When the Nazis came to power, they began to pick on the Jews. They
were blamed for all Germanys problems. The Nazis said that
Germany had lost the Great War in 1918 because of the Jews. Life
got steadily worse for the Jews under the Nazis.

The Jews were blamed for starting, and for Germany, losing the First World
War.
The Jews were blamed for all Germany's problems, e.g. economic.

wiped out in the Final Solution.
