment law compliance, HR best practice and personnel policies and procedures to
Ibec member companies. Sarah graduated with a Masters of Arts from the University of
Aberdeen and is also a graduate of the National College of Ireland with a Diploma in
Employment Law.
