President’s Desk
I’ve heard the quote “Many Hands Make Light Work”
several times over the years. As I’ve experienced being
involved in several different organizations I have enjoyed
the pleasure of meeting extraordinary people who are kind
to help any way they can offer. My most special
experiences have been from meeting all of you, working
together as we learn each other’s gifts. I truly thank you
from the bottom of my heart as much of what Blackwell’s
PTA does for our children would simply be impossible
without all of you.

Events and Information
March is Colorectal Awareness
Month
Thank you to all Blackwell Superheroes
who made Blackwell Family Fun
Fair and Silent Auction a
success, whether you
volunteered time or joined the
fun exciting evening. We are
looking for new ideas for next
year; please contact
Kimberley Haywood at
[email protected] to assist
preparing for this great event.
These events are on
our PTA Radar; please let us know
how you can lend a paw!
According to United States Health &
Human Services:
“Colorectal cancer is the fourth most
common cancer in the United States
and the second leading cause of
death from cancer. Colorectal cancer
affects people in all racial and ethnic
groups and is most often found in
people age 50 and older.
The good news? If everyone age 50
and older were screened regularly, 6
out of 10 deaths from colorectal
cancer could be prevented.
Communities, health professionals,
and families can work together to
encourage people to get screened.
Blackwell PTA is 193 members strong and it is not too late to sign up!
Thank you Jaime
Feinberg for keeping
Blackwell’s Silent Auction
alive! What a great way
for adult fun to continue
during our Family Fun
Fair! You did awesome!!!
