Concord Hills Swim Team Athlete Code of Conduct
As an athlete and member of Concord Hills Swim Team, I will:
1. HAVE FUN!!!
2. Perform to the best of my abilities at practice and meets.
3. Promote a positive team spirit by being humble in victory and courageous in defeat;
congratulating my competitors and cheering for my teammates.
4. Follow directions of coaches, officials, volunteers, and lifeguards at practice and meets.
5. Respect my coaches’ decisions. I realize they know best and will not question their judgment.
6. Use swimmer signups (or ask my parents to do so) so coaches know I will be attending meets.
7. Behave in a way that reflects positively on me, my family, and my team.
8. Treat all swimmers, coaches, parents, officials, and volunteers with respect.
9. Respect the property of others and of the facilities I use for training and meets.
10. Not use profanity, tobacco, alcohol, drugs, or banned substances.
11. Not take part in any form of bullying, harassment, hazing, or abuse (verbal or physical). This
includes using social media or other electronic communications for bullying, etc.
Disciplinary Action: Should I conduct myself in a manner that violates the Code of Conduct, I
understand that disciplinary action will be taken at the discretion of the Coaching Staff and the
Swim Team Planning Committee. These actions may include removal from practice for one or
more days, not being allowed to participate in swim meets, and dismissal from the team.
Examples of Violations:
Disruption of practice to the detriment of other team members
Poor manners, poor sportsmanship, disrespectful comments
Petty theft, vandalism, or destruction of public or private property
Offensive behavior which results in the public embarrassment of Concord Hills Swim Team
As an athlete and member of Concord Hills Swim Team, I agree to follow the Code of Conduct
at all times.
