User Guide
INTRODUCTION
The Onyx vibration isolation table is designed to isolate sensitive equipment from vibrations
caused by foot traffic, HVAC systems, nearby operating machinery, etc. It consists of a stainlesssteel tabletop supported by four pneumatic isolators, which are easily inflated using a hand
pump or other air source. When properly inflated, these isolators will reduce the transmission of
vibrations to the tabletop, providing a vibration-free work surface for sensitive equipment.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURES
1. Place the Onyx vibration isolation table on a flat and level surface. Be sure the surface can
safely support the weight of both the Onyx and the equipment to be placed on it.
2. Place equipment on the Onyx so that the weight is balanced and evenly distributed.
3. Attach the 6mm tubing coming out of the back of the Onyx to the outlet side of the air
regulator. The outlet side is marked out.
4. Use the supplied 6mm tubing to connect the inlet on supplied regulator to a supply of
compressed air.
IMPORTANT: The air supply should not exceed 70 psi (0.5 MPa, 5 kg/cm2),
5. Once the air supply is connected, begin to increase the pressure into the Onyx by lifting the
cap on the regulator and slowly turning the knob clockwise. IMPORTANT: Do not exceed
70 psi (0.5 MPa, 5 kg/cm2), maximum operating pressure. Allow 10-15 seconds for the
Onyx’s leveling to stabilize. The leveling valves will raise the Onyx so that it is “floating”
approximately 2.3”
6. If you experience rocking, decrease the back pressure by turning the knob on the regulator
counterclockwise.
7. Lock the pressure adjustment knob by pushing it down.
8. The height was pre-adjusted at the factory, but if you need to adjust height you can
do so by adjusting the bolt attached to the lever arm. This may need to be done
outside of the enclosure.
