Jewellery Care - Bullion Exchange

Be it your Engagement Ring, Wedding Band or that simply stunning Diamond Ring you bought from Bullion
Exchange to dazzle your family and friends, Diamond & Gold Jewellery requires your care and attention.
Diamonds may be the hardest substance on earth, but they too have to be taken care of through the correct
usage.
Everyday exposure to creams, skin oils, hairspray, household chemicals and other substances can cause buildup
that will dull your diamond's brilliance and sparkle.
The best way to maintain Jewellery in its pristine condition is for Bullion Exchange to give your jewellery a
professional inspection and polish.
However, here are a few simple tips that you can follow to keep your diamonds secure and brilliant.
 Be Mindful of Jewellery when doing rough work –
Even though a diamond is durable, it can be chipped by a hard blow or the mounting can be damaged
which will cause the stone to fall out.
 Storage, Storage, Storage! –
Putting away your Diamond Jewellery requires care. Diamond Jewellery is most often damaged in the
storage process. Please consult us on how best to store your Jewellery. Try not to store your diamond
jewellery next to other jewellery as this can cause scratches.
 Don’t bid Goodnight & Goodbye to your diamonds –
try to remove your Jewellery before going to bed. Wearing your diamond jewellery in bed is bound to
result in a future repair! Imagine, while you´re asleep, if a claw catches in the bed linen, you turn over and
that 1mm claw is subjected to 112 pounds+ [8 stone+ of body weight] of lift and pressure. The claws and
setting could be subject to further contact which could damage it.
 A little care at home won’t hurt –
You can soak your jewellery in warm soapy water and use a very soft bristled toothbrush to get rid of the
visible dirt. You should then rinse in again with warm water and use our Bullion Exchange Polishing cloth
to help return the brilliance and lustre to your diamond jewellery.
 Come get your Diamond Jewellery professionally attended to least once a year –
We at Bullion Exchange, value our loyal customers and will undertake our Jewellery and give it a routine
safety inspection before removing any oil and dirt and polishing it to perfection.
Disclaimer
We will further consult you if any repairs need to be done in addition to the routine inspection and Polishing
we provide our customers with. Damaged claws, diamonds to be replaced and such repairs to be undertaken,
will be subject to the market rate of gold and diamonds as per the date the item is taken over for repair and
similar charges deemed necessary.
